Thank you, Chris, it's always nice to see the end results, I still would like to see it one more time after the bridge has been installed and the silt has dropped to the bottom of the pond and the grass is growing.
Maybe we will get one last look when the grass is green and the fish are jumping? Please. Sometimes owners want additions, crossing my fingers. It will be quite the sight when it's green and blue. Good work fellas!
right, in order to bring it to life they need to enrich this water with oxygen by putting a few oxygen pumps into the middle of the pond. Otherwise, it becomes a dead foul-smelling brackish stagnant pond.
We had 4 inches of rain in 15-20 minutes on June 19 and the dugout still has suspended silt, fine clay particles no matter what I’ve tried, alum, pool clear, etc. read where it could take months to settle out. That pond job you did looks real nice! Love that kind of work, could watch this all day,did lots of this on small scale,R.M.,private so on,made my dugout and pond with my old 580B case backhoe, hauled dirt away with my gravel truck until it was hard dumping it out, borrowed neighbours model 60 cat scraper and pulled it with my 8030 allis, worked great,I wish I could send you pics.
Fully enjoyed the whole building of this pond. Hope you were completely finished with the fish bed/islands before all the rain started. Look forward to more videos..
Wow! That is truly impressive, you guys did an outstanding job! I love how natural it looks with curves and the peninsula of trees. Great job my friend!
Really cool to see the finishing pictures;you can feel the potential, and even I am eager to stock this pond with tons of fish. Thanks for bringing us along with the journey !!!
Looks good. One scoop at a time. Like all the different ponds. My choice in that material would be a 627F, E, or G. I know you're paying for your rigs, so makes sense using it. But running 80,000 lbs across the dam would hammer it in. Maybe choke the import rock before it goes unraveled and off the slope. 3.1 slopes look great. Looks like the bottom was barely deflecting an inch seeing Volvo tire tracks. Perfect! Great looking job!
What kind of fish are you stocking in your lake? How many fish of each species, and how soon will you be starting the stocking process? I'm full of questions, and I know that. I'm just curious, that's all. Glad to be a new subscriber, too. This is a channel worth subscribing to! On a personal note, I'd start with 500-1,000 Largemouth Bass, about 500 Spotted Bass, 1,000-2,000 Black Crappie, 1,000-2,000 White Crappie, 500-1,000 mixed bag of Bluegill & Suncrackers, & 3,000-5,000 Shiners. Then, I'd probably go with 200-300 mixed bag of Flathead and Channel Catfish. Add about a dozen or so Grass Carp...and there ya go! Of course, I'm not trying to tell you what to do on your own property, as it relates to your new lake. I'm just saying that that's what I'd do, if it was my lake. Have fun with whatever you want to do, stocking-wise! Have a great weekend!
That is beautiful great job you can tell you are very good at your job. I like the fact you show it from start to finish even with all your set backs and changes by your client thanks again on all the filming you do cant wait to see your next big projects
Wow that’s better than I thought it was going to be, beautiful. Just hope all that brown dirt settles to the bottom. OK throw some aquatic plants in there, that be nice and as long as they don’t get out-of-control! But they help with oxygen.
Great work. Once the bridge is installed and both sides are connected, that will be beautiful. Also, its big enough that it can be stocked up really well with fish. As a personal choice, I would have wanted a small dock built for a fishing pier or just somewhere to sit and let my feet dangle in the water on a hot day.
Woohoo! Job well done Chris! What a magnificent pond this turned out to be. You’ll see it’ll clear up soon and then the fun part get’s starting! Give it time and show us footage from time to time! It’ll develop beautifully I’ll bet!
So happy for you to see this project completed! Enjoyed this one. If you don't mind come back in a year or so if you are allowed to show the grass and bridge.
It looks great. I really like the way you made it look more natural than just an oval or oblong shape. I hope we can see it after the bridge goes in. Thanks for sharing.
That is one hell of a pond it would look great with some wild flower patches to break up the green grass . They also do a decent job as erosion control on slopes .
Wow that looks awesome I can't wait to see you do some fishing at your pond my brother-in-law built a pond out at his mom and dad's house it took it only a month to fill up and now it's completely stocked with fish
