      @@ayamasakya4196 you spoil someone when you love them abundantly. and she obviously does love molly and doesn’t just spoil her because she reached out for help so she wouldn’t have to spoil her dog anymore. and in the end, she’s not spoiling her dog anymore, she’s eating dog food, eating out of a bowl, and by now the couple can probably watch tv without molly freaking out.

    My dog was exactly like that. He only liked a particular kibble. I had to hand feed it to him because he was so picky he wouldn’t eat. Then my mother started giving him human food: mostly chicken and turkey. It gave him horrible gas. I finally got him to eat dog food and his stomach issues were resolved. Dogs will not starve; they will eat what is in front of them and love it.
    Purposefully jump on chairs then bark because he wanted to get down. Persistence and consistency changes these behaviors. My dog had us trained perfectly to give him what he wanted!

    It can be cheaper and more nutritious to feed a home-prepared species-appropriate balanced diet. I have adopted a 10 year old Pomeranian who had to have most of his teeth removed and is blind in one eye. He needs a soft diet, I prepare most of his food, (not hand fed). He was thin and scraggly. In 3 months he has gained 1 lb. and his coat is luxurious, he has become so healthy and full of energy. It is not a bad thing.

    • @mitzara25
      @mitzara25 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      what do you give him exactly?

    • @madelinecutting319
      @madelinecutting319 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@mitzara25 for convenience I make meatballs, 1/2 cup in size, of ground meat, mostly use chicken or turkey, with some veg (Kale or spinach chopped fine and cooked, / sweet potatoes cooked and mashed) added as well as alfalfa and ground flax, ground eggshells and some supplements. He gets one of these per day split into two meals. I need to add a little extra mashed veg, as he gets constipated at times, or a little natural fibre, a pinch is enough, at time of feeding. I freeze these and have them on hand. These can be given cooked or raw, he likes raw so I do that. I top it off with a little chopped cooked chicken as he really likes it. This is his main diet. If needed, I give a little extra high quality commercial food. I was told he weighed 8 pounds, when I got him home and weighed him, he was just over six pounds, and I could feel every vertebra and rib. His coat was very thin, rough, and coarse, and I was told by a the groomer it would not come back. He is now seven pounds and his coat is full, soft and luxurious. He is gorgeously fluffy and soft.

All brachycephalic breeds should “bred anew” to lessen the extreme features that are actively harming the animals ❤

    Why are so many people so triggered by the dog eating human food? Kibble isn't a dogs natural food source - it's not found in nature lol. Nothing wrong with sharing meals with your dogs as long as its not toxic to them. Your dog is your family (or should be) and ours gets normal food and meat as well as a bit of kibble and loves it. Having said that, I have no idea why it was taking the lady 2 hours a day to prep food for her dog. Steak and salmon cook in mins as do veggies.

      They need organ meats and meaty bones, small dogs can have small bones like wing tips or necks. The bones help to form up stool and give give better digestion. They also need varied proteins if possible instead of just one. They also need a bit more zinc and manganese so a bit of kelp, eggs, fish or a supplement would help if you wanted a perfect balance.

      Even raw red extreme brachycephalics have lot of flatulence because the problem is that their skulls are so deformed they swallow lot of air when they try to eat.

      Our dog eats kibble full time. He likes the current one, we did have to try many different kibbles because he is quite the picky eater, but we found a good senior kibble for him. If we gave him raw food or something similar he would just vacuum it up, but with kibble there's no rush to eat it so he eats calmly and we don't have to wash those activity bowls meant to slow down eating 3 times a day.

      @idiotically-everything 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh, right. We do give him other things than kibble, like oils and wet food, so it isn't the only thing he eats, but his main diet is kibble

    I’m only a few minutes into the video so I don’t know if she went over this but those carrots are definitely the culprit. We used to feed my lab cut up baby carrots in with her homemade food but they made her so gassy so now she only has them once in a while when she has a can of wet dog food with them already in it and her gas is much better we also added some pumpkin in her diet to regulate her gut

    No matter how much we love them, dogs still need to be treated like DOGS. it gives them anxiety and other behavioral issues when their lifestyle goes against their nature. We as people put WAY too many human emotions and needs onto animals that they DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE and it doesn't help them live well adjusted lives. Helping them be actual dogs helps them be happier

    My sister’s dog is like this too, always preferring human food over dog food. Mainly from the fact that my niece and nephew (2 and 1) always throw their vegetables on the ground for her. I am also guilty of this as well 😆
    Fortunately, my sister and BIl mix the human food with dog food, So she eats both.

    • @toaddbitss9717
      @toaddbitss9717 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What kind of sports and/or dog groups have you looked into locally? Belgian Malinois are beautiful smart dogs, but definitely need to have a plan beforehand of how to work them and tire them out, theyre definitely not a ‘walk them a couple times a day around the block’ kind of dog. If you can provide that outlet, then they are definitely a loyal, hardworking friend.

    • @Fizzypopization
      @Fizzypopization ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Elevated dog bowls still would require the dog to point their head all the way down. The hamster bowl is actually angled which is completely different from an elevated dog bowl.
