I still fail blighted maps when I get a weird layout. Really long lanes in two different directions with no tower bases near the pump for the first few waves :*( Sometimes I think Cassia joined the immortal syndicate too.
@@lotvacin4927 Which lane? The bases are around a screen away on either side. When one set of towers is loaded, the other is unloaded and not doing anything.
@@SocialDownclimber just place all your towers near your pump. Place a tier 4 minion tower in the first place near the pump. The remaining points you can use to place another tier 4 minion tower or a flamethrower tower in an intersection. Later on support these towers with a level 3 empowering tower. If you are struggling in one side, a chilling tower and a stun tower will help. delay them while you earn points from the other tower. then you can build flamethrowers and minion towers in the lane you are struggling with. make sure you anoint your rings. Empowering effect or scout towers range/damage.
Your vids this season have been top notch. This community drastically has lacked simplistic videos to help new players understand how to play end game. I'm not even close to a newbie, but I've taken something from each of your vids in 3.13

Hey ziz! Great video and thank you for making them. I'm someone who had 1100 hours in path. I could get reasonably geared and even took on elder and shaper several times over the years. However I never really understood a lot of the game. (I've got pretty bad ADHD so reading guides and video guides that good all mathematics just fucking lose me.). Watching your Poe University videos and videos like this have given me a much greater understanding of the game. Exponentially. For the first time I've geared up (almost) my second character of a league and may even get to a third or fourth. Thank you so much man. Your videos are so great and have really allowed me to enjoy the game in a way I never have been able to before. Thanks man and keep up the great work.
Learn the syndicate board, it's not as new player friendly but not as complicated after the first time you do it. Synergizes with valdo's rest farm and test of loyalty. Chayula Flips/Scarabs are so good.
I don’t understand what is the endgame of Syndicate. Like I just execute/interrogate some people and that’s it. Are the side areas that sometimes spawn the actual mechanic?
@@Kronkoft You do safehouses (short maps with syndicate members as bosses) after you gather intelligence. Every member gives different rewards depending on where they are. You can farm specific things or scarabs. i.redd.it/n392cnjtx2m41.png
@@Kronkoft After u put the members in the right positions and form some relationships, the end game from there is just collecting intelligience for research and intervention safehouses and running them over and over with the 3 star members to get their rewards, which are usually 1exalt per safehouse for intervention and upwards of 2-3 exalts for research
First, thanks for putting so much effort into trying to help out, Ziz. That said, I think there is a huge disconnect here. New players (not those just starting at level one, but those who have actually beaten the campaign, and started to do low tier maps for the first time) wont understand or know how to even access the majority of gameplay elements recommended here. Heist being the exception, but you would be shocked how many new end game players Ive met that didnt even know how to get into the Heist area if they didnt play during the Heist season. Most new players dont know how to do Maeven. The game does a crap job at teaching and explaining this. PoE has always sucked at providing end game tutorials. Many new players wont even know how to get past Tier 5 mapping. This isnt Ziz's fault. Its the game's for not being more accessible to the average and new player. PoE is an immensely complex game that requires TONS of research on it just to engage in its core mechanics. To long time players, all of this is like knowing the back of their hand. It seems simple and second nature. Hearing Ziz say, "you only have to do the 4 Maeven fight, and 5 fight... you dont have to go super in depth with it" made me cringe because so many New and average players NEVER get to this point, and never figure out HOW to even get there. Thats the disconnect. Experienced players like Ziz, whose perception is that these sorts of things are known and understood by the majority of new and average players. They arent. New and average players arent swimming in Currency orbs because they are clueless how to farm them. They are clueless how to even GET to the point WHERE they could farm them. Edit: I still gave the video a thumbs up because I appreciate the effort and desire to be helpful.
I just looked up how to get the skill tree for Atlas. I was completely ignoring the Maven, because, ffs, I had too much other stuff to deal with just trying to get the Generals to spawn. I'm not a complete beginner, but this is the first time I'm trying to do the Atlas, and this is with over 700 hours into the game. Truth is, most "Beginner" builds aren't beginner friendly either for a number of reasons. Requiring anything that you have to potentially trade for (Enlighten Gem or Cluster) is a no go. Additionally, beginners probably won't get as much value out of the two extra skill points as the 15 percent all resist and mana regen from the witch bandit. Then there's issues with beginner builds having gems that you have to get on other characters (Maim) for instance, six links that are out of reach, gems shown but not explained when or where to get them, gems linked out of order of when you can get them. I know it sounds common sense, but for a new player it's just chaos. A big part of the issue is that beginners aren't making these beginner guides, people with thousands of hours are, and (this is no disrespect to them) as such, they don't really know what's it like to be a beginner anymore. All that said, I find Ziz's videos extremely helpful. But yes, some things he mentions I have to look up because I haven't gotten to that point yet. (Like doing any named Atlas boss aside from the 4 generals)
I am one of those new players and I totally agree with you here. I have been trying to watch guides and I still have no clue what I'm doing for anything lol
agree. And I would add that going deeper and deeper need a REALLY powerfull PC. Because they code like shit. And most players that come to the game actually don't have top end computers. We got used to it because GGG never made any improvment. I laughted for day when the said they delayed league start to take time hunting bugs and improving performances. Because I knew. patchs that were supposed to improve actually were among the worst I've seen since legacy league.
For the new guys, highly recommend joining The Forbidden Trove ( 6:40 ), as you can sell not only harvest crafts for many chaos, but also learn other ways to make currency such as selling boss killing services, Alva's temple corruptions/ special rooms, Syndicate services ( such as Vorici/Haku T3 in research, or just using It That Fled T3 research to flip breachstones for 1~exalt).
and of course, frindly reminder to never scam there as you'll get on their blacklist, and many people are using tools to automatically block/ignore blacklisted players when they trade, so yea you'll loose a lot and risk a ban ;p
@@Zylosio Indeed, they probably won't be doing any boss killing services for a long time, or any of the "advanced services", but still I feel like it's a good place to learn how much they could get if they focused their build around it, and of course they can always sell temples/syndicate/bosses(low sirus,conqueros,maybe catarina idk ) etc there .
As someone who is not great at the game, and doesn’t play every league, I’ve made a lot of money by utilizing the unusual gems blueprints, leveling those gems, and using the atlas region (tirns I believe) that gives you chance to level temple rooms twice, and carry over levels when you change the room. It’s easy to get a gem corruption room, just do blueprints and get as many alt quality gems as you can for the blueprint. Even as someone who is not great at pricing items, price checking alt quality gems is fairly simple, doing a blueprint with 3-4 wings ullocked, you’re likely to get at least one gem that is worth leveling that can be corrupted for decent profit. You’ll also in the process probably find a couple regrading lenses that can just be sold for a decent amount alone. Anyway that’s how I made my money in the beginning, even managed to sell a gem for 25 ex to really boost my gear early on. I found doing heists and temples fun also so it doesn’t feel like a grind.