3 yrs would be a great opportunity to highlight the final results of your expertise in just one of many ponds/lakes we've watched come to fruition in front of our dedicated eyes.
I've been trying to find this video for the longest. You've done a fantastic job on the 5 acre pond my man and I've enjoyed watching it. I wish you well. 👏🙏
I've been involved in some major IT projects and a great feeling when everything is running smoothly when all is done. That feeling must be further enhanced with permanent projects like this. You can see the results and show your grandchildren. I wonder what it's like to have the $$$s to actually think up and realise projects on this scale? Must have cost a packet. Still, I guess they will be able to get a bigger boat eventually. 6:35.
Chris I forgot what it looked like before you started, have you had any thought to include a before photo with the finished video for the memory impaired fans?
Would love to see an up to date on this pond with all the grass grown and the water clear , Maybe if you have a spare hour with your schedule you might treat us , Regards from Dublin Ireland .. :-)
Absolutely amazing, Chris, Timmy, and Uncle Festus!! Great work. You're right, Chris, the dam looks very small. I wouldn't have believed it. I like the way you put that white flag and white rock right at the water level before you made this video to make us think you had so closely estimated it !!! LOL Seriously.....I don't mean that at all. You do great work. I, too, like the way the peninsula both looks and feels....it's like it freakin' belongs there What a difference from the very first video (all trees) and you saying it's going to be about a 1,200 pond. Hard to see it then. Thanks for doing this video. I would most definitely have lost money had I bet on how soon the lake would fill !!!!
Unbelievable job! It's nice (and interesting) to see how the finished product turns out after viewing all the videos of you putting it together piece by piece! I'm glad you showed us all that! Well done friend!
What a great job you have done Chris, a beautiful end result, which will just keep getting better as nature adds the finishing touches. I'm usually free from the feeling of envy, today is an exception. I hope the owners show you proper appreciation!
I think they should put rocks at the end of drain pipe think one step ahead because people do forget about things like that until something bad happens. Yeah that is a nice pond in time with some fish and ducks 🐟🐟🎣🎣
I have watched a good amount of letsdig18 videos. All of them are awesome and this pond/lake is going to be on the most pretty ones of them all. I do have a question and if anyone reading this could help me answer the following question: At what point (Ex: Size, Depth, Flow, Soil Type, etc.) does the Army Core of Engineers need to be involved? Just curious as I know the bigger lakes are often managed by the Army Core of Engineers to make sure floods don’t get out of hand and stuff like that. Dam good stuff!
It's ridiculous how awesome that turned out, especially Ariel view from the drone! Once all the muck settles and all that water clears up and after a good full year of seasons and everything settles nice nice you would never know you were there at all. Wicked Nice job.
Hi Chris Peter from Rochester Australia just love watching you creating your pond dams ect.Chris I am wondering where Winston is as we miss seeing you together would love to know hope this is not a bad question good health look forward to hearing from you Peter and Veronica.
Chris, for the fun of it, why not show us a montage of pictures showing before and after of this whole job as it progressed from start to as it is now. I think that would an interesting short video, that'll show what you've done, rather quickly.
Gonna be beautiful once all the greenery fills in. You guys do amazing work. Thanks for the drone shots.
Absolutely beautiful ! Thanks for remebering to show us when it filled!
I'm not black bowling alley ok
@letsdig18 Can you do an update?
Do you guys have any idea how he filled that pond with water?
Thank you, Chris, it's always nice to see the end results, I still would like to see it one more time after the bridge has been installed and the silt has dropped to the bottom of the pond and the grass is growing.
Absolutely no doubt that is exactly what I was thinking would really help our curious minds
Maybe we will get one last look when the grass is green and the fish are jumping? Please. Sometimes owners want additions, crossing my fingers. It will be quite the sight when it's green and blue. Good work fellas!
Yes please!
👍🏻
Please do. Beautiful work!
Frog jumping at 4:36

