Yeah on traditional NLEs at least. Maybe the Final Cut Pro way is indeed better? I dunno. But the traditional NLE way is fun too. Hmm, also the cameraman isn't using a stabilised camera. :(
I'm far from the first to say it, you may need to edit the video to be short by just a *little* bit. Otherwise, great insight...and like a few I wish it was much, *much* longer.
I love the openness of this series. I do miss the GTP cars of the 80’s and early 90’s. I remember the Nissans whipping around Daytona at a real life “ludicrous speed”. Their closing speeds to the lower categories had to be close to 100mph. None of my boys give a crap about racing and my old man is too old to tough it out in an infield tent anymore. I don’t know what my point was but, whatever. I think it was just that I want to be a kid again and watch brabham and Jones go way too fast in cars that disintegrated on impact.
it is things like this that are why I want to see the regulations around LMP2 changed to allow for more variety in the cars that race on the tracks. engine, weight, and dimensions regs could stay the same but give some manufacturers more freedom with deigning a car to race like is done with LMP1 cars, it would make them ore interesting to watch allow for more new things to be tested in different ways for future use in road cars.
There are 3 categories worl wide in prototype series (petite le mans) LMP1, LMP2, LMP3. Racing arround the world in asianLM, WEC, EuroLM (Michelin Cup) and of Course 24h LeMans. There is nowhere a dpi class!!!! It's an own created class of imsa. No LMP2 no LMP1. They wanted be higher class than LMP2 but dont dare (cowardly) to be a LMP1 - so they took a Chassis LMP2 and call it DPi, and just let them have more horsepower, to be sure that they can beat LM2..... not the spirit of Motorsport!!!!
I will now forever doubt the length of RACER channel videos... but I will still watch them
Nice editing lol
As an engineer I LOVE these tech tour videos, please keep it up and go further in depth if possible!
Someone forgot to delete the b-roll off the end. Been there.
I already was exited for a 17 minutes tech Tour :(
Me too. Easy editing mistake, though. And the extra shots were nice :)

I like the film noir touch at the end.

Thanks for these insights :) Hoped the vid would be actually this long ;-)