As someone who started in metamorph but didn't really play since then until this league, I have over 110ex in my currency tab alone: harbinger(valdos), glnnach and haewark have been my money maker this league. Glrnnach to farm the temple(seriously learn this) and made at least 15ex selling locus of corruption, dory's is institute and upgrading uniques. And haewark farming harvest crafts to sell, with zana Master missions at the same time and paths not taken. This expansion is so good. It introduced so many ways to make money, it's fantastic

@@RandomNewb if farming for craft haewark with zana is the way to go.. i tried proxima it gives a lot of seed but poor qualit of crafts.. also since league is a month old.. imma tell you how i make ez money.. when you get those roll with 'life' roll the medium aoe jewel for towering threat and vast power.. its easy 2ex lol
Could add my current method which is running low tier towers with 40% delirium 3 imposing merchant magic chromium watchstones and one unique one with imposing + nemesis sextant. Max rolled the stones give you a 55% chance for rares to drop an additional currency item paired with strongbox nodes and perhaps a bountiful treasure pop plus beyond and alva makes it absolutely ridiculous with a low investment (unique stone goes for 10c, watchstones if you roll yourself ~2 ex and sextants).

I've been buying Harbinger Orbs and using them to get t15 Beachheads. Each one averages about an Ancient Orb plus Exalted Shards. The map is easy, safe and great consistent experience. It's not meta like it used to be but it's really deterministic in it's rewards.
For uniques, downloading Awakened Poe Trade Macro is pretty helpful. Maybe with rare items isnt that new player friendly, but with uniques or rare currency (i still think that probably is people with a mirror who doesnt know what is worth) is pretty good.
doing low tier ultimatums is allso pretty good. i was getting some low tier completion bonuses and the ultimatus are really easy on white maps if your character is optimised for red maps and i was getting 4c every other map for no investment and you can do them pretty fast if you just need to kill monsters
regarding heists: you want to run a gran heist offering trinkets ASAP to get any trinket that will give you a chance convert currency to one more valuable while you runt heists
I do an average of 30 chaos in blight maps (Jugg Righteous Fire build). I can say that labyrinthian maps are better than open air maps as the mobs can decide to go directly to the pump and damage it. Plus the ice cage can block a door and clump up a bunch of mobs.
Another suggestion similar to Valdo's Rest: Running T15 Beachhead unique maps costs ~12-15c a pop. I've made between 30-60c on every single map in terms of exalted and ancient shards alone. Not to mention it a ridiculously safe way to gain more than 50 million xp/hour for very little effort. I went from 95 to 96 in just a few hours with zero deaths. It seemed a bit intimidating at first to purchase a bunch of unique maps, but there's really no downside to it.
It would be much better to buy Harbinger Orbs then. Quality t15 maps to 20% and apply. This way you get ez quality on your beachheads and its much cheaper.
I still think harbinger farm in Valdo's Rest T10 Canyon map with a 2 watchstone setup is pretty much unbeatable. Get in, kill the big harbinger pack, pick up the most valuable shards and Canyons that might drop, get out. 0 investiment required, you pretty much will never run out of Canyons (assuming you have at least 2 favorite map slots for Canyon in Valdo's Rest), 100% returns. And you can even run Ashen Wood if you running low on Canyons, it has a decent layout as well.
If you happen to loot a rare item that you think is good, you can always use a trade macro. I use awakened poe trade and its really fast and pretty accurate. It also has an in-game overlay for the trade website so you can search for other near identical items without having to alt-tab. You can also adjust stats with it when you search as well.
