That DX7 with the ventilator II is insane.

I could have tweaked it some more, but I'm glad you liked it.

DX7 and that Leslie sim, I could easily be tricked as it was Hammond sound, bravo

The Ventilator does a good job!

Nice! It was seeing / hearing the combination of a DX7mk1 and JX8P (and a Yamaha PS6100 for rhythm and accompaniment) in 1987 which convinced me that I need to get into this! This era of synths will never get boring !!

Cool! Vintage is not obsolete, just old 😛

JX8p... One of the most underrated polysynths in history

It is gaining. I still think it is the "no knobs & bad presets" that makes it hard for people. They are lazy 😬

It does. You can almost use any board before it and it will do "Hammond". It is the best simulator so far for what I do. 🤗

    Really nice playing.

Thank you. It was really an unplanned video so the playing is really just what bubbles out.

Great playing, love the organ sound. I prefer the D-50's organ sounds myself though. JX is a fantastic analog synth!

      Thanks!
I was thinking of going to use a D50 instead of the JX, but it does not have that analog punch.

    Hello from France 🙂
Very very nice job with this synths 😃
What presets do you use on the DX7 at 3:15, 3:45, and all of the time when you don't play organ sounds ?
    Thanks for your answer 😉

Oh. I wish I could tell you. basically some patches I found online. But it is always dual sound so no single.
Sorry for my lack of wisdom on this 😬😂

JX-3/8P are better than they look! - with a programmer. Too bad those are so rare, since they unlock their true power.
Not a fan of using synthesizers as organs, and not creating interesting sounds. Rock bands, musicians and users never programmed them, and I think it's a shame. Bread and butter until the end of time. 😢
Nothing against you. Not for me I guess.

Needed the A/B output and the controls of the mk 2. Did'nt want to bring the DX5 on tour.
