That is we question the vision 2050. We believe it is a foreign concept bought by our government from Singapore and never been contextualize for PNG. Hon Bird keep speaking!!!

The priminister boldly said that they will make PNG the first black riches nation in 10 years time. So Pangu must achieve 50% of what they said by the end of this term. If not then ol pairap nating olsem ol kundu nating. Let's take back PNG.

Why we do not have the correct figures of employment in the country because of the improper and incorrect figures acquire during the census.
There were distorting figures jotted during the counting that doesn't reflect the actual head per house, section and allotments.

Systematic and Systemic approach, this country needs a brand new OP system. Do away with the one man shit show thats getting this Nation into so many LOW levels. Now, Hon.A.Bird highlighted having a dashboard to capture the plan, design, budget, actions, follow ups and reporting type structure but let me say this, we've got 70% of blanks sitting there who have no idea whats been said and with absolute no vision at all. Vote Hon A.Bird in the VONC coming whatever time, and you'll see change.

A good debate, but trying to emulate Singapore is actually unrealistic and an illusion. One can not compare Singapore and PNG. It's like comparing an apple to an orange. PNG is a huge country, with rugged terrain and far flung isolated communities. Our development challenges are far greater than for tiny Singapore. If you spend K15 billion in a small place like Singapore, it will transform overnight, whereas in a big place like PNG, you will hardly notice changes overnight. However, Singapore can be rightly compared with Gazelle Peninsula, as their land area and development challenges are similar.

I agree but want to add that its not just the land mass and population that differ. The govt system and policies particularly zero tolerance to corruption in Singapore since independence places us on the opposite side of the spectrum to Singapore.
Our GDP per capita is nowhere near Singapore's so to emulate their success is pure fantacy. Maybe not in this generation.

But old is PNG....Just campare PNG with Israel which depended on Tourism, agriculture and Christianity...whereas PNG has a good number of mines operating in the nation...PNG can develop quickly only if our leaders change their mindset and think right...
