The fact that the exhaust note is perfectly dialed with the turbo spool and one doesn’t distort or overpower the other , you literally can hear both in sync which is what i like personally about your build is the balance of the two notes it just sounds perfect all the way around man ! 🔥👍🏼

I think fast intentions has a smaller twin turbo kit that would be nice. I like just out driving people with a much slower car utilizing cornering braking overall driving skills > straight line stuff... but - I live in a completely different area than you that sorta lends itself to canyon runs

Z1 motorsports provides a kit with the rear coolant pipe that has a part that connects to a passage port through the blocks valley. Honestly if you just want to canyon carve, FBO, tune, suspension and tires is more than enough. If you have an auto i think you can do a valve body job and pedal response tune to help out.
Had mine for 5 years and about to hit 180k on mine. Only thing I had to change in it parts wise was my alternator but other then that this car has treated me well. One of the most reliable sports cars you can buy at a bargain price 👍

I see you have the APS upper plenum, what lower are you running? I would try to keep the bigger cams in. If you have the uprev lower plenum then you should get ahold of a DE lower… longer runners will help with the torque. If you already have those, I would double check the installed lash on the cams. If it’s too tight it might be midrange power by effectively adding duration. Usually the vq’s will tighten up a little bit over time and at temp they will tighten as the alu expands. If you already have a long runner lower plenum, and you have good lash then I would try running the JWT cam on the intake side, and leave the bigger cam on the exhaust side. Having a wide split is huge in the LS world. The best cams do this, because it gives you the shorter duration on the intake to help with torque, but the longer exhaust just helps a TON with extending the rpm band. Like what you were talking about with power falling off with the jwt… most cams have basically the same intake and exhaust duration for the vq. The thing is there just isn’t too much power to be made on a v6 NA with cams, and there certainly isn’t the same kind of money in research for the vq cams as there is the LS cam and pushrod v8 world. They run 20+ degrees more duration on the exhaust cam and it works great. My ls cam is 243 and 251 at .05” for example (it’s rather conservative so I can use hydraulic lifters). Where as my vq35 bc 272’s were 234/234 at .05” by comparison. Seems the Japanese world is just behind on that front. 2jz’s same type of thing for Gsc cams until you get into the “race” cams which you just can’t use on the street. My point is, I would try the jwt on the intake, that will return some midrange torque but the extra exhaust duration of your current cam will really help power up top. No it won’t be as good as having the bigger cam on both intake and exhaust, but it bridges that gap. With maybe some cerakote piston coat on your exhaust pipes, a long runner manifold, a custom cam setup, you should be able to pickup enough torque to get where you want, while keeping more top end
Agree with changing the lower plenum first . Cheap and fast to see if that helps . If you want more mid then do the stock G35 lower if you want more top then change it to the Rev-up lower plenum .

He probably got the transmission build obviously, because what comes in the 350z and G35 is a truck transmission so it’s usually a little clunky but it probably has something to do with that

That's why I asked.
Honestly nothing is just a cd009 that came in these cars factory from 05+ triple disc clutch and twin disc one prior shifted the same. I have a heavy duty master cylinder but the stock one was actually better lol. And a rjm pedal assembly
Seeing the G in action just makes you appreciate not just all the other Gs but what you can do with a DE if you put your mind to it. Great work on letting other people know the possibilities of this machine 🚀

Love hearing this thing everytime you pass by David Suzuki 😂. This might sound crazy but would you consider running a supercharger for low end in tandem with the turbo
The problem with that is you can't use the vortech supercharger kits they sell for these cars because they don't have any low end, you would need a roots type or top mount supercharger that thers only one kit that exists for this engine and its shit. Better if spraying nitrous for low end or go back to a smaller cam setup