Yeah, I'm making a character for Valdo's Rest right now... I tried it was my Hexblast character and don't recommend that... Forgot about having the Harbingers in Valdo and went and that did not work out well, lol. Need an ability with more range for that, which is why I'm making a character for it. Blight tips helped me a lot and unless I get screwed on bad tower spawns, I'm more often than not succeeding at Blighted maps. Unfortunately I'm having trouble actually getting Blighted Maps though.
Harvest discord being the best way to make currency really shows how bad the state of farming is. Even more so when they refuse to make harvests itemized to "dissuade players from trading them" or whatever, they just create yet another cumbersome way of doing something that should be easier to begin with.
there are LOADS of good ways to make money this league, I love it. I've personally been running Glennach Cairns Alva missions and building super-temples, which, while not the most efficient way of making money, is the one I enjoy the most, and has still made me quite a bit. That's probably the best tip: find something to grind that doesn't feel like grinding.

I'll write this since Ziz missed it. When you are choosing the level gems, a good recource is to go to poe ninja and check which gems are most valuable.
Ziz, do gems share xp or do they all get the same xp? e.g. if you get 100xp is that divided between the gems which are not level capped? Or is the 100 xp divided between the number of uncapped gems?
but how do you access those maps if you are new? I started a few days ago and still don't know this mechanic of "running specific maps" or how to access them
I abandoned it after about 750 hours of play, don't understand how to continue in the atlas, don't understand what to do, too confusing and useless, i never managed to reach Shaper and Elder, because it is difficult to drop maps of higher level, i created two builds, a necromancer lv94 and a moltenstrike lv89, but by now it has become too annoing and everything has become like a wall that for everything have to rely on the wiki or videos on youtube. It is already difficult to level and due to the sometimes indecent lag die and losing exp, this is frustrating, maps and wasted time
I find it easier on myself to take things slow. I myself have had to stop playing after an hour or two of grinding because I felt I wasn't making progress. But paying close attention to detail is important, as well as sticking to one thing at a time. If I want currency, I don't even try anything else besides grinding certain maps. No progress on the Atlas ? Conquerers aren't showing ? Fine, it wasn't my intent anyways, I wanted the money. Then if I feel like progressing the Atlas, like I _wanted_ to see the atlas map with completed nodes instead of some random dots. What do I do ? I buy the maps I don't have because I sure as shit won't sit my ass clearing completed maps hoping to get a new map drop. "But you lose out on the juicy currencies" well, that's just fine, I'm not focusing on the currencies this time. And sure enough, I actually have more watchstones than I had last league, and have received Maven's invitation to put in the perks for the atlas maps to atleast try Zizaran's first tip in the video. Just take it slow and have fun.

In Haewark Hamlet, if i know how to farm betrayal and i have a very well set table, is more or less profiteable than essence farming? Ofcourse farming too harvest
I farmed my HH this league within a few days doing nothing but New Vastir Legions on Dunes, I'd consider myself unlucky if I didn't get a raw ex drop in an hour (I even had 3 drop in 1 map), and thats just a small part of the profit.
Got fairly lucky and got a double chaos convert trinket and whenever i run low on chaos i do some heists. Of course getting the exalt would've been better but I'm not complaining.

Agree. I switched to trade only recently and heist was and still is by far the best mecanics for that. The thing is, last time I checked you have to use poetrade to aim/filter contracts/BPs because GGG can't even do that properly on their trade site. And because few weeks after league start they nerfed severly contracts drop (was empty on anything for 2 weeks)
as a new player its problem to sell any of these items without trading tab, i would like to know where to farm raw currency and what items are ALWAYS in demand, since i can only sell in chat.

