This would be more impactful if I hadn’t spent the last decade watching Jay become increasingly attractive, articulate and confident on screen. If anything, he’s sucking the life force from Mike and Rich.
@@DrunkenCoward1 He definitely does though. I understand this thought. He’s short, so maybe he’s been picked on for that his whole life? It’s got to be difficult being a short guy in American society. That’s just a total shot in the dark. Maybe I’m way off base.

Great edit. These guys have been a part of my life for so long, it's sad thinking they'll probably all die before me. Except Rich Evans. Rich will outlive the universe.
It's really amazing how easy it is to recontextualize RLM. Watching normally, Jay seems like he loves what he does. Watching this, I genuinely believe he hates it.
Jay is the entire reason I finally gave RLM a real chance couple years back after knowing about it for YEARS. There's a direct correlation between his come-up and the increasing quality of the channel.
Poor Jay. All those years of abuse has made him reverse age and look better. This may seem like a positive feat, but don’t be fooled. Jay looks healthier the more miserable he feels. As his father, I know this to be fact. Hang in there, son.
When Jay's voice came in at the start I thought it was one of those radio dramas, like in that one Mike video, and I was like "Wow, he found a radio drama speaker who sounds just like Jay, what are the odds."
I've only now became aware of Jay being the one guy that said "consume product then wait for the next thing" and decided to search about this guy. This seems like a good video summarizing him in the show lol
This came up in my recommended. Didn't look at the channel name; half way through thought to myself 'this feels like a homage to Plumwax'... Glad to see you're making videos again 👍
Sometimes I wish I could just drive to Milwaukee and rescue Jay from Mike's grasp. I just want to hold him in my arms while whispering "everything is going to be alright". And snatch him to Mexico. Yes, that's kidnapping. But it comes from a place of love. Gay love that is. Wait.. is he even gay?
Around 2:15 it gets pretty depressing. It's a little sad for me especially because I know that sometimes I am Mike, shaking my head to tell my friends that no, they are wrong. In this case, I'm not clear on what Jay is arguing in favor of, so I can't say if he's right of course. Still, it's rough to see a friend of his just try to shut down his idea.
The tone shift at 1:34 is rough. I think it’s just them poking fun at Jays niche hobbies, but with the editing, it feels like Mike is genuinely hateful of his best friend’s interests lmao But I can’t imagine that it’s anything but love off-camera.

3:32 Right here you can see the opposing forces of Mike and Jays character. Mike has his delusion of grandeur being threatened with a gun and Jay has his righteous attitude of stopping Mikes nonsense to preserve his own grandeur.
