To answer your question Vlad; Lincoln didn't change his position when he became president. In his inauguration speech March 4th 1861 he quoted himself in the 1858 speech stating that he was willing to free some of the slaves, none of the slaves or all the slaves as long as he can keep the Union. The US has been compromising on slavery since Washington took office in 1789 and Lincoln wasn't going to change that. Ironically, it's the aftermath of the Mexican-American War after the US annexed half of Mexico that started the crisis. The south wanted to expand slavery into the new stolen territories which would've tilted the balance of power to the south and the north didn't, for political reasons of course.
That's the go to excuse for Caucasians, it was so long ago. He or she was young. They tried to use the same excuse for Bidens racist remarks. They don't make this excuse. When someone has made a negative comment about the Star people in the past.
Abraham Lincoln said those quotes because he needed votes from racist southerners. Also, if he was just about keeping the country together for economic reasons, he would have let the south keep slaves. It was more profitable using slave labour than paid workers.
@@kim0755 I’m not talking about the general election. He said his racist comment in a senatorial debate to win over southern senators. Edit: gotta fix a mistake. Lincoln wasn’t trying to win over southern senators, but was vying for the Illinois senate seat against Stephen Douglas. Douglas was also a major racist and didn’t care if blacks were enslaved. Lincoln was against slavery, but knew most of the voters were racist, even in Illinois, so to win them over he said that even though they shouldn’t be enslaved, they were still not equal to whites.
@TDashem what that means is some people have been brainwashed to think that anything bad that happens to them is racism. Didn't get that job? Must be racism. Girl wouldn't go out with you? Racism. Quick history lesson: After LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act, the last remaining conservatives were so outraged that they switched party’s. Democrats use to be conservatives and republicans use to be liberals. This is basic American history that most know and is easily accessible
Not true. Only about 20 percent of democrats became Republicans after the civil rights act passed. And the south didn't become majority republican until the 90s, 30 years later. That's why Jimmy Carter campaigned heavily in Alabama where the KKK was headquartered
"this guy named Douglas" - Vlad. smh. For the record, Stephen Douglas stayed on Lincoln's ass. about damn near everything. Douglas was a white supremist, unapologetically too. He absolutely did not believe in the emancipation of slaves or any other person of color. Lincoln, regardless of the initial reasoning, did. FREDERICK Douglass (abolitionist/orator), to avoid confusion, got close to Lincoln over the years, and Lincoln's entire thought process towards ppl of color and past slavery softened heavily. and Douglass STILL didnt endorse Lincoln lol. Because while Lincoln supported the freedoms of slaves and ppl of color, he dragged TF out of his big tall legs and feet on issues of equality, notably the right to vote, especially since ppl of color were fighting in the Civil War (on both sides). And then they assassinated him. Assassination is never good, but they got Lincoln trying to enjoy some downtime. I thought that was particularly asshole-ish. Anyhow, the debates between Lincoln and Douglas are legendary to this day. Yes, i paid attention in US History classes. Yes, i did my own research on topics too, for various reasons. He came across as a massive dunce cap in the portion of the interview where he jokes about the Indian Mafia with the lame accent jokes and saying Kabul is in India.
No Vlad, he said his spidey Nigghy senses not just spidey senses.
Definitely a worthless conversation as soon as Vlad said the word But !!!!! There's no pass on saying or being racist
Glad Lincoln did get clipped homie
Facts
Lincoln did try and send blacks to either Brazil or Ecuador I can't remember.
They still ended up murdering him vlad 😂
Same shit i said and it was for that very reason too!
Republican racists. Democrat Racist. I lived in Blue and Red states, seen racism all over.
A rare time in politics where you I agree with Aries
Can we please stop calling ourselves the N word?
vlad is unbelievably dense
Lincoln’s views didn’t shift and Aries is Right
Aries hit it on the head 🎯
Actually he is wrong.
1:07 I’m seriously not trolling. Where is that pretty racist??? I mean it was over 160 years ago and still those things hold firm. White people and black people are biologically different. He did not lie.
he gonna ask everybody this question, and i can’t wait to hear who’s smart and who’s and idiot. Aries knows.
The Emancipation Proclamation was issued to prevent England from joining the war on the side of the Confederacy. England was later sued in international court by the US govt for their limited involvement in the war. Lincoln was a pragmatist; black people were just a means to an end. In other words @ariesspears is more right.
England had abolished slavery in the British empire at that point they would never join a slave holding country in war
@@MozzieMutant They sure did. The fight was over cotton. The world needed it.