Still absolutely insane and very profitable to farm. I got one of these watchstones for 18ex, rushed about 100 maps and dropped mirror shard, so the watchstone pretty much paid itself on the same day. Even if you consider that I got extremely lucky, I've also got about 70 ancient orbs, 50 annuls and about 5ex of pure exalt shards during that farming session
@@IDyn4m1CI that is indeed extremely lucky, some friends and I ran close to 400 maps and there was not a single mirror shard drop. The nerf hit hard. Considering the time needed and the pain of picking up things and frame drops we just stopped at this point and now farm harvest for more reliable income

The high tier watchstone is definitely worth it still if you run lots of maps, plus you can still sell it for the same price if you're bored of valdos farming
This is the type of thing I need. I dont know *WHY* I should run certain Zana map mods or when, or that certain beasts open portals that can drop uniques, or is there anything to the temple besides double corrupting. Its frustrating to know Im missing out on profit or progress because I dont know why I should be putting my time into any activity. This is on top of trying to figure out how best to use my currency to either craft or buy items to further progress when I can barely figure out what my actual damage is or why the boss in cold river is one shotting me without a combat log and my resists are capped. I've played a few seasons now and its starting to feel like I'm copying a build.. then buying my gear to hit breakpoints.. Then I go out and see if the build works.. am I actually playing a game?
I would love to know how to get rich fast in a league. What are ur guy's strats to get to high maps fast and then farming big boi currency? What do u guys do in earlly league? I always take too long on something and never have a real good take off
Not Ziz but I get to end game full GG build generally by the end of week one (a bit slower than most end game GG players). Having a single strategy and going towards it 100% is super strong, and then after that playing consistently and quickly push towards it. I knew I wanted to grind heist at the start. I made it to maps in about 6hrs, and high tier maps by about the end of day 2. As soon as ppl started to sell 75+ contracts and BPs I bought them up. Almost never lose currency. Having friends that play and don't overlap your farming method is a great help. I had 3 friends funneling their contracts and BPs to me. Purchased my HH day 4 of league. Then swapped to farming delirium maps, started with 20 and worked my way up to 100% canyons.
New player in poe basically means you've finished the acts. There is no point in farming before then, you will just waste time as you can make exponentially more money later on
@@SoftBreadSoft There is a point in farming if you are stuck at a certain boss for some reason or other, usually due to some lack of defense. The video should be properly titled to represent its expectation of access to the epilogue. That’s it.
Enjoy new vastir legion before they nerf it. It actually feels good though since I've always felt the timer was a bit strict and a non-buffed legion monolith seems special and then you guess the wrong direction and you end up with pretty much nothing. Had long wished it was always 20 seconds. But with all the bubbles over the sergeants it's much clearer where you're supposed to go and I can actually usually hit both sides in just the 15. And the goodies... so so many goodies.
i feel like Valdo's harbingers spawn is too good right now and will be nerfed. The "joined by reinforcements" is like an insane amount, not sure how much but looks like 10 other harbingers? And every single map too. Not sure if bug or even if intentional that it will stay as powerful for future leagues.
If you don't have any, you can try farming adjacent areas which can also drop them. Also buy Valdo maps from Zanza and trade three of same map to upgrade (and if you have more than three of the same map, switch the other maps in and out, as you can potentially get other maps of the same area) Once you do have Valdo maps, run them and you should start getting more of them.
@@j.d.6915 where you store your watch stones on the left, there is 3 circles together if you put your mouse over is going to tell you what do you need to unlock them, each circle is one map you can favorite. And you can fav the same map 3 times
I doubt that the chances are 10% to get Harvest in Haewark now. I play the 4th day in a row with chainfarming Atolls now (aprox. 5 hours a day) and got 0 natural Harvests... wtf.
I'm screwed, barely understood any of this. Only 90 hours in tho, I've only managed to get 32 chaos orbs since I started. I 100% cleared every single zone from act 1 on thru act 10 (I now know that was a colossal waste of time) as well as opened every chest , only done up to t4 maps though, currently have only cleared 40 or so maps, still just a noob who doesn't know squat. Followed a guide for the skill points and gems but don't even understand it, just copied whatever they had.
I for sure have vendored items that would get me tons of currency. I have no idea what I'm doing with crafting or pricing rares. I play for fun and still loving the game without having tons of cash.
Look for 1x high life ( or es ) roll + 2x tier 1 res ( or very close ) +1x high attribute ( like 45 mini ). That's a good starting point for rares. Or also the same item but with 2 big attributes and 1 high res instead. Those kinds of combos have to trigger your awareness before vendoring
I need specific socket colour combination on Carcas Jack And not a lot of people Is selling it So i wanted to ask if 10ex Is a lot even for people who run maps tier 10+
10ex is a lot. For specific color combos, get close, then try to get Harvest. Harvests of "change random two sockets to red and blue" or the like are reasonably common.
@@christopherlansky Also, to get harvests, either run the areas with harvest atlas bonuses, or run Zana missions. (Sometimes she has harvest options.) The Socket color crafting option is the one to look out for.
Valdo's rest, which is an area on the atlas. You will know when you see a Harbringer, a lot of blue and they summon monsters. When they die they drop currency shards.
**NEW player friendly** 1. Valdo's Rest Mapping. Me (new player, just got my first character to lvl 50): WTF is Valdo's Rest? You may need to re-think your definition of "new player"...
Couldn't agree more. I'm not a brand new player - coming back after a 2 year break, but still consider myself a new(ish) player as I'm yet to play a character past Act 7. No criticism intended to Zizeran (his POE University videos are great, though personally I zone about after 5 minutes because there's too much information being given without any context new players could relate to), but most streamers give these 'tips for new players; they all talk about mapping. Erm - as a new player, you wouldn't be doing mapping yet. So, tips for new players should be about giving tips for a player with a character that's level 30 or lower (equivalent to having completed at least the first 3 acts.) It annoys me when I see videos like these, with a character that's clearly high-level with a stash full of gear and currency, talking about stuff a really new player would have access to in the game yet.
Sooo many times in global 20 which im normally in, you'll get people asking for a.price check and people.will just say 25ex. Coz its a meme, but basically saying to.people go and learn to.price it yourself and it frustrates me.because all a person is asking is for.a bit of help.
heist is the most profitable. BUT especialy deception because you can rush out, no downtime. lockpicking second forget about harvest, even using TFT discord channel. Even trying to sell them for discount you waste time for the very very few that craft and stream. most terrible advice is about levling gems. Even very powerfull alternate quality, that's a waste of time unless you play ssf. I played Ssf for more than 2 years, I'll never ever waste a time leveling, TONS of opportubities on the market. He forgot that some delve items (+1 spectre, especially regalias, and many mores like auras) are worth a lot : worth taking a detour to look for them.

