I would encourage you to check out places and ask questions. Also talk with other local dealers. Sometimes contact info can be found in their booths. I know the rules are different in each state, but in Michigan the mall pays the taxes. Setting up my business in Michigan was quite easy, too. I hired a lawyer to do it right. The more you know I think it will help you to guide your decisions better. Best of luck!
Girl…you have been on it from day one. That’s what it sounds like anyway. Amazing. I’ve seen you reply to comments quickly. How you find the time is impressive.
Thanks for the tips, they are so helpful I have been in business for over 2 years. I had a store front which I closed and moved to my she shed, now I’m considering a booth which would give me two locations. I live all of it, I’m so excited!🤗
Thank you for the great tips. You seem so young but you are so knowledgeable. I'm in my late 60's and I wonder if I'm too old to try to open a small booth.
So much helpful and informative video that i didn't know about. So looking forward to more of your helpful videos . Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
So I think you were creating the wood artwork and furniture re-dos prior to opening a booth. Were you selling on-line? How did you start? And not just your booth. For. Real.
I started by painting items for my own home to make things nice. When I had too much I hosted a "barn sale" in my mom's garage annually to see if people liked what I did. The sales were a success so I started a booth.
I really need help creating a name. I specialize in Metalware. The name I was sure I wanted was taken when I attempted to create social media and etsy shop. 😭
Names can be so hard. A good idea is using your own name in your business. That way if your business changes your name won’t have to. Also ask family and friends for ideas. I hope you figure out the name that suits you best soon.
Also, you must love being a teacher. Enough to do a 2nd full time job as a booth owner. Clearly you won’t go into detail but COULD your ‘second’ job earn you enough money to stop teaching? I would gladly give up my primary job to do this one full time.
I am thinking about a vintage booth...the llc and taxes scare me, theft and breakage scare me. You seem so confident. I love that

If you want to start a booth try it. Why have regrets later. And I am almost 50…😁
Where I have a booth, most of the vendors are in late 60s on up. 1 of the highest producers is 88 and beautiful and drives a pick up. Do it.
Thank you for all the great information!
You are welcome!
Thanks for the info. Looks like there’s a lot more to consider than just having a great glue gun and some good ideas before opening a booth 😅
So true.
