this was an amazing set... an amazing evening of music. it was pointed out to me last night by my traveling companion that my country yodel can be heard in the first 3 seconds of the recording. As great as the set was, I'm sooo thankful that we got to see/hear 'Sleepwalker' in Austin. It's been my favorite since I first witnessed FF in 2002 opening for Antony & The Johnsons at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco.

@@Scorps151 it wasn't easy to focus on Dawn as she was soo far to the right. before this tour the last time i'd seen them was a few times 22 years ago when FF was clearly a Dawn McCarthy band and she did the majority of talking and Nils sang much less. Not a critique at all, I love every minute regardless... just an observation.
just as SGM now has everyone contributing songs rather than just Nils with the occasion Dan (and the one Moe bringing in a cover)

@@Scorps151 It and other songs only ever played at live shows will be on the forthcoming album from Drag City, including: Widdershins, Hiawatha, Sugar Camp, Elfrida, Wedding Song, Raccoon Washing, Your Ember Name, A Fearful Name , Woolsey Street and the Lake of Fire, Black Angels and maybe one or two covers like Wonderous Stories by Yes and I Wonder If I Care As Much by The Everly Brothers might be on the new record as well.
Nils said that it is all done and recorded. It was supposed to come out late 2023 so I guess Drag City is just waiting for a good release date and since The Family Album and Mother Twilight were just released for the first time ever on vinyl this month, it might be soon.
I spoke to Nils back in March and a few days ago I contacted the band and one of the girls answered.