Learn the syndicate board, it's not as new player friendly but not as complicated after the first time you do it. Synergizes with valdo's rest farm and test of loyalty. Chayula Flips/Scarabs are so good.

I don’t understand what is the endgame of Syndicate. Like I just execute/interrogate some people and that’s it. Are the side areas that sometimes spawn the actual mechanic?
@@Kronkoft You do safehouses (short maps with syndicate members as bosses) after you gather intelligence. Every member gives different rewards depending on where they are. You can farm specific things or scarabs.

@@Kronkoft After u put the members in the right positions and form some relationships, the end game from there is just collecting intelligience for research and intervention safehouses and running them over and over with the 3 star members to get their rewards, which are usually 1exalt per safehouse for intervention and upwards of 2-3 exalts for research
First, thanks for putting so much effort into trying to help out, Ziz.
That said, I think there is a huge disconnect here. New players (not those just starting at level one, but those who have actually beaten the campaign, and started to do low tier maps for the first time) wont understand or know how to even access the majority of gameplay elements recommended here. Heist being the exception, but you would be shocked how many new end game players Ive met that didnt even know how to get into the Heist area if they didnt play during the Heist season.
Most new players dont know how to do Maeven. The game does a crap job at teaching and explaining this. PoE has always sucked at providing end game tutorials. Many new players wont even know how to get past Tier 5 mapping. This isnt Ziz's fault. Its the game's for not being more accessible to the average and new player. PoE is an immensely complex game that requires TONS of research on it just to engage in its core mechanics.
To long time players, all of this is like knowing the back of their hand. It seems simple and second nature. Hearing Ziz say, "you only have to do the 4 Maeven fight, and 5 fight... you dont have to go super in depth with it" made me cringe because so many New and average players NEVER get to this point, and never figure out HOW to even get there. Thats the disconnect. Experienced players like Ziz, whose perception is that these sorts of things are known and understood by the majority of new and average players. They arent.
New and average players arent swimming in Currency orbs because they are clueless how to farm them. They are clueless how to even GET to the point WHERE they could farm them.

I just looked up how to get the skill tree for Atlas. I was completely ignoring the Maven, because, ffs, I had too much other stuff to deal with just trying to get the Generals to spawn. I'm not a complete beginner, but this is the first time I'm trying to do the Atlas, and this is with over 700 hours into the game.
Truth is, most "Beginner" builds aren't beginner friendly either for a number of reasons. Requiring anything that you have to potentially trade for (Enlighten Gem or Cluster) is a no go. Additionally, beginners probably won't get as much value out of the two extra skill points as the 15 percent all resist and mana regen from the witch bandit. Then there's issues with beginner builds having gems that you have to get on other characters (Maim) for instance, six links that are out of reach, gems shown but not explained when or where to get them, gems linked out of order of when you can get them. I know it sounds common sense, but for a new player it's just chaos.
A big part of the issue is that beginners aren't making these beginner guides, people with thousands of hours are, and (this is no disrespect to them) as such, they don't really know what's it like to be a beginner anymore.
All that said, I find Ziz's videos extremely helpful. But yes, some things he mentions I have to look up because I haven't gotten to that point yet. (Like doing any named Atlas boss aside from the 4 generals)

