There's a drink at a restaurant that I fell in love with. I took a picture of the menu but I'm not sure how much of each to put in. It's cucumber vodka, st Germain Elderflower liqueor, lime and pineapple juice. Thoughts?
I've been trying to get more into drinking bourbon with ice or similar, but I struggle to really appreciate the flavor and it ends up just tasting like "bourbon" (if that makes sense). Do you have any recommendations on how to try to get more used to drinking it? Either types that are easier for beginners to handle or things to do while actually drinking it to make it better? Thanks!
Have you tried club soda or mineral water? It keeps the flavor but cuts some of the sharpness. You could eventually reduce how much you put in when you are more used to the taste. There are also a lot of great whiskey cocktails like an old fashioned that are usually pretty friendly because they have some other flavors and a little sweetness.
Have you done a Sazerac yet? They're pretty good, albeit there's no ice. My go-to's what I call "Sir Percy," which is just one part Jameson and one part Disarono over ice.

the vast majority of bars make them like shit. If you're going to a place that would make them better, you probably don't want to be ordering a LIIT anyway.

I've done a couple of my own creations, but I typically drink pretty boring stuff myself.
wet shake all ingredients, put coke in a glass first, then it layers on top pretty easily!
