I love the story .. two men wander in .. tell the heroes we are stealing this woman and then they wander aimlessly around a military base laughing and running away from the protagonists. Better than game of thrones
Here's the plot for those who don't understand what's going on: The story opens up with three hostages: A female Federal Witness named Ms. Boléro and two *Super Rangers* named Toccata and Fugue (which is what I call them). They are locked in a dark prison cell with only a table, chairs, and doors. All of a sudden these two International Terrorists goons who imprisoned them both walk in the cell wearing disguises of the F16 Air Force Troops that they slaughtered and decided to kidnap the Federal Witness as punishment for the three refusing to talk throughout the interrogation. The two Super Rangers escape the cell after getting guns by luring in two other goons who were standing guard outside of the cell, they then start running 'n gunning every other Terrorist in all 10 areas of the pillaged US Military Base to rescue the valuable witness before they lower her into the gateway to Hell that the goons had opened.
i played this game and i somehow never noticed till just now that ive rediscovered this game that the sprites were completly ripped from rolling thunder
Don't think I've seen a more blatant rip off of a game that wasn't a rom hack ever. The animations are almost a pixel perfect copy of Rolling Thunder's. I will give 'em credit for having more stages.
you've obviously not played the arcade games from Italian publisher Electronic Devices! they've one (Galaxy Gunners) that's a str8-rip of Jaleco's "Exerion" and another, which name I can't recall right now, that apes "Alien Breed" for PC in all except name! their only truly great game was "Mug Smashers" and even that was a (mostly sound and character asset) rip-off of both Combatribes & in lesser extent Double Dragon 2!
I remember seeing a copy under the name Rough Rangers. This is definitely the same one. Yes, I believe this was a South Korean nigh rom-hack of Rolling Thunder...