agree. And I would add that going deeper and deeper need a REALLY powerfull PC. Because they code like shit. And most players that come to the game actually don't have top end computers.
We got used to it because GGG never made any improvment. I laughted for day when the said they delayed league start to take time hunting bugs and improving performances. Because I knew. patchs that were supposed to improve actually were among the worst I've seen since legacy league.
For the new guys, highly recommend joining The Forbidden Trove ( 6:40 ), as you can sell not only harvest crafts for many chaos, but also learn other ways to make currency such as selling boss killing services, Alva's temple corruptions/ special rooms, Syndicate services ( such as Vorici/Haku T3 in research, or just using It That Fled T3 research to flip breachstones for 1~exalt).
and of course, frindly reminder to never scam there as you'll get on their blacklist, and many people are using tools to automatically block/ignore blacklisted players when they trade, so yea you'll loose a lot and risk a ban ;p

As a new player, this is insanely helpful. No idea half the stuff in this game existed until I see it randomly in videos like this
As someone who is not great at the game, and doesn’t play every league, I’ve made a lot of money by utilizing the unusual gems blueprints, leveling those gems, and using the atlas region (tirns I believe) that gives you chance to level temple rooms twice, and carry over levels when you change the room. It’s easy to get a gem corruption room, just do blueprints and get as many alt quality gems as you can for the blueprint. Even as someone who is not great at pricing items, price checking alt quality gems is fairly simple, doing a blueprint with 3-4 wings ullocked, you’re likely to get at least one gem that is worth leveling that can be corrupted for decent profit. You’ll also in the process probably find a couple regrading lenses that can just be sold for a decent amount alone. Anyway that’s how I made my money in the beginning, even managed to sell a gem for 25 ex to really boost my gear early on. I found doing heists and temples fun also so it doesn’t feel like a grind.

As someone who started in metamorph but didn't really play since then until this league, I have over 110ex in my currency tab alone: harbinger(valdos), glnnach and haewark have been my money maker this league.
Glrnnach to farm the temple(seriously learn this) and made at least 15ex selling locus of corruption, dory's is institute and upgrading uniques.
And haewark farming harvest crafts to sell, with zana Master missions at the same time and paths not taken.
This expansion is so good. It introduced so many ways to make money, it's fantastic

Could add my current method which is running low tier towers with 40% delirium 3 imposing merchant magic chromium watchstones and one unique one with imposing + nemesis sextant. Max rolled the stones give you a 55% chance for rares to drop an additional currency item paired with strongbox nodes and perhaps a bountiful treasure pop plus beyond and alva makes it absolutely ridiculous with a low investment (unique stone goes for 10c, watchstones if you roll yourself ~2 ex and sextants).

I've been buying Harbinger Orbs and using them to get t15 Beachheads. Each one averages about an Ancient Orb plus Exalted Shards. The map is easy, safe and great consistent experience. It's not meta like it used to be but it's really deterministic in it's rewards.
For uniques, downloading Awakened Poe Trade Macro is pretty helpful. Maybe with rare items isnt that new player friendly, but with uniques or rare currency (i still think that probably is people with a mirror who doesnt know what is worth) is pretty good.
doing low tier ultimatums is allso pretty good. i was getting some low tier completion bonuses and the ultimatus are really easy on white maps if your character is optimised for red maps and i was getting 4c every other map for no investment and you can do them pretty fast if you just need to kill monsters
regarding heists: you want to run a gran heist offering trinkets ASAP to get any trinket that will give you a chance convert currency to one more valuable while you runt heists
I do an average of 30 chaos in blight maps (Jugg Righteous Fire build). I can say that labyrinthian maps are better than open air maps as the mobs can decide to go directly to the pump and damage it. Plus the ice cage can block a door and clump up a bunch of mobs.
Another suggestion similar to Valdo's Rest: Running T15 Beachhead unique maps costs ~12-15c a pop. I've made between 30-60c on every single map in terms of exalted and ancient shards alone. Not to mention it a ridiculously safe way to gain more than 50 million xp/hour for very little effort. I went from 95 to 96 in just a few hours with zero deaths. It seemed a bit intimidating at first to purchase a bunch of unique maps, but there's really no downside to it.
It would be much better to buy Harbinger Orbs then. Quality t15 maps to 20% and apply. This way you get ez quality on your beachheads and its much cheaper.
I still think harbinger farm in Valdo's Rest T10 Canyon map with a 2 watchstone setup is pretty much unbeatable. Get in, kill the big harbinger pack, pick up the most valuable shards and Canyons that might drop, get out. 0 investiment required, you pretty much will never run out of Canyons (assuming you have at least 2 favorite map slots for Canyon in Valdo's Rest), 100% returns. And you can even run Ashen Wood if you running low on Canyons, it has a decent layout as well.
If you happen to loot a rare item that you think is good, you can always use a trade macro. I use awakened poe trade and its really fast and pretty accurate. It also has an in-game overlay for the trade website so you can search for other near identical items without having to alt-tab. You can also adjust stats with it when you search as well.

