Well I already left the Canada last year after having lived for 5 years. I am in my early 30s , south asian immigrant. I had a good paying job. I left because more so because of the social isolation and the pandemic measures. Plus I feel most Canadians may seem polite , but not friendly as in - extremely hard to make friends. Ethnic groups stick to themselves and don't mix. I found dating to be extremely hard and toxic. People have high individualistic mentality and don't open up.
I am now in working in Mexico / Latin America and my mental health has greatly improved. I am able to socialize and women here aren't as stuck up as in Canada. Real world interactions are valued here unlike in Canada where it's all about the apps and social media. Also who doesn't like some good consistent sunshine. Overall , I am happy to have left Canada and am not coming back.

I moved to Canada 2 years before and I agree financial stress and job instability is huge problem. Other than that everything is good, it is a beautiful place and there are lot of things to explore even in winters which I found great and off course summers are best here. But if you are not able to handle finances which in today’s times most people are struggling with than it is not worth the daily stress.

We applied for PR. Got invitation for my family within 10 months. Landed in GTA in 2016. Stayed there for a one month vacation became PRs. Observed many things and spoken to many of my friends while I was there. Situation was pathetic in a nutshell. Went back to continue my job in Middle East.
For 3 4 years I thought about what should we do. Should we move or not.
Ultimately decided to let go the PR status & not Waste my savings on this PONZY scheme.
Still working in Middle East and in Europe, family shifted back to India purchased a premium apartment a nice car. With our foreign savings I can easily retire in India - I'm still 39!

Tbh, one of the biggest drawbacks of CA is high taxes. Secondly, inflation is increasing much faster than the minimum wage; almost every immigrant who comes here with no previous work experience has to start from minimum paying jobs, which pays barely enough to sustain your life. For example: in Manitoba CA, minimum wage is $11.90 and gas price is $1.80( every province has its own minimum wage so it can vary, am just giving an example) + winters here are extremely chilly, temperatures can go as down as -50 Celsius. Also, if you have any knowledge about Canadian economy, economists are predicting a strong possibility of recession. Again, every person has its own reason to leave their home country and so you should make an informed decision. So please do your research before acting.

Lot of opportunities in India with 10 times less expenses here. The person who has the savings of approx 1.25 to 1.5 lacs monthly in India, never need to migrate to any county.. just go on tourist visa and enjoy the foreign countries for 7-10 days. The love, respect, affection and culture you receive in India is not available in the whole world and you can't buy in crores,... Don't forget, at 82.96 years Canadians enjoy some of the longest life spans on the planet. Healthy life expectancy is at 71.3 years. Canadians are generally a healthy lot. These facts are testament to the effectiveness of the health care system. Everyone who is a PR and citizen has equal access to the health care system - the system is income, wealth, social standing agnostic. There are walk-in clinics that are easily accessible. I have used walk-in clinics a number of times - found them to be quick and efficient. The presenter failed to mention walk-in clinics. It is incorrect to say that drugs in Canada are not strong - in fact, they are quite effective(speaking from experience). You won't find counterfeit drugs here; the country has a hi-tech system in place to guard against this. The government recently rolled out a National Dental program -- research it. Soon, a national drug program will also be rolled out - research it as well. There can be long waiting periods for elective surgeries, because they are elective. Essential ones are promptly attended to - one of my relatives needed one (he was operated on the same day and didn't have to pay a penny). A Sri Lankan(he is a middle class Canadian citizen) I know has undergone 5 different surgeries including by-pass; everything was free including the drugs. He is healthy enough to be currently working(not because he has to, but he wants to). You won't go bankrupt because of medical bills - this is the number 1 cause for bankruptcies in the US - even in India, people struggle with medical bills(I personally know of quite a few cases, even though they had insurance).

