King Diamond does not play " Graveyard " material very often , but when he does , you will leave the concert and , guaranteed , will never never underestimate " Graveyard" ´s genius ever again . I used to see that album as King Diamond´s weakest moment after a string of what to me was Metal perfection , one day I went to see King Diamond and he , to my surprise , included " Lucy forever " ( a song which I didn´t like ... at all ) in the set . That day , something clicked , one of those moments of clarity ... all of a sudden I was listening to " Graveyard " with different ears . That , to me was the concert´s highlight ( " House of God " tour if not mistaken , been going to concerts since the 80s so , at times , such details may get a bit blurry ) . Today I listen to " Graveyard " as the closest he´s ever gotten to a prog horror album without compromising in the heaviness department . Songs are not as immediate as the ones on previous albums , they just need more effort on your behalf , and when you get it , there it is , alongside previous , follow up albums , most of which , only happen to be more immediate .
@@tythealkemist9856 That used to be one of my favourite KD songs in the 80s , still love it , as soon as I read it I immediately listened to that riff/howling in my head .

That and Spiders Lullabye, is arguably his best work lyrically.
A King Diamond show is always special. You always get more than just songs performed live. A great entertainer as well as a metal legend! 🤘
Wow. I never thought he would pkay anything live from the graveyard album. Wish he did the song" from the other side" live .
Any music from spiders in lullaby.
Agreed I need him to do Lurking In the Dark too that song is 🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒
