I’m traveling to Austria in 10 days and i have to say how informative and helpful your vlogs are! I’m really happy that I discovered your channel. Keep the good work!
My niece told me she's always wanted to visit Vienna. Who knows, maybe one day we'll go. I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and tips on your favorite places to visit.
@traktorensteff Thanks. Yeah, it was awesome before christmas last year. All the Christmas markets covered in snow, drinking gluhwein and having a real winter wonderland. Sucks about the weather this year though :(
Glad I could help. Hope you will do well in all your classes this semester too... Especially extra credit things like commenting on your videos and then having the prof comment back :) that would be 2 comments for you already ;) Hope you have a great time in Vienna next semester. I did the summer program with U of I back in the day. See you around...
Mark thank you for your great videos ! If you can put the names of the places on the video would be very helpful, since all these names are in Austrian german ( I think ) and therefore hard to right down unless I see them written Thank you ! Love your videos! One more question, I am planning in 9 days to visit Berlin, Vienna and Prague. Is it too much? Any recommendation ?
Instead of 2 Churches i would visit the "Kaisergruft" where the old kings & queens (incl. Sissi) find there final resting in elaborate coffins. For me, as austrian who dont lives in vienna, there's the place to feel a breath of history.
Hi Mark, what you referred to as Prater isn't the Prater it's only the amusement park called "Würstelprater" or Sausage-Prater. The real Prater or also called the green Prater is a very large public park. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prater
point 8: DON'T go to the Naschmarkt! Only tourists and school classes from the province go there, and there is a new section now where Yuppies go to do whatever they are doing in their free time. But there are several smaller markets, which are way nicer, of you are looking for this kind of experience. point 9: Very important: Don't ask for beer when you are at a Heurigen.
Did you know that Vienna is more in the East than Prag? Check the map! I know what you mean-it was not "eastern block" but yes it Vienna is Eastern Europe.
Vienna is in the east of austria and more eastern europe, but vorarlberg for example is more west than the whole czech republic. In every Newspaper in Austria it is called Middle or WESTeurope. It's the eastern country of west europe, yes!And it's ways richer and cleaner than all the other countrys in eastern europe. It just has excelent contacts to eastern europe and many companies expanded into EE desmond.imageshack.us/Himg26/scaled.php?server=26&filename=eastandwesteurope.png&res=landing

Who knew that John Candy knows so much about Vienna?
My favourite place in Vienna is the Hundertwasserhaus. Fascinating blend of art and social housing - check it on Google.
maybe you wanna try out Triest in Italy which i kinda a mix of austria and italy in one town.
ShareEndorphins l I liked it in Trieste. though I was there for a calcio match and my team lost... but wow the wind there is crazy

yes - it was already thumbs down in 2011, but is much more overrated - only an eating place - since then.
Isn't the Spanish Riding School with the Lipizzaner horses in Vienna? That is the main thing that I would like to do there.
Yes
you should put all advices in writing because sometimes I don't understand what you mention
@Mutleytech Glad you like the videos. i appreciate your comments and keep watching! have a great day!
@kartal4830 Too late, I already did :)
Correction. The Zoo is the oldest in the world

Man you were handsome
I thought the bone rooms were really interesting but i kept giggling cause all i could think of was the Monty Python skit "Throw out your dead"
@Mutleytech AUSTRIA IS NOT EASTERN EUROPE!
why the hell have you been to Vienna in the winter when it's so damn cold?! Vienna is so much better in summer!!!
We're going in the winter for the Christmas markets.
sorry to say that, but now, 2017, DON'T go to the naschmarkt. it's not worth it anymore. now it's all sushi restaurants.