I had trouble picturing it complete and filled.
Thanks.
Fully enjoyed the whole building of this pond. Hope you were completely finished with the fish bed/islands before all the rain started. Look forward to more videos..
It would be nice to see the pond today a year later with the grass growing and the water cleared. Great work

Dang y'all do beautiful work ..every job I seen you do comes out flawless..
What a fantastic job done. Enjoyed the many episodes to construct this pond. Thank you look forward to future major projects like this one.
Chris you are a master at your craft! I thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole process. You are right to be proud of the job. Well done sir.
Great job Chris & thanks for the update - you don't really appreciate the size of the project until it's full of water!
Looks good. One scoop at a time. Like all the different ponds. My choice in that material would be a 627F, E, or G. I know you're paying for your rigs, so makes sense using it. Very nice I’ve been watching your progress with great enthusiasm and can’t wait to see the pond come to life especially with some fat Larry’s!!!!
What kind of fish are you stocking in your lake? How many fish of each species, and how soon will you be starting the stocking process? I'm full of questions, and I know that. I'm just curious, that's all. Glad to be a new subscriber, too. This is a channel worth subscribing to!

thanks for showing the Job with the pond full hope to see it when the bridge is installed beautiful job
Looks fabulous! I love how the little sail boat politely rode out the rain.
Hard to believe that was the woods that you introduced Tim to us while you surveyed the land.
The bridge will just make that even more awesome.
That is beautiful great job you can tell you are very good at your job. I like the fact you show it from start to finish even with all your set backs and changes by your client thanks again on all the filming you do cant wait to see your next big projects
That's cool looking project guys! Nice job, it would be cool to see with the grass grown up now.
Great work Chris and Tim. One of the best ponds I have seen. Actually the best one. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome there thousands of years of fun fishing in the sun thumbs up my friend
Wow that’s better than I thought it was going to be, beautiful. Just hope all that brown dirt settles to the bottom. OK throw some aquatic plants in there, that be nice and as long as they don’t get out-of-control! But they help with oxygen.
Wow that turned out amazing!!! Hope you can get video or pictures of it a year from now when its all growed in. Great job to you and the guys!
Perfection ! Wow ,I just love it . will you do some edge planting one day ? To merge the shore and pond a little ?
Great work. Once the bridge is installed and both sides are connected, that will be beautiful. Also, its big enough that it can be stocked up really well with fish. As a personal choice, I would have wanted a small dock built for a fishing pier or just somewhere to sit and let my feet dangle in the water on a hot day.
That is awesome Chris, would even be able to use a small sailing boat on that larger area. An excellent recreation spot.
I’d love to see this pond a couple of years from now! Great job!!!
Awesome job! Couple of months should clear it up in time to dig out for the bridge after house construction is done!
Love to see some more videos of this pond and construction of the house. Thank you for sharing !! awesome video!
Woohoo! Job well done Chris! What a magnificent pond this turned out to be. You’ll see it’ll clear up soon and then the fun part get’s starting! Give it time and show us footage from time to time! It’ll develop beautifully I’ll bet!

Great work, a small island to encourage bird life would be a good addtion.
Very enjoyable watching this project. Thank you.
I've been trying to find this video for the longest. You've done a fantastic job on the 5 acre pond my man and I've enjoyed watching it. I wish you well. 👏🙏
Chris, I can tell by the sound in your voice, you are as proud of that pond as a daddy with a new baby! Very nice job! Looks like a park!
Nice pond. It would be nice to know the distance around the perimeter of the pond. Good job. It’s beautiful.
Awesome project! Glad I didn't have to write the check. I hope the channel cats are on the way. Absolutely beautiful

Nice! New addition to my vision board: 5 acre private pond with bridge on my property estate.
Dude, that really came out nice. Would love to walk out my back door and have that. No need for vacationing.
Great work and with a realy beautiful result!
Would love to see an up to date on this pond with all the grass grown and the water clear , Maybe if you have a spare hour with your schedule you might treat us , Regards from Dublin Ireland .. :-)
You can almost classify that as a lake.
And once the London Bridge is in place it will look spectacular.
Good guesstimating.
Absolutely amazing, Chris, Timmy, and Uncle Festus!! Great work. You're right, Chris, the dam looks very small. I wouldn't have believed it. Love the videos as you work and then the completed project in a working state. Thank and keep posting.
Would love to see it all when its complete.. Grass and clear. You guys did an absolutely amazing and professional job!!! Be proud of your work! 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely stunning. We live on a 10 acre lake and when it was built in 1992 and the week after it was built we got 5 inches of rain and filled it.
wth ? i was waiting for another pond to fillup XD damn recommendations :D
Please keep us posted In the future be nice to see the progression of the lake how the water cleans up and the grass starts growing Great work
My wife and myself watched this video she mentioned how nice the pond looks. She also said they must be rich to have that work done. 👍
Great piece of work. When do you plan on introducing your fish into the lake? Looks spectacular.
One more visit after the greenery fills in would be cool too. Great job Chris!
