music probably kept him sane. not just listening but learning and playing. really amazing when you think about it how well he used his time. on apple tv theres a featurette with the actor talking about his vault and the things in it.
so good. I got misty eyed when Solo and the kids made peace and then he took them in. I hope he ends up making it to the end and ends up their teacher. The inside of his vault was a window into his soul. He's curious, intelligent, an artist, musician, scientist. I hope he ends up being the teacher for all the kids. Imagine how smart you would be if you had nothing better to do but read and study and learn? there's no telling how much he knows. If I were wanting to rebuild a silo or society proper he'd be the first pick on my team. Just look at what he was studying and reading about. Had his little lab setups. He was studying physics, chemistry, math, history, biology, music, painting, model building etc. I hope they don't kill him off.
Grace (paraphrased): “we come on every week for every episode and critique it…and when we look at it as a whole we are much kinder to the season than I think we were on each individual episode”. I wholeheartedly agree: the season is a combination of each episode, not each sentence, each sequence, each character style. Imagine if we critiqued each other that way in our daily relationships, we wouldn’t have any. I think some reviewers have been too harsh, and especially so when they focus in on one person that they feel cannot act and rip them apart it starts to seem personal, like the person reminds them of someone they dislike for some reason. With that being said, I enjoy your recaps. Silo is one of the best series out there, and I thoroughly enjoy the maze it puts us through each week; figuring it out is the fun of it.
There’s no denying that the pacing is off this season and the majority of it seriously dragged. The fact that the final two eps were so back heavy is only further evidence of this. I think a lot of viewers won’t have made it this far, sadly.
I actually didn't like this episode. especially in silo 17. Juliette suddenly is miracleously cured and shows no signs of injuries? Solo also completely is healed once they get back to the vault? The reveal of solo’s character was underwhelming. As for silo 18, billings change was too sudden and is not persuasive to me. So is Sim’s. Lucas’ story was not clear to me he wanted to tell Bernard about the bottom which suggests that he is still on bernard’s side. yet he also wanted to hide the book with his mom? Why? I'm not buying That Lucas is able to run around the silo without Bernard being aware
Audrey has a very protective mama bear attitude because she has a baby. Understandable. Primal survival instinct has kicked in.
Music is like ice cream for the soul.

He’s certainly not smart. He only has the intellect of a small child who reads a lot of books. He is not properly developed.
1:01:48 he already told her. He let her know he knew with his coded language
Easily the best episode of the season
Love this ep bruh

@@spacecadet2172yeah I think only curious minds have made it this far
Yes it was
Prediction: in finale, Lukas will break thru to 17 at the same time that Juliette is suited up to leave. They come face to face. Fade to black.
The trailer to season 2 shows him climbing a ladder in the pit

@@Breezyk4832 agree with all those critiques. That being said, it was def the best ep of the season so far, which is maybe saying a lot…
great critiques, thanks for sharing.
Don’t forget about the girl with the 6 minute exposition dump out of nowhere in the middle of the episode.
I still enjoyed it. No fiction is perfectly realistic.
