I was in Koln for 2 and a half years and then moved to Potsdam for an internship. I chose to move back to Koln again because this is honestly the only city in Germany that made me fall in love with it. Koln is that one city where you feel young, open, excited and want to live life like there is no tomorrow !

Interesting gesture, coaster on the top👍🏻. There is a similar gesture in Turkiye, when you don’t want any more tea, you put the teaspoon on the top. But I’ve never seen anyone doing that. Plus, Kölsch bier ist sehr schön😊

Cologne is much older than Glasgow, Munich, Paris, Berlin or London. And for over 1,900 years, the Archbishops of Cologne have been buried in Cologne Cathedral. And the legend says: when the graves in Cologne Cathedral are full, the world ends... Fortunately, there is still some little space left under Cologne Cathedral.....

During a visit to colonge in 1471, William Caxton actually had a first hand experience of the technology of printing.

it's also the oldest city of germany, the fourth largest city of germany, and the largest german city that is neither a Bundesland of it's own, nor the capital of a bundesland.

For God's sake, don't drink their local beer there ("Kölsch").
This is not beer, but a beer substitute.
Germans make excellent beer - with the exception of Cologne