“The United States prevented other powers from recognizing the Confederacy, which counted heavily on Britain and France to enter the war on its side to maintain their supply of cotton and to weaken a growing opponent.”
It's a sad state of affairs that people can't admit that Lincoln's actions directly freed the slaves.
Trump 2024!!
Ok, re+ard.
Been saying this for several years now
Imagine saying a physical difference means people cant live in unity and think its a smart thing to say smh
I mean are we living in unity tho?
This how I know you’re a fake Fake TK. The real Fake TK would never write something like this all serious with no 💯
@@alithareaper7173 Nah, but it's only due to the physical difference in that a lot of white people still can't get past it. So in that sense, it's more the collective intellect of white people rather than the actual physical difference.
Yo why the hell do they keep releasing these interviews in segments? Why not just release the whole interview or don't release nothing until it's done? Shit is annoying
Trump 2024
Ok, re+ard.
Based Lincoln.
Yall say neither party is good but yet you keep voting for one side..
I DON'T EVA VOTE! THEY ARE ALL BUMS PERIOD!!!!! AND I'M 61!!!!!
Because both can be bad while one is still better than the other. Hope this helps.
2:45 no, read Lincoln’s quote on Aug 22, 1862. He said that he did what’s best for the country, not for black people.
To google facts is not the way to go.. Google is comprised. You have to dig deeper to find the truth
If google told Vlad he was an 24 years old Chinese man he'd believe it
To answer your question Vlad; Lincoln didn't change his position when he became president.
Definitely did more than Obama.
This is the definition of brainrot folks.
How?
I want you to tell me what Trump did for Black people?
Wonder why Trump was so against putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill?
FACTS ‼️ Obama sent more people to prison than bush he also extended all of bush policies I’m a black man but I’m disgusted with Obama honestly
Some comedians are very intelligent that’s Aries
That's the go to excuse for Caucasians, it was so long ago. He or she was young. They tried to use the same excuse for Bidens racist remarks. They don't make this excuse. When someone has made a negative comment about the Star people in the past.
Biden is blantantly racist. He's also a vegetable so he probably forgets all of the racist shit he's said and done.
Was thinking that exactly. People want to give Biden a pass for his past, crazy racist views 'cos he is older which is wrong.
Aries is from here in NY he knows Trump's racist history and our community going back to 1973
We understand aries but regardless the things lincoln did had a bigger impact
I've said this it's crazy how many people don't know that it was just a political strategy nothing more
He may not have believed in slavery, but he believed in Jim-Crow.
Crow
You did you research unlike the others on here.
You did you research unlike the others on here.
I feel sad for him, he can only see life through the prism of racism
Democrats always use the race card. The president of Harvard is doing right now lol
Feel sad for you that you don't realise that much of life is driven by racism.
Racism is definitely not a prism, because if it were, then everything would be rainbows, which it damn sure isn’t.
@TDashem what that means is some people have been brainwashed to think that anything bad that happens to them is racism. Didn't get that job? Must be racism. Girl wouldn't go out with you? Racism. Got pulled over ? Racism. Inflation? Racism . Victimhood mentalities are very popular as it removes any personal accountability from your life .its sad but very prevalent
Says the person who probably thinks white men are the most discriminated against in the U.S.
The emancipation proclamation came after the civil war had already been racing Vlad.....
Noooooo, the South was getting too powerful, and they were about to leave the union. It wasn't about humanity with Lincoln it was business.
I am naturally anti-slavery. If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong. I can not remember when I did not so think, and feel. And yet I have never understood that the Presidency conferred upon me an unrestricted right to act officially upon this judgment and feeling.
--April 4, 1864 Letter to Albert Hodges
“Too powerful” lol. And they left the union. How were they about to do what they actually did?
@JDeezy3806 look it up I wasn't there . I read it in a history book
@@reggiejeangilles3600 you don’t know what you are talking about.
@JDeezy3806 ok I guess you do
Lincoln actually changed his mind on black people, this is an oversimplified view of Lincoln as a man.
Yea Lincoln didn't free the slaves for benevolent reasons but he still did it. That still counts for a lot.
meanwhile we have wokesters who tells us how much they love black people telling them they're perpetual victims which holds them back when they buy into this flawed thinking.
Actually the slaves freed themselves.
@@beaujac311 go on...
@@tommyfu9271 Look it up.
Holds them back how?
The war was 10% about slaves and 90% about the country being divided on how to more forward building the economy. Cotton fields or railroads.

Trump 2024 ! All day.

Neither party has been good for black people but... Donald Trump has.
LOL. Ok, re+ard.
He did more facts🤷🏽♂️

Which led me to alot of truths. Cant really trust the textbooks for full transparency.........ever. They have always been slanted AF.
