Hey Dally. That fancy pipe you found there is actually called a Frac hose. I work at a frac sand mine, and we use those to pump water out of the open pit to keep it from flooding into a lake. They are made of metal so driving over them with trucks and such do not damage the hose. It is just a standard water transfer hose. It is possible that they used to to dredge out a deeper channel in that area at one point, it fell into the water, and the workers did not want to go get it. If you look at the connectors on the ends, they are actually designed to have that hose mated to another, and then another, and then another, for as long as you need them! Hope that helped you out mate. Love your videos.
I work doing underground infrastructure an we use that particular suction pipe, flexible hose with Bauer fittings on each end. Yes it’s very heavy an hard to maneuver . It is a rather expensive hose. $600 to $1000 bucks . More than likely the sanitation department lost that from a pump station or a lift station. Anyway yes could be used to dredge gold! Good that you got it out of the river!!!!! Love you guys!! Melissa Hall
The heavy weight is likely due to sand and other sediment from the river. But regardless, the weight of underwater equipment is usually buoyancy regulated for its intended purpose, so it's actually not too heavy at all. However I doubt this exact pipe has ever been used for extracting gold.

That pipe is a common pipe used by most tanker trucks they tend to be purchased in sets of 5 and they clip together forming a water tight seal. So the tanker will pump liquid or suck liquid through them. Someone was probably tipping water into the river or sucking it out and the pipe came lose and fell in.
Its a tanker truck attachment used to transfer. My husband has used these to transfer hog manure from tanker trucks to spreaders. They also use these for just about anything from juice to you name it.
What you found is a section of kanaflex hose with Bauer type fittings. Used for a wide variety of things from water pumps, sewage pumps or vac trucks. Where I work we have diesel driven pump s we rent out and a lot of times we send the kanaflex hose with it because it’s easier to handle than tanker truck hose.
It's a pump hose for sure. They can be hooked up on the shackle end to a pump on tanker truck or a boat to move any sort of liquids. You could suck up sewage, water for fighting fires, draining portions of the river in order to construct the dam, suck up sediment and sand and pump it somewhere else to dredge deep parts of the river to make sand bars. I'm sure its full of sand still from being sedimented into the river bottom too making it wayyy heavier.
It’s a suction hose for a trash pump. They are super heavy. We use ours to pump water from a stream around our work area as to not make a mess of the water. Good luck getting it out!
I've actually used the machine that uses that hose you pulled out. It belongs to a vac truck. They use it to suck out debris from storm drains, sewers, septic tanks etc. But great that it's not still in the water.
My god boys! What you have there is kanaflex hose with bauer fittings. This hose is used for dewatering, agriculture, and transfer purposes. It is also used for sewage bypass ALOT. LIKE.... ALOT. Go get your shots boys...
We need more ppl like these ppl to help clean our rivers, oceans, lakes, ect. Wait, we can be those ppl! Help keep the environment clean guys! It helps alot!
You, Tristan, and Brondon should all dive into the river and have a competition to see who gets the best finds. But it’d only be a 15 minute dive or so. The winner gets everyone’s finds.
its called a hermophosis pipe, it does both of those, it drains the sewege and there should or use to be bumps that coonnected to a wire to look for lost treasure such as, sapphire, gold, diamonds etc
It’s for pumping sewage. My Grandfather is a plumber and I’ve worked for him, and that’s the hose they plug up to sewage trucks so it can pump out sewage from people’s septic tanks. Sorry disappoint you but in all honesty I think they use a similar version of the sewage hoses for finding gold, but I’m not sure on that.
It's been at the bottom for a while as he stated so no telling if he could fix it up and sell it. I'm not a plumber myself I was just helping my Grandfather so I only have basic knowledge of what it is and can be used for, but I have no doubt it could be used for other pumps if it was still in good condition. So he will have to find someone to look at it with more knowledge about them.
That’s a sewage pipe that goes on a bypass pump when a sewage lift station goes down. I know I work for a sewage plant on the east cost. I had to attach them to bypass pumps after hurricane Matthew and Irma.
It’s a intake hose for a water truck. People can pump water from the river into the truck. It more then likely got dropped in accidentally when they disconnected.
If you want I can take you prospecting...I have been gold dredging and prospecting a bit, if I can see more pictures I can figure it out, also see if there is any gold in the river or any other nearby rivers because if not then I doubt it
Gold Pumps are usually light and flexible so that they can be moved around easily, the one you found was obviously made to stand still and not move so... Unfortunately, it's most likely some kind of sewage or water pump. I see alot of these in the UK and most of them are used to transport clean water.
