Burley New Forest - Family of 4 take their VW Campervan to the New Forest for the Day

We take a trip to Burley in the New Forest for the day. With Lambretta's, kite flying, ice cream, horse and cart, mini's and even a metro! Sorry, but we really only use the campervan for transport today.

Yes Burley Fudge was open. They're only letting one person/family in at a time as is a small shop. The shops were all taking the covid secure seriously. I got snapped at for missing the hand sanitiser at the entrance of a shop by one shop keeper. No problem and I followed the instruction without protest (you can never have enough hand sanitiser). This was the first time we've been shopping as a family since lockdown and I decide to forget a proper mask. It felt good to spend a little money in the shops and tea rooms and they seemed very grateful.

Family Campervan Adventures good to hear Burley fudge had the shop open. We buy their fudge mail order so we don’t want them going belly up. Do you think you will get a holiday this year in the van ?

@@LifeistooshortCK it's a shame to see companies going under. A couple of tea rooms have closed in Burley (one of which we have used in the past). We've got some weekend trips booked in for August and a 2 weeker booked for the end of September/beginning of October. We've a bit of a mix planned (theme parks, temporary holiday sites, holiday parks, Camping and Caravaning Club sites and private sites), so will be interesting to see how things go. We won't be doing anything we're not comfortable with in the current climate. But if we feel uncomfortable we can always retire to the campervan to our own space. Fingers crossed everything goes to plan.
