    I’ve had my 2016 corsa SRi for just over a month. With a second child on the way, I needed something spacious with 5 doors and still cheap for insurance as I’m still in first year of driving. I’m not happy about the £173 per month but the 1.4 88bhp with 5 speed manual is amazingly good value for insurance, tax (£30 a year) and unbelievably good on fuel. Comfort wise, the SRi comes with sport style seats which are surprisingly more comfortable than I thought. Oh and by the way, you forgot to mention the so called ‘hidden floor’ in the boot. Before I got my corsa, I did my research first and watched other reviews on the car on TH-cam, the boots floor is height adjustable. The only downside to these cars is when folding the rear seats, you have no choice but to fold the whole seat as unlike most cars, the back seat does not split into two separate sections.

    I have just bought a 2013 Corsa and the first thing people notice when they climb in is the comfortable seats. It also has a CD player but alas no spare wheel.

    I have a Jan. 2016 Corsa 1.4 Auto. and I am delighted with it. I previously had the same care but a manual, however a hand problem caused me to change. I liked my previous car so much I had the same again but the Automatic version. It is great for around town, but not as economical on petrol as my previous car. It drives well, and great on motorways cruising at 65-70 no problem. With the back seats down it is handy for carrying items around. I recommend this car.

    I have a 65 plate SE automatic with the same seats as you had, they are comfortable for about an hours drive, but any longer than that you either have to put the heated seat on to help your back or take a break at a service station. The gearbox is fine, as you say it's a bit slow to respond but I have found it works better if you use cruise control to accelerate it doesn't rev as loud.

    I have a 2019 Opel Corsa 1.4, with 4 cylinders petrol engine. I am very happy with it, I like it very much, it's extremely quite, drives very smooth. I also have heaten windshield, heaten seats and heaten steering wheel. I highly recommend this car for daily use and offcourse for calm drivers, not for the racers ones. When I rev it over 3000 rpms I like how it roars the engine. Before I had a 2005 Opel Corsa 1.0, 3 cylinders petrol engine, was a slower car offcourse, but was extremely reliable car. In 14 years I changed only a water pump, brake pads and brake discs. Both of them have the iron engine, which makes them that reliable... The new Opel/Vauxhall Corsa will have the Peugeot engine, which will be an aluminium engine, and only 1.0 and 1.2 liter, the 1.4 will not be produced anymore. So, go buy the 1.4 liter engine until it fully dissapears, you won't be dissapointed.

    You should know when to shift the gear (as a driver) and also, this car has a feature where it prompts u on when to switch gear. Its on the dash board, there is a little number which pops up with an arrow indicating 'shift into this gear". Generally, very comfortable drive. Heated seats and steering are amazing with this car but i feel the heated seats can get hot real quick. Never had any issues with the car. Low on insurance and road tax. Isn't the fastest but isn't a sports car. But think its a great first car or for a small family.

      Have you got the automatic version though, as it's different to the manual version in when it tells you to sift. Overall it's just easier to leave it in auto.

    I've got Opel Corsa from 2017 and I really enjoy this little car except some of the issues with the wierd engine noises (B 1.4 XEJ, 75HP) and that they did something wrong in the factory and the front windshield was Creaking but the service fixed it up :)

    Hello i am turning 17 and going to be doing my lessons do you think the insurance will be okay if i buy this model

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The elite is actually quite comparable with other models of Corsa, this particular car is insurance group 8 which is pretty good. There are better/cheaper insurance models such as the 1.2 SRi and the lower 75bhp 1.4 as is the design model; and even the SRi VX-line model, AND the SE. If you wanted a base model like the 1.2 Sting, or the 1.2 Life, they are only insurance group 2. I think insurance is pretty reasonable on these.

  • @porkiechops7689

    It's actually a really nice car but I don't understand why they under power the engines so much! These engines are capable of a lot more HP/torque than 88hp and 130nm that's ridiculous haha.

    Can somebody explain why he is doing a car review in a grave yard!?!?.... Highly disrespectful...

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In a carpark next to a graveyard...how is that disrespectful? I am basically talking about a car in a carpark that is next to a graveyard....not as if I am driving over graves, nor walking on them, not even on the path that goes round the graveyard.
