Jonathan is THE best "Jesus" ever! I've seen all the Jesus movies and The Chosen is finally bringing the human side to Jesus AND the Apostles! They were real, sinful people, with real lives.it gas brought me closer to Jesus than anything other than the drawing of the Holy Spirit!!

I believe that God personally chose Johnathan to play Him and then led Dallas to him. I've seen many, if not all, the Jesus movies and shows out there, and they were all wonderful, but not one of them portrayed Jesus the way Johnathan does. He brings a real life, authentic Jesus to life. Every other show/movie, portrays Jesus as always being serious and kind of "unrelatable", but Johnathan brings out the human side and does everything that everyone else was doing in that time. He laughed, he cried, he danced, he joked, he cared, and most importantly he loved. I believe that when Jesus walked this earth, He was exactly like that. To pick out my favorite scene from the show, I can't, because i LOVE it all. The Chosen is the best show that I have even seen. It has made me cry a river of tears, and made me laugh out loud. I love Johnathan and every one of the cast on The Chosen. God bless him and everyone involved in the acting and the crew who works so hard to create the show and make it the best it can be. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖

Thanks for this segment! I love how honest Jonathan is about his life and especially his story of surrendering to Christ. Russell looked like he really was at a loss for words at some point! Which is interesting in itself. The biggest thing to me was Jonathan’s humility and honesty. He was truly born for this role and this moment in his life and, by extension, OUR lives. I hope he has enough strength and grace to finish this journey strong! The Resurrection will be amazing, I’m sure!✝️💜🙏🏼

It made me fall in love with Jesus. Jesus is usually portrayed as so serious and stern. This is a human, loving, and even humorous Jesus. He goes through the range of human emotions. Jesus seems closer now, and so loving and forgiving. My favorite scene was when Jesus healed Barnaby, and Barnaby ran and picked him up. It was so joyful.

I bcame the chosen fan since the day one. Season 1 with Jesus 's entry nd his encounter with ith Mary,Mathew ,peter nd women at the well. And season 4 is jst mind-blowing.jonathan is 🔥 nd all the other actors have given it their best. Each episode of season b4 is worth watching nd incredible, especially Jesus's scene with lazrus nd pharisees.i jst cnt seem to get enough of them. The way Jonathan has portrayed the boldness of the lion of Judah is jst awesome.i wish this Jonathan who almost looks like the jesus we see in the pictures nd at the same time looks like a lion as well do something similar in real life as well. In my assessment he is a vry daring person in real life as well,a trailblazer nd trendsetter. I wud say he is an avid head....,...Indian movie character tezaab.

Thanks for this episode Shawn, love the Chosen. As a believer, it's hard sometimes to reconcile things like those who get healed and those that don't. I loved the exchange with Little John, calling us back to trusting Jesus, accepting the mysteries, and believing we are who He says we are.

Maybe this was the time for a “real and close Jesus”. That Jesus of Powell was the vision of Zeffirelli. My grandparents loved it and it served a purpose.

I haven't been able to get "into" the Chosen series. Maybe it's because I have my own image of Jesus in my imagination, &/or I find it difficult to watch when things aren't always the same as you actually find in the Bible. I remember when my son was younger, watching the Lord of the Rings movies, & he was appalled when he saw a scene which wasn't in the books. Later, he got a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production & learned the value of artistic expression. Even with that, neither he nor I seem to be able to watch the series. I wish I could. Still, with saying all of this, I believe Jonathan looks the part, & I really like hearing his testimony & realizing how he was groomed to play this part, and I love how it is reaching sooo many others. I just hope & pray Jonathan can stay as humble as he seems, right now, because as you know, that is not an easy thing to do. (My son lived in LA/Pasadena for 4 yrs as a starving artist, and after a severe panic attack, he switched gears & is now a children's picture book author, while also being a stay-at-home dad to their baby : ) )

The healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda and the scene with Jesus meeting with Nicodemus has been 2 of my personal favorites. The only thing about the Chosen that bothers me is what they keep saying about making Jesus relatable. Sometimes I think The Chosen relays the relatable aspect of Jesus above His divinity. Don't get me wrong, I do watch and enjoy The Chosen, but I am beginning to hear and see things with this series, that I am not sure about. My personal favorite actor playing the role of Jesus is Robert Powell.

I truly believe that God has preordained Jonathon to represent him to a generation that needs to know him in a way they can relate to. Michelangelo did not consider himself "a painter"...he saw himself as primarily a sculptor. GOD knew better and brought him to the Sistine Chapel. The rest is HISTORY as the hand of God decreed this was the time for his purpose. Jonathon came into this world for this specific time. The Bible says that we were "chosen" by him, he created us and knew us in the womb. You Jonathon, are here for this direct purpose. He is right when he says everything must come to an end. However; The project and mission of Jonathon playing in The Chosen will, sadly, end in two more seasons. But, JONATHON ROUMIE will NOT end.Nor will Jesus ever end...he is everpresent within our lives until our death and then life will REALLY JUST BEGIN for all eternity with him! I have to say also, that it is dramatically evident in Russell Brand that the Spirit of God is now within him! I am so happy for him. My favorite Jesus moment in the show?.. I love it all, but the scene of Mary remembering a tender joy as she played with him as a toddler, playing with his cousin with toys as a normal toddler...then when she describes his birth and the pain and loneliness of his being grown and no longer "needs" him. That is a gutwrenching time in a mother's life and you don't know the loneliness and agony of worry until it happens. He goes home for a holiday and gently tells her "It is time"...the sweet loving look on his face as he touches her hand. She lost her breath, panicked, and asked "Are you sure..now?" He held her hand and smiled a sad mournful smile and patted her hand and told her very own words back to her when she asked him to turn the water into wine at the wedding..." If not now...when?" This is one of my favorite episodes. And when he is a bit frightened at what he knows will happen and he turns to his Momma for help and to talk to, but he is missing the guidance of his earthly father, Joseph. He flashes to his childhood when his dad taught him about reading.."Heartbroken" and explains what it means...It means your heart is SAD, and you "NEED HELP". Then in the night, he goes to his Dad's tomb, crying, he says as he places his right hand on the gravestone, "Heartbroken...to be Sad...in need of help...as he cried. After our parents die, we realize how much we still NEED them. At times when we are hurt or heartbroken in our lives, we know we can always turn to our parents for comfort and love. Then, when they are gone, we become effectively, Orphans. So your journey is to return to their grave because we still need them. These scenes are profoundly REAL to all parents. If anyone ever wants to know what it feels like to be a parent of a grown child...it is "heartbroken loneliness and deep profound Pride" at the same time.

This is 🎉a hippie Jesus. It's cool but unbiblical. The Jesus of the Bible had the physical and spiritual aura of God in the flesh. Like Dr Luke discribes him taller than average and with grace all over his body and soul.

It’s interesting that every Biblical Scholar (Messianic Jewish Rabbi, Protestant Theologian, and Catholic Priest) all say this is the truest and most authentic representation of Jesus they have ever seen. I think, friend, that they know better than you do about the Biblical verity of the show and of how Jesus is portrayed in the scripture. I have walked with Jesus for 60 years in intimate fellowship and I can say without doubt that this is the Jesus I have known my whole life: funny, loving, disciplining, embracing, and full of holiness and humanity as God.