Yeah, I'm making a character for Valdo's Rest right now... I tried it was my Hexblast character and don't recommend that... Forgot about having the Harbingers in Valdo and went and that did not work out well, lol. Need an ability with more range for that, which is why I'm making a character for it. Blight tips helped me a lot and unless I get screwed on bad tower spawns, I'm more often than not succeeding at Blighted maps. Unfortunately I'm having trouble actually getting Blighted Maps though.
I would add beast farming in that one region (i forget which one it is) as well. pretty easy to do

Harvest discord being the best way to make currency really shows how bad the state of farming is. Even more so when they refuse to make harvests itemized to "dissuade players from trading them" or whatever, they just create yet another cumbersome way of doing something that should be easier to begin with.
there are LOADS of good ways to make money this league, I love it. I've personally been running Glennach Cairns Alva missions and building super-temples, which, while not the most efficient way of making money, is the one I enjoy the most, and has still made me quite a bit. That's probably the best tip: find something to grind that doesn't feel like grinding.

Selling temples you’ve run in glennach is pretty profitable, and is a fairly easy system to figure out.
Ziz, do gems share xp or do they all get the same xp? e.g. if you get 100xp is that divided between the gems which are not level capped? Or is the 100 xp divided between the number of uncapped gems?

but how do you access those maps if you are new? I started a few days ago and still don't know this mechanic of "running specific maps" or how to access them
I abandoned it after about 750 hours of play, don't understand how to continue in the atlas, don't understand what to do, too confusing and useless, i never managed to reach Shaper and Elder, because it is difficult to drop maps of higher level, i created two builds, a necromancer lv94 and a moltenstrike lv89, but by now it has become too annoing and everything has become like a wall that for everything have to rely on the wiki or videos on youtube.
It is already difficult to level and due to the sometimes indecent lag die and losing exp, this is frustrating, maps and wasted time
I find it easier on myself to take things slow. I myself have had to stop playing after an hour or two of grinding because I felt I wasn't making progress. But paying close attention to detail is important, as well as sticking to one thing at a time. If I want currency, I don't even try anything else besides grinding certain maps. No progress on the Atlas ? Conquerers aren't showing ? Fine, it wasn't my intent anyways, I wanted the money. Then if I feel like progressing the Atlas, like I _wanted_ to see the atlas map with completed nodes instead of some random dots. What do I do ? I buy the maps I don't have because I sure as shit won't sit my ass clearing completed maps hoping to get a new map drop. "But you lose out on the juicy currencies" well, that's just fine, I'm not focusing on the currencies this time. And sure enough, I actually have more watchstones than I had last league, and have received Maven's invitation to put in the perks for the atlas maps to atleast try Zizaran's first tip in the video.

In Haewark Hamlet, if i know how to farm betrayal and i have a very well set table, is more or less profiteable than essence farming? Ofcourse farming too harvest
I farmed my HH this league within a few days doing nothing but New Vastir Legions on Dunes, I'd consider myself unlucky if I didn't get a raw ex drop in an hour (I even had 3 drop in 1 map), and thats just a small part of the profit.
Got fairly lucky and got a double chaos convert trinket and whenever i run low on chaos i do some heists.
Of course getting the exalt would've been better but I'm not complaining.

Agree. I switched to trade only recently and heist was and still is by far the best mecanics for that.
The thing is, last time I checked you have to use poetrade to aim/filter contracts/BPs because GGG can't even do that properly on their trade site. And because few weeks after league start they nerfed severly contracts drop (was empty on anything for 2 weeks)

Still absolutely insane and very profitable to farm. I got one of these watchstones for 18ex, rushed about 100 maps and dropped mirror shard, so the watchstone pretty much paid itself on the same day. Even if you consider that I got extremely lucky, I've also got about 70 ancient orbs, 50 annuls and about 5ex of pure exalt shards during that farming session
@@IDyn4m1CI that is indeed extremely lucky, some friends and I ran close to 400 maps and there was not a single mirror shard drop. The nerf hit hard. Considering the time needed and the pain of picking up things and frame drops we just stopped at this point and now farm harvest for more reliable income

