Great video. Watching it brings back so many memories. I was a young 19 year old kid when I visted there doing an internship. I'm from a small town in Florida and coming to Boston was my first time leaving my state. That week my buddy and I must've walked all over this place. I loved it!
no NYC is the most walkable large city in the US and Boston is 3 in the top most walkable cities with more than 300000 people, many smaller US cities are more even more walkable including Cambridge here
@@rrealaaron Really? You obviously haven't been there. I live in Boston since 1986, I don't know if you ever visited, but please will you point out some "dsngeros" areas as you'd mentioned? assuming you meant to say "dangerous"!
I enjoyed this video very much. I was in the US for six months recently and had been to these areas earlier in this year. So, I could really refresh those memories while watching this video. Thanks. I have also posted some videos related to my visits to Harvard and MIT. You may go through them.
Thanks so much, man! I was only there for a day, so this was the only video (besides a Big Dig Night Tour that I had to take down from YT temporarily) I shot in Boston.
OMG! I cannot believe I didn't notice these typos until just now when I watched the video again after reading your comment! I am completely embarrassed. Thank you for watching and for pointing out my unintentional spelling mistakes! :-)
Great video! I'll be applying to several of the Boston area colleges in the coming months. It's not my favorite place in the world, but no one can deny that Boston is a world intellectual center.
Boston was my home town. Watching this video made me so homesick. I could recognize every street, every landmark, everything. But now I am forced to live in Tucson AZ. There are no landmarks. Nothing familiar. I just cant afford to live in my hometown anymore. How sad.
Thank you! Yeah, the traffic was a real pain on Mass Ave (as you saw in the video), but I had to film it since it's the cultural and shopping/restaurant hub of Cambridge. :-)
A perfect song, a perfect tour of what is perhaps the intellectual center of the world, and just a great overall production from start to finish. You have any other videos from the streets of Boston in the works?
I like making night videos more, too. But, I wanted to change it up a bit and do a street tour during the day since a lot of what I shot in the video isn't visible at night. In the near future, I'll have plenty of more night videos coming, so stay tuned!
Wonderful job creating this video! Your dash cam is remarkably stable, great music and info as well! Kendall Square/MIT Subway Stop Tour - Cambridge, MA - MBTA Red Line - Geek Train
beautiful city. i used to go there with my father and shop at quincy market. They have nice boston bagels. But i'm more of a Brooklyn person. GO NYC!!!! I LOVE there thin crust pizza.
Quincy Market! You mean a block further, the North-End which you New Yorkers call it Little Italy, I believe that at Quincy Market you'd find lobsters and fish market also farmers sell fresh produce on Saturdays. GO PATS!
Great video!! Thank you!! Brings back LOTS of memories of my vacations in New England... I LOVE LOVE all of Boston even though it was a *#$&)#*$ for me to drive (got lost five thousand times LOL)!!!
Hi man, thanks for the videos. watched all of them haha. You are living my Dream.. Living in the U.S get in your car, and just drive around. wonderfull thanks!. Are you planning to make new videos?
How to get to know a city. Go during a quiet time and go for a 'joy' ride. Drive slowly ; paying attention to traffic signs. Even go for a straight ride up and down main street several times so you don't get lost. Do that several times until you get to know the main street and begin to get familiar with the landmarks. It will take years to really get to know a city. If you can't find your way out of a city to a highway, keep riding around in circles ; you will get their eventually. We're pretty good with signage in the east. Watch you gas gauge!
Going to Bos in December. Hate this music and seems to be driving incredibly fast - is traffic that fast there? Guess I’ll walk or ride a bike while there!
But, Harvard has amazing financial aid programs. If for example, a family makes less than $100,000/year tuition is free for anyone and everyone who meets that qualification.

The choice of music is overwhelming the viewing experience. One cant focus on how good the film is because they're being jolted by how jarring the music is.
I used to live in Cambridge (off of Mass. Ave.), and it's now a cesspool of uptight moonbats, nauseating political correctness, build-condos-on-any-remaining-lot-of-land, honking horns galore, and bad traffic. I try to stay out of Cambridge as long as possible, and go there only if necessary.
I miss Cambridge Street, Kendall, Porter and Central Squares, back in the eighties when I lived off Prospect Street, you're right, it was much nicer when Bill Weld was our Governor, a great Republican dude, and he's Cambridge resident as well, the city wasn't as liberal as it is nowadays. Ben Affleck grew up in there after all (Yuk)

Thank you, Luke! :-) Only you and several of the other freeway filmers would know and appreciate how much time we all put into our work.
I left Boston 2001,seeing your video makes me long to go back . THANKS for the memories. Boston Rocks
I used to live there, midway between Central and Harvard Squares. I miss it!
I lived on Prospect (in Central Sq area) in the late 80s. Worked on Mass Ave right around 3:20 mark. Loved this area -- it still looks very familiar.
Boston is probably my favorite city in the east. Thank you for the excellent downtown tour!
You could not have picked a better song to go with a better city. Great job.

Given that I am an avid walker I would love Boston.
Perfect execution of a classic Boston driving maneuver @2:18. I commend the driver.
Can't wait to go!! I'll be there this Dec!! Awesome vid!!
Absolutely love Boston with all my heart. It will always be my home away from home.

I really miss this place!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Boston is definitely an awesome city, but it is hell to navigate, personally. haha
Great video -- can see the "England" in New England when cruising through Cambridge. Just delightful.
Great work, would you believe in all the time I lived and visited New England I have never been here? thanks for the ride!
I miss this place, hopefully will be going to visit soon.
My daughter graduated from Emerson College, across the street from the common. Her sophomore dorm can be seen on the right at 7:10.

BOSTON! one of my favorite cities in the East!
That's the city to visit from Manchester CT to Boston!
Well, if you're ever in town again, a couple of great shoots would be The Seaport District and Comm Ave at night.
The song is listed at the end of the video.
My hometown. Great job with this one. Although I wouldn't have suggested going down Mass Ave, just for the traffic.
i was there and i miss that, love Boston CYTI
I really liked this vid. Thanks for the tour. I really like american cities.
And thanks for the new song now on my iTunes.

Thank you!
Where did you put the camera? How is the video so clear?

One day, I was a student at MIT, I wish I could go back again.
Seriously! That is my biggest gripe with Cambridge. Boston is one of the few cities that I loathe to drive in.
Nice city. Not a lot of advance notice of turning lanes, though.
It feels strange to look back and see how better things were... 9 years ago. Seesh.
Where is the kiosk in Harvard Square?

If I went to college in Cambridge would I need a car?
