Nice vids you film Jacob. I have a question Jacob I got a $470 American Bass Godfather Series subwoofer and I was playing the lows up very loud. Now I didn't break the subwoofer in and it wrecked the coil and coil former because I had about 5k rms watts on it. Now the question is if I properly break in my recone kit subwoofer will it get more xmax and excursion?? It clames to get 30mm of xmax but it seemed to only get around 22mm. All I know is I'm putting my subsonic filter on around 28hz for awhile. It's a very nice subwoofer but I turned it up way too loud on 15hz.
Breakin helps loosen the sub so it doesn’t stretch too quickly and tear the suspension. I wouldn’t do 5k rms clamped power on a 3k rms rated sub, try to keep it clean 3k clamped
@@JacobViral Your right. I'll put less watts on my subwoofer when I get the recone kit.
@@JacobViral I always say go with more power so that like a bigger engine that needs to tow a load. You wanted to be able to idle with an easy pull. Have a top rated sub at a certain wattage and just never allow the amplifier with higher power to exceed the recommendations by the manufacturer to the subwoofer and they will last forever.

Long ago I had 2 10" Lanzar Pro of the OptiDrive days. Those babies hit. Then I got my Rockford powers 10s holy moley! The capable equipment Now with an affordable budget is amazing today.
If they would make these colors variable for each size and both mono and multi channel i would DEF get a matching set for each of my vehicles' builds in time. (Just couldn't afford to do all at one go heh) soo sharp!
He could easily hire some kid for $9 an hour or someone remotely as a service to not only have different anodized colors but also have vinyl decal, printing stickers or silk screening or even laser engraving to the amp chassie and shell itself.
Every company that exists is capable of this simple very low cost upgrade.
There is a million things these companies could do to add options of exclusivity to just separate themselves so far from the rest when we have digital broadcasting like we do for cars when we choose all the options on a vehicle.
These guys have old school technology and the amplifier with some circuits added as options to the board's old school. I know what games they are playing and Steve Mead is really horrible when he charges 10 times the price for some technology that is ancient now. It's just in a different Box. And he looks cool. But when you realize then you realize.
I think it's really cool what JP is doing. But he could be a lot cooler because he still hasn't reached the success of image and style of the nineties yet none of these guys have. Nobody has surpassed Rockford days. Or PPI days. When their vehicles pulled up you knew it was top top top. And we don't really see that today. But I am all about customization and I know there's a million options today even with electroluminescent panelling. These guys could even include a sticker that operates off of 12 volts or 1.5 volts and goes to the music like a Vu meter and picks up the signal chain and you can put it in your back window promoting their brand but none of these guys are smart like that for real. Meanwhile I have all of these ideas and I'm not doing a damn thing with them but running my mouth.

I sat in the first ppi van back in 92 or 93. The old astro that had the 3" plexi windshield. Nowadays every kid at any show has 2 or 3 times the power their company demo brand was putting out with those cheapo taramp monsters
Might even have been 90, 91.so long ago its hard to remember. I did like the old white/bright color schemes compared to the standard black chassis stuff. Soundstream stood well out with that anodized blue chassis. Orion the red. Ppi of course was just painted white, but still all easily recognizable at a glance
@@MacNifty hell i bought a pair of the coustic subs just because i liked that blue aluminum accent trim and stiffening support. I'd like to do an entire build with a wall of them, even though i know they aren't the best quality, just because i like the colors lol. I figure as long as i keep them in parameter and don't beat them to hell i should be ok.

Reeeally liking those colors man. So much nicer than black or silver. I like that they are easily identifiable by color- but i rather they offer a choice in color at variable sizes

I have my set of x-10's and found out they work and hit lows in a 6 inch bigass areo port with a simple dual sub box way better then L slot port box FACTS I have successfully instilled cooling fans to the amp board separated from the main fan network that on it now. Not like this setup with fans on the outside do not work at all :D LOL I have the same amp like this guy but it is for my 2 x-18's v2

Dam i need box specs im doing same subs they say 3 cubes but this box in video is more then 3 cubes its deep probably over 4 cubes

Surprised he went with 2 10s with that trunk space. They have a lot of air to move around that box in the trunk. Great daily setup nonetheless!!!
It's a great amp, I could have bought it but the import tax is too expensive in France.
At the place i got my gear they was insistent on 2 10s for my car but i had to get 2 mmat monster 12s 1000 watt each with the mmat2000 amp. It's not as high in wattage as this set up but i can still hit 138 spl. I could get better if i had maxed out power but cant upgrade the alternator in my car. Thinking of getting a capacitor.
Wonder what kinda power its putting out on music ive seen them dyno'd but thats on test tone at one ohm music aint the same as the hz change you will see rise plus any box rise if theres any
having a 250 amp alternator and extra battery for a 2000 watt system was more thanoverkill
How? 30-40% of the amps the alt charges goes to the car accessories. And unless the car is in motion or being revved to like 2.5-3k you’re not getting 250 amps anyway. Thought that was common knowledge. And no system is 100% efficient either at low ohm loads so more is always better.

Probably the limiting factor here is cone area is king two tens can be loud but trully only spl with some crazy steel fab spl build at like four fifty hz but as far as moving a bunch of metal and insane hair tricks theres only two more inches than a eighteen honestly one eighteen would do better imo no hate intended also the coils can only be so big with smaller sub only so much travel suspension wise
I have jp33 and I have to problems with it so far the Bluetooth chip came lose in the amp and couldn't pair but now that hooked it to lituim I charged the caps with a test light before I hooked the 0 guage to the amp now the amp comes on but no sound I bought 2 amps so I check it with the other amp and everything is fine I've been going back and forth with d4s to send it back still waiting on a response
Those are 2k rms subs, why would he only do 4300 let alone a under powered 33 o n them?! 🤦🏾♂️
@@musical_o3 I suggested the lower JP amps because they are very under rated. I really don't think those subs can take 2k for very long. Smoke💨💨. His choice though.

I think he is having a wiring issue or needs a cel in back. He said he has a 250 amp alt under there.. it shouldn't be in clip unless its an ebay alt that needs to be floored to get power out
