Captain Dan let me volunteer crew the Ernestina Schooner with him in 1987 from Mackinac Island to Toronto Canada.
My payment to him was an ivory scrimshaw of the Ernestina Schooner on a brass business card holder. Amazing voyage through Lake Huron & Lake Erie on a real genuine wooden historic vessel. Thanks again Captain Moreland, all these years later your still at sea, what an amazing career.
