That’s absolutely awesome, plus we have to remember the point of a drone is that it’s a camera for capturing content ! 5:28-5:44 is exactly the perfect transition from low down to a chase shot. It can’t be denied how good this mini 3 is

Not always..... my background to the hobby is self built freestyle fpv kwads.
I fly the dji mini 3 Pro to Simply enjoy the beauty of the area I'm in.
I'm not overly interested in gathering footage just flying... the 1080p back to the screen is great for using the drone mask.

I believe that parallel track is based on compass direction rather than the drone’s position relative to its target when you press start. This is why it didn’t stay parallel when you turned the corner.

    • @driewiel

No it is optical. DJI for some silly reason doesn't add GPS follow-me anymore. For that you have to use Litchi or Dronelink.

Thanx for good and fun videos! I think the speed is limited to 36-37kmh in active track even with sport mode That is so one could use normal mode and obstacle avoidance.

  • @behemedia7222

When you made the left in Spotlight / Parellel mode, you said, "...Will it still stay parallel? No, it did not, it's actually flying in front of me" (mark 6:46), but it actually did stay "parallel". I think our natural tendancy is to think that means in line with, but at a distance from the side of the car. You see, it's not in relation to the car's orientation, it's in relation to the drone's location (ie. N,S,E,W, or geo-coordinates) relative to the car, and it performed flawlessly. Did I say that in a way that makes sense?
Anyway, it also seems there's a need to position the drone slightly ahead of the footage that you actually want to allow for compensation of the drone once the vehicle starts moving. Great video, it was exactly what I was in search of. Thanks for always pushing the limits.

    • @driewiel
      @driewiel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

It doesn't look at coordinates. This is active-track, optical. Not GPS follow-me. DJI doesn't use follow-me anymore. For that you have to purchase Litchi or Dronelink.

Just love the open Danish countryside. I'm now living in the mountains of Tennessee (USA) and have not yet found a suitable area -- clear of trees-- to test active track along the road. Works fine on the lakes and rivers here. So was a super-interesting road test (tak for det).

Henrik, one important fact you do not state in the videois that DJI state that active track is only functional for speeds less than 10m/s (36km/h) , that being said, the fact that the drone could track you up to 60 km/hr is impressive.

Thank you for your always very Interesting clarifying experiments!
Every car has a certain degree of "Happy" overspeed indikation! Normal from at least +5% up to + 10 or even +12%.
It might not always be linear equal in al speeds. It's measured from the wheel rotation speed and depends on the tires rotation circumference which might vary a lot! Legislation states in no possible condition the Speed indication is allowed to show too low! So worst case Tire Plus Tolerance decides that marginal!

Harold a real nightmare from DJI,
I will tell you this dji assistant must have been really bad for the mini 3! I am constantly getting emails, questions, sending date, contact info serial # login data. It will be six daystomorow and I received the email directing me tothe sent upload to fix the drone and they never sent the file. I heard from Harold the beta fix is 03.10 until they have a general update but they never sent me the file. I have no idea what they are doing but there is a real problem here. I can not get any info as to what is going on, and even had direct phone calls from DJI but I was at work and now they are assuming I have fixed the issue. Nothing is accurate, and they assume constantly I am okay. I think there is no fix yet as they are not doing anything to help me and I keep getting the same request for info about login, account, serial number and it never seems to end. I have kept every single email and phone call record and they are in the dozens. I am not too pleased with the jargon from DJI. Ray C

Sorry to be the kill-joy, but I really think you where a bit too
    happy-go-lucky in this one.
Glad it worked out so well, but you picked a only lightly populated area
and only lightly had no idea what your drone was doing up there
and it's that kind of sloppiness & "bending" the rules that causes accidents.
