Almost pulled the trigger on one of these, 1988 off lease for only $18k ATT but the warped front rotors and 10 MPG scared me off so I kept my 83 533i. It sounded exactly the same as here.
That is how it's supposed to be. Don't forget the engine in this particular car, the M5 us-spec S38, is an engine built for racing. It is a slightly de-tuned version of the M1's M88 engine, but still the same core and pure motorsport heart in it. It really is a beast!

Sehr schönes Auto, hatte einen leider durch den Kat kastrierten M 535i, trotzdem die BMW's aus dieser Zeit sind spitze.
The BMW community really misses Eric. Just not the same, no content like this since he left us.
