Eurasian Bittern Call & Boom - Deep booming sound of a bittern calling from a wetland

- The sound of a Eurasian Bittern making booming calls from a wetland in Sweden. The deep booms of the male Eurasian Bittern can carry for several kilometres (you might need headphones or decent speakers to appreciate this sound to the full!). This call is made to advertise to female bitterns and also as a territorial call. Each 'song' is a series of 2-6 deep resonant booms, often preceded by a few softer gulping notes.
