Believe it or not- just the other day I was filling gas at a Sheetz in Harrisonburg Virginia and this song was playing over the stores speakers. I flashed back to the Boathouse Nightclub in Austin Texas 1987, started tapping my feet and grooving. This is November 2023!!! I can still find the groove 36 years later.
It's great but sometimes a little sobering that the music from our youth is now in grocery stores, gas stations, and dentist offices!

I never get tired of hearing New Order. They are as fresh and relevant and tuneful as when I first heard them at clubs in NYC and LA in '87. Danced my ass off then and still do. Just the best.

How come NEW ORDER is not in the hall of fame is Incredible, most of their music is basically art.
Because in the past they were out the establishment, the music systems, that's why eventhough sold millions of albums didn't received gold discs from their achievements. Except one
I was just on the phone with the friend I was visiting while on holiday in 1987 when I first heard this in a Townsville nightclub! The DJ had only received his copy of the 12 inch that afternoon. The universe works in very mysterious ways.

The original song that helped me discover New Order. The original music video was so odd, and so creatively brilliant! I was mesmerized! Then like am avalanche, the entirety of Substance blew me away. Will always love New Order and their ability to put hard hitting synth lines with deafening guitar riffs and wicked drum beats!

Hopefully they'll fix the errors on the original True Faith TH-cam video when the Substance remaster comes out. The slaps not being in time is sacrilege
The OG Substance recording is a ducking mess tbh, '94 actually sounds legit and not like a worn out tape transfer. (The single version doesn't have the dropouts funnily enough.) Not sure which one they used for the video