This is the type of thing I need. I dont know *WHY* I should run certain Zana map mods or when, or that certain beasts open portals that can drop uniques, or is there anything to the temple besides double corrupting. Its frustrating to know Im missing out on profit or progress because I dont know why I should be putting my time into any activity. This is on top of trying to figure out how best to use my currency to either craft or buy items to further progress when I can barely figure out what my actual damage is or why the boss in cold river is one shotting me without a combat log and my resists are capped. I've played a few seasons now and its starting to feel like I'm copying a build.. then buying my gear to hit breakpoints.. Then I go out and see if the build works.. am I actually playing a game?
I would love to know how to get rich fast in a league. What are ur guy's strats to get to high maps fast and then farming big boi currency? What do u guys do in earlly league? I always take too long on something and never have a real good take off
Not Ziz but I get to end game full GG build generally by the end of week one (a bit slower than most end game GG players). Having a single strategy and going towards it 100% is super strong, and then after that playing consistently and quickly push towards it. I knew I wanted to grind heist at the start. I made it to maps in about 6hrs, and high tier maps by about the end of day 2. As soon as ppl started to sell 75+ contracts and BPs I bought them up. Almost never lose currency. Having friends that play and don't overlap your farming method is a great help. I had 3 friends funneling their contracts and BPs to me. Purchased my HH day 4 of league. Then swapped to farming delirium maps, started with 20 and worked my way up to 100% canyons.
I'm only playing in my second league ever and and an exalted orb just dropped on act 6 I don't even know what to do with myself do I sell it?

You tagged the video "new player friendly", but the first method mentioned is not something a new player would know about.
New player in poe basically means you've finished the acts. There is no point in farming before then, you will just waste time as you can make exponentially more money later on

It actually feels good though since I've always felt the timer was a bit strict and a non-buffed legion monolith seems special and then you guess the wrong direction and you end up with pretty much nothing. Had long wished it was always 20 seconds.
But with all the bubbles over the sergeants it's much clearer where you're supposed to go and I can actually usually hit both sides in just the 15.
And the goodies... so so many goodies.

i feel like Valdo's harbingers spawn is too good right now and will be nerfed. The "joined by reinforcements" is like an insane amount, not sure how much but looks like 10 other harbingers? And every single map too. Not sure if bug or even if intentional that it will stay as powerful for future leagues.

If you don't have any, you can try farming adjacent areas which can also drop them. Also buy Valdo maps from Zanza and trade three of same map to upgrade (and if you have more than three of the same map, switch the other maps in and out, as you can potentially get other maps of the same area) Once you do have Valdo maps, run them and you should start getting more of them.
Use the favorite map system to get more drops of an specific map and stuff.

@@j.d.6915 where you store your watch stones on the left, there is 3 circles together if you put your mouse over is going to tell you what do you need to unlock them, each circle is one map you can favorite. And you can fav the same map 3 times

I'm screwed, barely understood any of this. Only 90 hours in tho, I've only managed to get 32 chaos orbs since I started. I 100% cleared every single zone from act 1 on thru act 10 (I now know that was a colossal waste of time) as well as opened every chest , only done up to t4 maps though, currently have only cleared 40 or so maps, still just a noob who doesn't know squat. Followed a guide for the skill points and gems but don't even understand it, just copied whatever they had.
I for sure have vendored items that would get me tons of currency. I have no idea what I'm doing with crafting or pricing rares. I play for fun and still loving the game without having tons of cash.
Look for 1x high life ( or es ) roll + 2x tier 1 res ( or very close ) +1x high attribute ( like 45 mini ). That's a good starting point for rares. Or also the same item but with 2 big attributes and 1 high res instead. Those kinds of combos have to trigger your awareness before vendoring

10ex is a lot. For specific color combos, get close, then try to get Harvest. Harvests of "change random two sockets to red and blue" or the like are reasonably common.

@@christopherlansky Also, to get harvests, either run the areas with harvest atlas bonuses, or run Zana missions. (Sometimes she has harvest options.) The Socket color crafting option is the one to look out for.
You could also try the Vorici Chromatic Calculator and see whats the best approach to get the colors you need

Couldn't agree more. I'm not a brand new player - coming back after a 2 year break, but still consider myself a new(ish) player as I'm yet to play a character past Act 7. No criticism intended to Zizeran (his POE University videos are great, though personally I zone about after 5 minutes because there's too much information being given without any context new players could relate to), but most streamers give these 'tips for new players; they all talk about mapping. Erm - as a new player, you wouldn't be doing mapping yet. So, tips for new players should be about giving tips for a player with a character that's level 30 or lower (equivalent to having completed at least the first 3 acts.) It annoys me when I see videos like these, with a character that's clearly high-level with a stash full of gear and currency, talking about stuff a really new player would have access to in the game yet.
UPDATE: Harvest got nerfed and is not worth it anymore

most terrible advice is about levling gems. Even very powerfull alternate quality, that's a waste of time unless you play ssf. I played Ssf for more than 2 years, I'll never ever waste a time leveling, TONS of opportubities on the market.
