    This guy is good. He didn't do it like other Wing Chun guys; he's so direct with each move. It's closer to actual sparring. Good one.

    Nice video! Sifu Sergio has spent time and effort in seeking out and visiting various branches of wing Chun across the world and bringing these into the public eye.I don't really care how he got his Grandmaster title,main thing is that he is doing great work. In promoting and teaching wing Chun.Best of luck to him!

    All teachers I had after Iadarola were bringing me down from the level I had attained under him. I left his organization when he temporarily got involved in Weng Chun. Im happy to see he is back to his origins. Thank you Sifu.

      Sifu, I realized I was saying something presumptuous but I meant only to explain why I quit. I got confused by the alteration of Siu Nim Tau after your encounter with mr Hoffman. But quitting was surely a mistake. I went to train with Cesario but, well. Lets not comment on that. No comparison to your teachings whatsoever.

    I don't know if this is true or not but this is what I was told about the terms: in some Western traditions, like schools, the teacher or head of the classroom is addressed as master, the principal is the Head Master, and just like your father's father is your "Grand" father and your son's son is your grandson, the 'Head teacher' of Your "Head-teacher" is the "Grand-teacher" aka Grand Master, so it's a title of position, not necessarily a title of skill or ability.

    @vtfist Leung Ting might be Sifu Sergios teacher but he is one of the very few that is in close contact witn different Wing Chun organisations. He is, believe me or not, idc, one of the most educated Sifus in the world who has truely understood all basics and motions of the IP Man system. I understand that their are alot of branches in the great Wing Chun tree of origin and that are alot of ppl that believe that their Sifu is the best bla bla bla! Stop worshiping. Sifu Tassos Sifu Sergio would..

    This 6th two man Set is Leung Ting Wing Tsun and NOT Ip Man Wing Chun. That's different, because Lying Ting changed it nearly 40 years and invented these sorts of Drills (so called "Chi Sao-Sections), which don't exist in Ip Man Wing Chun. So someone should not mix it together and should tell, where that Non-sense comes from...

  • @gambleyourhealth
    @gambleyourhealth 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @PandaWingTsun Actually, Sifu does mean Master. In martial arts terminology, Specifically "Master-Father" which is used to indicate a student teacher relationship in Chinese martial arts.
    People are able to speak ill of any self proclaimed "Grandmaster".
    "Oh ya, because he has a life. Maybe ya'll should get one as well"
    Says the man commenting on the VERY same video, Hypocrite.
    Interested (and skilled) practitioners come here to watch other examples of their art too.

    If i'm not mistaking Sergio teaches his own system called Chi Sim Wing Tjun. Everyone saying that Sergio is not actually a grand master clearly doesn't know what he/she is talking about. He has his own system thus he is the grandmaster of that particular system no?
    The style he teaches retains the core of Chi Sim Wing TJun (his own system), Sap Yat Kuen (Ving Tsun Kuen), Saam Bai Faat, Chong Kuen, as well as Siu Lam Tao, Chum Kiu and Biu Jee the Look Dim Boon Gwun and Baht Jam Dao.

  • @sloppymantis
    @sloppymantis 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @beejdee Who knows how people define ranking. For me there are people that I learn from and people who learn from me, but often it is both. They have masters who are not called masters so why not have some called masters who are not masters. Black belt sounds like a lovely rank,for example, but have you asked your average black belt of a given school system why he moves in a certain way or test them under pressure?Certainly I do not mean all or to offend anyone, just saying ranks are just words

  • @PandaWingTsun
    @PandaWingTsun 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Engels121 Sifu doesn't mean master at all. You can be a sifu one of two ways. Either you are very accomplished at something or you are a martial art teacher. Sifu in the Kung fu sense of the word usually means that you are an instructor, but not always. Sometimes it could mean that you are an accomplished practitioner.

      I can confirm that he left the EWTO approximately a day after receiving his 4TG Urkunde, let alone learning and completing the entire system from GGM Kernspecht. He claims to have had many many private lessons with Leung Ting which has been denied from Leung Ting himself. However, he’s made a business and probably posts the most on the net about his travels and research.

    no it looks pretty wing chun to me.... see how they move their arms... that is the reason the wooden dummy was created ..to work them as if they were arms... and that looks strikingly l;ike wing chun...

    @gambleyourhealth I've had my friends and tung-moon (fluent in chinese) tell me point blank that Sifu and Si-Fu do/does not mean master. Maybe in Mandarin "Shifu" means master. I could however be wrong since I'm not fluent in Cantonese, but apparently you are. Secondly, I didn't come here to bash on someone for giving us insight, so you can shove that hypocrite stuff right in your pipe to smoke it. And yes I'm sure your interested and skilled and so am I.

  • @Engels121

    Differentiate and define master & GM. Sifu (master) means literally father/teacher. Once your own students are advance (sifu) enough to teach other students u become GM, sounds legit? Ranks are overrated imo, more important are inner values and capability of teaching.

  • @vtfist

    @oltifromhungary Sorry my hungarian friend but leung ting and his system suck.
    How do i know because i used to learn Ting system from a direct student of Ting for years. I also taught system for several years before finding a more realistic way of using wing chun. What u have is a set of pointless drills and even worse dead applications. Looks bit like wing chun but just the shell filled out with applications & drills largely imported from other martial arts, Mayb LT was only junior student.

    I don't understand how people can speak so ill of someone who evidently has much skill and devoted his life to Wing Tsun. Ya'll should take a step back and stop being keyboard warriors and maybe go out there and train. You don't see Sifu Sergio on here blasting other peoples video's... Why? Because he is training, or spending time with his family or teaching... Why again you might ask? Oh ya, because he has a life. Maybe ya'll should get one as well.

    Come on, SifuSergio, you are wrong. I am very appreciate what you have come to China to visit our traditional Wing Chun from different sifu, you have found some good one but you do not learned some correct way from them because they have not teach you. With response to your this vedio clip, when you puting 2 hands on one opponent's hand (二同手), you should always put your (the upper hand)elbow resting on your opponents hand (middle part) as a pivot point, with the elbow direct the body weight on the opponents hand so that he is hardly to waving or moving but not all your body weight to pressing down, just with your upper hand upper part of muscle to slac to strength the force upon the oppenents hand to feel its motion, the lower hand is holding his wrist not firmly but loosen and controllable., this is called 二同手, 2 hand on one opponents hand, Wing Chun has many 二同手 on the intermediate transition. I hope I can talk to you on Web cam