Only thing very painful in Indian cities is traffic jams, it takes 5-6hrs to travel end to end in any developed cities. Also the air pollution, the justice system, the corrupt police and murderous politics, the rapes and how the women are looked at like sex toys in Indian media, the suppression of fundamental rights of people, too many religious separatist politicians, no guarantee for life on roads due to accidents, quality of rote learning education and no practical knowledge, hypocritical people from bottom to top of the system ladder, 75 years since independence according to me still the attitudes are not changing, lessons are just heard like entertainment but nothing changes here, wherever we are we behave like slaves. These are just some of the reasons why every parent in India tells his child that India can never match developed countries, just get a visa and migrate 😊..

Reasons why I am happy with my decision to migrate to Canada from India:
    1) liberal country - Canada is a very liberal country. Very free country as long as you obey the laws. Conservative minded people will find it challenging here. People are open minded and friendly. My social circle includes people from various parts of the world- in fact majority of them are not Indians.
    2) work life balance is a huge plus - I work not more than 43 hours per week; weekends are off. No one from the workplace disturbs me during my vacation days. Plenty of time to pursue hobbies, spend time with family, etc. In Ontario, there is disconnect from work law in place. Labour laws are strong.
    3) no corruption - living in Canada for 20 years; never paid any bribes. Being an incorruptible person, I had lots of problems with corruption in India
    4) Canadian systems are very organized; there is a process for everything.
    5) excellent infrastructure -- it is a pleasure to drive on Canadian highways( I love long drives). No pothole problems. Honking is rare(only when absolutely required)
    6) clean water supply - it is safe to drink tap water. Absolutely no water rationing.
    7) air pollution - on average, this country has some of the cleanest air on the planet
    8) public toilets are clean and easy to use
    9) nature - for nature lovers, this country is excellent. Lots to explore. I often go for hikes - made friends during hikes. Beautiful country.
    10) cuisine -- you get to try cuisines from literally every part of the world, especially in Toronto
    11) people are not that religious; proportion of population with no religious affiliation is about 40% and growing
    12) Canadians are very independent; they become so at a very young age and remain so throughout their lives
    13) generally most Canadians contribute to the community through volunteer work. Volunteering is one of the core values of this country
    14) generally Canadians do not have an acquisitive mindset - this could be because they spend a lot of time among nature. For this reason, there are plenty of outdoor activities Canadians indulge in even during winter
    15) top notch health care infrastructure- refer my comment here that focuses on this. Canadians are very proud of their health care system - they are against privatization.
    16) no nosy neighbors; your privacy is hugely respected something I do cherish.
    17) clean streets. Public places such as parks, beaches, etc. are quite clean
    18) excellent educational infrastructure including public schools. Canada is a consistent top performer in PISA tests.
    19) excellent public pension system - efficient, fair, and reliable
    20) no show off culture - Canadians tend to be modest. Show off behavior is frowned upon.
    21) dignity of labour -even a janitors work is valued.
    22) Canadians are adept at adapting to life situations including negative events. Motto - strive to solve problems instead of complaining
    23) barely any racism - I haven't experienced any
    24) inequality- tolerable level of inequality. You cannot do away with inequality completely.
    25) pet friendly nation - for dogs, this country is paradise
    26) gender equality -- no difference between men and women
I'll stop here as regards positives. No society is perfect; negatives will follow in another comment.

India is a superpower theoretically. It has the intellectual capacity, the firepower, the human and natural resources, the strategic skills in combat and the will to destroy if it enters the arena of war.
But India has a much greater warlike stance. It does not go to war unnecessarily. Based on the principles of ahimsa, it has a peaceful controlled attitude and minds its own business. At all times from Independence, the country has built up its reserves in the sheer numbers of its forces. Only China has a similar capability.

Creating multiple streams for your income, spending less on expensive brands and food, generating new skills inside you are the ways to follow which allows us to save a lot of money.

Because Canada is better than india it's a developed country with lots of job opportunities you can settle there very easily in 4 years which is difficult in other countries
