Why does the engine sound change in 5th gear
Good question. My guess: The microphone changes its direction due to the centrifugal force at the speeds they reach when shifting into 5th gear. Could be completely wrong though.
It doesn't change, it's the gearbox whine that's gone.
It's not the engine it's the dog box from first to fourth it's wining until fifth and sixth
Its gearbox. 1-4 are straight - toothed gears and 5 is obliquegear
