I’ve got one huge turkey fig and four black mission figs so we’ll see how they do the turkey fig usually does exceptionally well I have literally picked like 30 gallons of that tree before.

Amazing!!!!! Looking very good. Unbelievable how much food y’all produce in a small space 🥰🥰🥰 Could you make a tour on your chicken coop, quail and fish pond?

I enjoyed the update! You have so much growing. I think in that hot climate some shade could be a blessing to help plants through the summer, I watch Travis on the Lazy Dog Farm channel from Southern Georgia, he wouldn’t be putting in more tomato or pepper transplants now! Do you have trouble with your purple hull peas getting stung?

I think the shade might be helpful for some of the crops. The cucumber plants seem really healthy in the shade, and the bush green beans seem to do pretty well. We have to water the garden a lot with the heat now!! Everything is suffering from lack of water. We are in a pretty substantial rain deficit. I didn't know what you meant by the peas getting stung, so I Googled it. We do have some peas with holes in them from time to time. I had no idea about the weevil laying eggs in the peas until I read an article about it! How interesting!! We may not have as much trouble with the weevils as some people do because we live in the city. Thanks!! -Lea

Your garden looks good ,what do you do to keep your cucumbers looking so healthy

Thank you!! Nothing intentionally! They are growing in an area of the garden that gets morning sun and is in the shade during the afternoon, so they miss the really hot afternoon sun. They are also growing right beside the chicken run area, so they are getting some benefit from the chicken manure I would think!! Thanks again!! -Lea

I noticed you don't have impatiens in your pond this year. Did it not work out for you? Ive been doing it since I saw your video a few years ago. Just curious☺️ . Garden looks awesome!

We still like doing it and had intended to do it again this year initially, we just got messed up. We ordered impatiens for our front bed and the filters from our local co-op. There was some confusion and our order got messed up. We ended up getting some impatiens for our front bed that didn't do very well, and when we went back for more, the co-op didn't have any. We considered digging up some of the poor ones from our front bed and trying them in the filters, but then we decided that we were going to be doing a big harvest this summer and cleaning out the pond really well afterward. So with all that said, we decided to just wait until next year for the impatiens. I am so glad to hear that the idea works so well for you!! Thanks!! -Lea
