Figwit was just an extra in Fellowship (played however by Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords) that got some internet attention. The name is an acronym from some thirsty fan that apparently stands for "Frodo Is Great, Who Is That?" when they were distracted by him in the Council of Elrond scene. In Return of the King they gave him a coupe lines.
However, the actor returned in The Hobbit to portray Lindir, an actual book character that may or may not be Figwit from the originals.

Wait he’s supposed to be 7’11, like I know he was known as Elendil the Tall and that Numenorans were generally taller but I didn’t grasp he was pushing 8 feet tall. Is that like in the extra legendariam stuff like book of lost tales and such?

cmon. it didnt got explained to well in the movie. It indeed was told but its a 5second explaination of the hole Númenóreans in a 4hours movie. Its unfair

Perhaps characters you don’t recognize should go at the bottom because leaving no impression is worse than leaving a bad impression.

I was listening video on the background while doing some translation in another app, but as soon as I heard that "Second breakfast!" I laughed so loud kkkk
Oh damn 2:59 kind of makes me sad, because it just make me realized no matter how much I recommend this trilogy to younger kids, they have no chance to watch it in the cinema like me. It's still so vivid in my memories how crazy good it feels in the cinema. The atmosphere was totally different from watching at home on a PC, which I did multiple times again after that.
I totally agree. I was dragged to the cinema to watch The Fellowship of the Ring, but by the end I was so hooked, I couldn't wait a year for the next movie. Sought out the book which in turn ignited a love for reading I didn't know I had lol 😁
Love the list, loved your impression. The reason they didn’t have any Nazgûl besides the witch king is probably cause he’s the only named Nazgûl in the films, in the books we get a name for one other which is Kamul the Easterling the second most powerful after the witch king but that’s about it cause during the War of the Ring he was busy either leading the forces of Sauron in the North against Erebor and Dale, or taking up residence in Dol Guldur and conducting the war against the Elves of Lothlorien and Mirkwood, one or the other, or maybe both I forget

Dunno how much you game but seeing how much you love the orcs, maybe check out the game, Middle Earth: Shadow of War! It's literally orcs with personalities the game!
I would also recommend Shadow of Mordor which is the first game and where the story begins, but if you're only in it for the orcs and not the story, Shadow of War just a better Shadow of Mordor.

More or less the way I would have ordered everything! Except I wouldn't have put so many damn orcs so high, lol. And I definitely would have put Shadowfax, Gandalf's horse, a lot higher.
Also, Sauron and the Eye are the same character!

Nice video. I would have liked to know how you are rating the Tiers tho. since it seemed that you switched up between good and evil and how interesting characters are (Gollum in the highest Tier and Wormtung under characters who have barely spoken a word. Keep up the great content tho :)

I'm totally with you on the movie rankings, but for some different reasons. In the LoTR movies The Two Towers diverged most from the books, so dips below the others, and the Hobbit movies were fun but I don't go out of my way to rewatch them. They diverge from the book a lot and at times seem more like a Disneyland ride.
He gave Elendil Isildur and Gil Galad fool of a took. 😳 😆
Hobbit and thorin are underrated, even some of the dwarves like balin, and bofur are super underrated. Real hobbit and LOTR fans know what I’m talking about when I say balin, and bofur specifically. They were super likeable and had very charming relationships with bilbo

Iron Fist, Thorin's cousin was Billy Connelly the Scottish Comedian. Thorin's line had to end because eventually Gimly's dad becomes king and why Gimly was sent as the representative of the dearves, to be part of the Fellowship of the ring.
You are very good at impressions if they were you and not exerpts if the actor's voices. It was hard to tell, as you went along. You should be a voice actor if they were you. Wow
S: Fellowship...A really good movie, compressed some events and characters from the books, but no outright changes
A: Two Towers, Return of the King...pointless changes to the plot, outright character assassination for Faramir and Frodo, and Super-Legolas!
C: Unexpected Journey...it was alright, Radagast and his rabbit sled was silly, and the fight in the goblin caves was pure "we can turn this into a video game"
F: Desolation and Battle...More video game/theme park ride advert with added Super-Duper-Legolas!

Celeborn is Galadriel's husband, and has only a few meagre lines LOTR.
Gimli and Legolas would be nowhere near my top ten. Gimli is there for comic effect and Legolas as a cheap action hero.
I’m one of the few people that believe the hobbit films shouldn’t be watched as the extended versions, the theatrical , non-extended version are the better way (in terms of pacing) imo

I thought the Hobbit movies got better with each one so I guess that's good but all 3 LOTR movies were just better as they told a more interesting story with more connection to the characters. After many watching's of LOTR, I have to give King the #1 spot for the drama, excitement and emotion but Fellowship takes #2 as it is just so damn exciting watching the whole discovery phase. Towers is great too but the others nudge it out to me.
Battle Of The Five Armies is an S it just brought the whole journey together perfectly obviously people were gonna die just sad that a full family line died together in battle

In my opinion return of the king is the best, in S tier, and then literally all the rest of the middle earth franchise movies are in A. In order probably for my personal favourites would be number 2: hobbit 1, then hobbit 3, then LOTR 2, then hobbit 2, then LOTR 3. But all pretty even at A. Still almost perfect. And then return of the king as the S tier movie

Fellowship of the Ring and The Unexpected Journey both served the same purpose as the Origin movies of the Marvel Universe. It was slow moving for many people, but it was the basis for understanding the next two movies. Imho this was the greatest film series of all time because of the consistency , thought, attention to detail that went into it. Although many movies are always criticized because the movie strays from the original books, They were great for those who never read the books, but still introduced people new to LoTR to them, and many have read the books after watching the films. The Return of the King was like the Avengers final film in that it brings closure to all the characters and story line. That's why it won all the Academy awards because the first 2 were like an incomplete story. The Hobbit was just stretched out from one book, so many of the storyline were from the appendices.