Its a suction hose for a water pump. Probably used by the guys at the hydro plant to move water with a portable pump and dropped it in the river accidentally. Use them allbthe time at work. And yess they are heavy and awkward.
We have those at work...they were probably dredging sand and sediment that builds up from the river....thats a suction hose from a dredge pump definitely
That my friends is a: "Hard Sleeve" suction hose, used in many industries... Fire Fighting, we use them to draft water out of ponds, creeks, etc.... just for an example. Great find though guys!
So it looks like a 6inch hardflex pipe with camlock ends. It's used for a lot of things like dredging or sucking up silt. I used it for work, gladly am using smaller pipe and lighter material now.
Looks like a hard suction line you can usually find these at the top of the fire engine over top of the rear compartments. They are Used for drafting water out of water sources such as lakes ponds rivers when there is not a traditional fire hydrant to use
Congratulations boys what you have found is a pipe from a concrete pump probably left from when the built the harbour wall, what happens is if it isn't cleaned out of all the concrete at the end of a shift it sets by the hex day and that section of pipe gets dumped before the foreman sees it and goes apeshit lol, I've seen it happen and done it on several occasions lol GL&HH Simon
I know what it is, it is a hose to suck up water for a sky crane helicopter to fight forest fires, that’s why it’s red, and the latch Hooks onto the chopper
I'm a gold miner . What you have is a 6" or 8" suction hose with cam lock connecters on each side . It could have been used for a number of things but gold probably isn't one of them we don't use those type of connecters on a gold dredge suction hose .
It's a transfer pump, used them before, river barge more than likely where it was found, these weird ends are connection ends to connect to other pipes, closer to gold sucker than sewer
That could be used for a number of things. I work in erosion control and we use those to connect to water pumps to pump water out of rivers and lakes into our water trucks.
If you make another video of you getting it out of the water, it would be cool to see the city people tell you what it is and why it might have been there. That is of course if they know what it is or confirm its a sewage pipe
I really enjoy your videos with Tristan. You guys have such great chemistry. I mean all your friends are such great friends, but yeah. Always good to see you guys having a great time.
Gas tanker hose. It’s an older one though. Probably from the 70’s or early 80’s. Now there a little shorter and not made from such heavy metal. But that’s definitely an older gas hose off a gas tanker
Brad CH. I haul fuel for a living and thats not a fuel hose. Fuel hoses have aluminum fittings and brass clamps. These materials dont create sparks which could set off an explosion ,blowing up the fuel tank and\or truck.
That pipe os used for dredging the bottom of a lake or river to keep from getting too much growth at the bottom.... i see them all the time on boats and barges...love the show great job and goodluck
They should really check out the dam near Albany and Leesburg. People have lost phones plenty of fishing gear including poles and when the water is down it beautiful. Its only like an hour and half, maybe 2 from Columbus.
All it is is a section of pump hose. The female end with the clamps hooks up to a pump or a male end of another section of hose. There's no telling what's been put through it.
Hey this is Brody I’m a big fan.....just one favor go to the smith lake in Alabama at the lines club I heard there is a bunch a stuff down there that is where I live thanks
Its for the fire men when the run out of water the go the the nearest water supply and sometimes thats a river so the suck out the river water they most of dropped it in
Dude...im so hooked on your videos, its 2:41 am. I have the urge to go buy equipment and do the same here in the lakes near Phoenix Arizona. Good luck and hopefully you get to travel to my state and look for treasure in the Grand Canyon's Colorado river.
It probably was on a fire truck. The firetruck needed river water to douse a fire or act as refill point for other trucks. Another possibility is that the fire truck was having a training session. Alas when they took apart the hose from the truck that section fell back into the water. Oh and no they wont want it back. It is trash now.
I have worked with bulk tanker trucks for 3 years, and that looks like a 4 inch hose used for offloading liquids from tanker trucks. Like gasoline at the gas stations for example. I have no idea why that in the river lol. weird lol.
Pretty sure that’s a downspout (it takes the water from the gutters on your roof- sometimes they’re on the side of the house/building, but I think mainly those are the ones they run underground to get the storm water further away from the house)... did you ever go back and get it?
Drop a thumbs up if you guys enjoyed the video and want to see more GIANT objects extracted from the river! Thanks for support as always guys! :)

