What happens when the happy folk of Team Fortress 2 get their hands on a super advanced heavy equipment? Lots of fun and murder, that's what.
Anyway, couple of useless facts you are probably not interested in. [WORDS WORDS WORDS]
Made in Source Film Maker. The beginning might seem kinda lame/slow but it kinda picks up around 3rd minute and gets really better later on. The whole thing is 10 minutes long so its ok to do some skipping forward. Yes there is a fuckton of continuity issues, and some visual problems caused by SFM not cooperating/me being lazy, but my advice for you is just not to think to deep into it and turn your brain off. And yeah, the whole thing was inspired by the greatest movie of all time provided by the genius of Micheal Bay himself - Transformers Revenge of The Fallen. Such a wonderful motion picture event that was - I just had to make some tribute.
The animation might seem kinda wonky but hey, apart of this, my previous stupid shitty SFM movie and few miserable failed attempts I had zero experience with animating... So with that in mind it could be a lot worse... I think... maybe... maybe not... And I don't own any motion capture like device, so doing any mocap is out of the question.
I don't know if it really needs to be pointed out, but I haven't used any models/characters/animations that aren't already in a "bare-bones" install of SFM. I made (or rather modified existing ones) a few (like 3) lame particle effects with the Particle Editor tool that comes with SFM.
The music I used are cut-out clips from Transformers movie soundtrack (Arrival to earth, The Shard), Escape by Craig Armstrong and Robot Rock by Daft Punk.
All in all this crappy video took me around 300+ hours of work. Yeah. It might be a wasted time but I had fun making it. Sometimes.

Transformers ROTF is also abbreviated to TF2. When I first heard of tf2, I thought it was a human parody of Transformers. Never did I think I was partially correct.

Engineer's robot actually scared me, and I got a feeling of hopelessness for the red team, especially when scout died. This made the Heavy's entrance even more epic. That music fits that scene perfectly.
The scariest part is the sound effects are Devastators from Revenge of the Fallen.

Somebody, make a game based on this. Each class would have a buff and a debuff depending on the class in controll, like scout would have faster, but weaker robots (HP wise). You would be able to create a fully customizable robot, and to get more pieces, you would have to open chests or (rarely) by defeating enemies. What do you think?

That'll took ages building the mechs for each class, and their special abilites.
And TF2 aren't that kind of advanced. You just can customize your mech by simple Command Box like X10 Mvm

I love the detail you put into this. Even at 2:15 when the engineer is twiddling his thumbs because he's moving very slowly. Good job on all of this, you have some talent for sure.

4 years old and this still makes makes me laugh, it's still one of the good SFM animations out there.
I probably rewatched the heavy jump scene 20 times now. This is beyond amazing.

dude when the scout goes into his robot, he has a lvl 2 sentry gun as a head rest. he couldve used those to help fights off the engie
where the sentry suits its own model, or all the sentries just really close to give the look of a robot

Im glad I watched to the end. The beginning was a bit slow with long cuts, but the ending was awesome! The Heavy Slam looked sweet!!

Well, it really depends on how you look at it. Pyro can be seen as very evil or very nice. I don't think that averaging the two works out very well. However, the official characters and story of Team Fortress 2 don't really matter when it comes to videos.
Nice video. The timing for building up the armor for that engineer was like a 2-3 secs slow. You that formation of the wheel part? that one. I still enjoyed the rest of the video so it's still good. Keep it up man and post more videos like this
