Druridge Bay is my back door born and bread here I know all the places you have walked but have never seen that post with the coins ( you learn something new every day ) as for the tank traps just think of the poor lads that mixed the concrete and poured it into a wooden mould all the way up the coast. On your next visit see if you can find the old gunpit ( Pill box ) there's still a little bit of it showing. Further along towards Creswell there is a gunpit that looks like an old shepards cottage made to fool the Germans.