Melissa Hall hey y'all see little Jimmie 🙋♂️
It's a 6" suction hose. Used on a large water pumps. The clamps on the end are for joining multiple lengths together and attaching a sieve on one end.
yeah your right
🐄
These guys are so cute honestly, i mean its impossible to not smile when they laugh and goof around so much, so cute
Tristan seems like the type of guy that doesn't even know how to be mad.
your right...i love allso his attitude..
Its a corrugated pipe, for pumping water with negative pressure. It has many uses, "gold sucking" is one for them. (Although its quite a rare usage)
Nuga Lomur, would it not be wayyy to heavy for gold?
It's because it's full of dirt and rock and water
The heavy weight is likely due to sand and other sediment from the river. But regardless, the weight of underwater equipment is usually buoyancy regulated for its intended purpose, so it's actually not too heavy at all. However I doubt this exact pipe has ever been used for extracting gold.

It’s a heavy duty water suction/discharge hose with a Type B Bauer fitting on each end nothing special I make them everyday
Thats awsome are u serious
oh lol u got your self a fun thing to do LOLA
This is Lil Pump's big brother, Big Pump please return it back to the rap game.

I didnt know they added legendary pumps in the new update
I thought the same when I saw the title
They actully did add one lol
Yea
It's a hose off a Hydro Excavator truck. I use them all the time.
Didn’t ask
well now you ruined the video
@@bagofmumps4556 he did
@@bagofmumps4556 jake litterally asked what it really is tho

Master Don cool
Pretty sure that's the hose a fire engine uses to draw water from lakes, ponds, rivers and creeks probably explains why it's in the river too
Yeah
Much more enjoyable without the music during the underwater parts. Thanks!

Ita a 6" attachment for a water pump.
Oh and it would be alot lighter if you got all the water out. That latch will latch to another hose or the pump.
That’s a sewage pipe that goes on a bypass pump when a sewage lift station goes down. I know I work for a sewage plant on the east cost. I had to attach them to bypass pumps after hurricane Matthew and Irma.

Chris Wilson I was going to say the same thing. I work for a Construction company and we use those as a suction hose on our 4” water trash pump.
We have those at work...they were probably dredging sand and sediment that builds up from the river....thats a suction hose from a dredge pump definitely
Good on you guys, helping this planet one step at a time
Fuel fill house off a fuel truck., and that ones for unleaded
Part of a fuel pump was my first tought too, as I saw it.
It's a high volume water suction hose... We use them all the time in the oilfield....
That my friends is a:
"Hard Sleeve" suction hose, used in many industries... Fire Fighting, we use them to draft water out of ponds, creeks, etc.... just for an example.
Great find though guys!
John McCarthy you're correct
Can you do a video that includes how fast the water rises and watch it go up!
Flex hose with a Bauer clamp ... used to move fluids ... water or sewage ... very expensive good find
it is probably connected to a barge pump, used for dredging the water and muck.
I work on fracs working on pumps and tanks pushing water into the frac and it looks super similar to a lot of those hoses and pipes we use
It's for gas you want to end of to the truck and then you hook the other up and up to the gas tank to big giant tank it's underneath ground
So it looks like a 6inch hardflex pipe with camlock ends. It's used for a lot of things like dredging or sucking up silt. I used it for work, gladly am using smaller pipe and lighter material now.
That's it exactly Jes. I used hoses like that when i worked on a pipe crew.

