Too much focus on how you dress. Seems misguided to me. skills for the job is what should matter. As an employer I would just need someone who can do the job. I don't care if they turn up in a binbag as long as they have the abilities.

Would you start a conversation to someone wearing jeans and slippers? We all know in getting a job is “First impression matters.”
Question to you hope if you don't mind. How would you know if someone have the abilities you are looking for but not yet mingle with them?

@@jomarimorishita8513 I would start a conversation with them. Had a guy who had holes in his jeans and an oversized shirt. He started working and he was one of the hardest workers I've seen in a long time. He clearly needed that job. He worked his way up and now his an assistant chef.
I get that first impressions matter but I think too much is put on clothes when the focus should also (and maybe more so) be on skills.