It is for gas to pump from a tanker truck into the big gas tanks under the gas station
“I will give MORAL SUPPORT!”
😂😂😂😂😂 I say this all the time at school
Looks like the hose for septic tank clean out . For RV’s at a dumping station .
It’s an 8 inch flexible pipe for pumping fresh water. It has the cam lock style fittings too.
92dmartinez no body cares
Can you make a video showing the water rising?
its a souwage pipe that the septic trucks use
Looks like a extension to a water pump the part that goes in to the water and a flood took it off
It's a transfer pump, used them before, river barge more than likely where it was found, these weird ends are connection ends to connect to other pipes, closer to gold sucker than sewer
Why are all the comments very recent. I guess quarantine got us interested in weird stuff.
Batikha monster Gaming that’s a fact this was posted 2 years ago 😂😂
true
That could be used for a number of things. I work in erosion control and we use those to connect to water pumps to pump water out of rivers and lakes into our water trucks.
It’s a Bauer kanaflex hose normally used in refinery’s. I deal with them on a daily basis
Pipe for back of tanker trucks what they use to pump load into silos , we use them for sand .
If you make another video of you getting it out of the water, it would be cool to see the city people tell you what it is and why it might have been there. That is of course if they know what it is or confirm its a sewage pipe
That's a Hydrant supply hose for fire trucks and water trucks or same as gold rush the lines they have moving water across land
It a gold pipe and the brown water was gold and dirt in it you dropped all of the gold
I really enjoy your videos with Tristan. You guys have such great chemistry. I mean all your friends are such great friends, but yeah. Always good to see you guys having a great time.
Anyone know what camera he has on head?? Is it a go pro with a lighted case?? it looks pretty sweet!
It looks like the hose that clamps on the side of the truck that sucks out PortaPotties.
William Prentice that's what I was thinking too.
It is a little large for a porta john truck, but just the right size for a septic tank pump truck.
It's a exhaust for a prius
A large petrified snake. A museum would love it. ;-0
Jimmy D. Lol
Gas tanker hose. It’s an older one though. Probably from the 70’s or early 80’s. Now there a little shorter and not made from such heavy metal. But that’s definitely an older gas hose off a gas tanker
Wish I could tell you it was something more interesting lol
I have never seen a fuel hose over 4", this is not a fuel hose, but rather the hose from a suction truck.
Brad CH. I haul fuel for a living and thats not a fuel hose. Fuel hoses have aluminum fittings and brass clamps. These materials dont create sparks which could set off an explosion ,blowing up the fuel tank and\or truck.
that pipe may have been used to suck water up for the fire brigade , but left there as it got stuck in the rocks
That's it! Damn this is a good theory.
When he realizes that he has a family friendly channel 10:27😂😂😂
Aryan Vallabh yeah haha I caught it too he couldn't just said shit hole lmao
That pipe os used for dredging the bottom of a lake or river to keep from getting too much growth at the bottom.... i see them all the time on boats and barges...love the show great job and goodluck
I think it was connected to a pump, probably from construction work in the channel.
its a hose for pumping water the end was a clamp where another section goes in it i have used them before
They probably dropped it in when they were vacuuming the sand out to get to a solid base to build the artificial Rapid rocks
Bauer-Style Coupling guys commonly used to attach to a pump or septic pump truck. Defiantly wash your hands ;)
How are you going to put that huge piece of treasure under you bed
lol
i like his attitude even though he knows he isnt going to find gold
They should really check out the dam near Albany and Leesburg. People have lost phones plenty of fishing gear including poles and when the water is down it beautiful. Its only like an hour and half, maybe 2 from Columbus.
da
All it is is a section of pump hose. The female end with the clamps hooks up to a pump or a male end of another section of hose. There's no telling what's been put through it.
It's a tampon that's been in the water for to long..
I used to work for septic company That looks like the kind a line we used to use to drain the trucks
y’all need a tv show. that would be awesome!
It's a hose off a vacuum truck. We use it to suck out septic tanks. Super heavy.
Nice

Lol plz subscribe
It's a hard suction hose for a vacuum truck, combo vac and steam, or a day lighting hydro digging truck
That's how they put the fish in the river or ponds
It probably was on a fire truck. The firetruck needed river water to douse a fire or act as refill point for other trucks. Another possibility is that the fire truck was having a training session. Alas when they took apart the hose from the truck that section fell back into the water.

This should honestly be Tristan’s video. Dude did all the work
I have worked with bulk tanker trucks for 3 years, and that looks like a 4 inch hose used for offloading liquids from tanker trucks. Like gasoline at the gas stations for example. I have no idea why that in the river lol. weird lol.
Josh Henderson
It's a K-Flex suction hose for either a 6 inch or an 8 inch water pump with a Bauer connection. Typically they come in 20 foot segments when new.
