This Priest he have a similar face like Brother E.V Miranda who is our ex- Principal of St. Edmund College Shillong during a year 1997 in northeast India. St. Edmund college is run by Jesuits society.
Let's sing with fervent feeling: 1. Pange lingua gloriosi Corporis mysterium, Sanguinisque pretiosi, Quem in mundi pretium Fructus ventris generosi, Rex effudit gentium. 2. Nobis datus, nobis natus Ex intacta Virgine Et in mundo conversatus, Sparso verbi semine, Sui moras incolatus Miro clausit ordine. 3. Amen!
My favorite! I love this soo much! (When my husband heard this, he started to cry and sang with You together. These latin hymns remembering him his home and his childhood...) G'od bless You!
This reminds me of the Catholic Church before Vatican 2 after which this wonderful Latin hymn almost disappeared. I think I have heard it sung at Benediction just 4 times since 1970 - what a calamity it has been for someone my age - I am 78.
If you have a parish that offers the true Roman Rite (the Mass of St. Pius V) they will sing the Tantum ergo (last two verses) at Benediction and the Pange lingua on Maundy Thursday and the External Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
1. Pange lingua gloriosi Corporis mysterium, Sanguinisque pretiosi, Quem in mundi pretium Fructus ventris generosi, Rex effudit gentium. 2. Padre... Bendiciones.👼
The beautiful gift to you of your outstanding voice and talent is your gift back to Our Lord in glorifying him and bringing many listeners close to God in such a deep way. Thank you Father. God Bless you always.
Perfect God given voice that lifts our hearts to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks you Father for your excellence in bringing us so close to Our Lord and taking giving of yourself in your Vocation.
Why are people asking if this is SSPX? I'm confused. This song is beautiful, and his voice does it justice. Thank you so much for posting all of these!
Not to be Italian, impeccable pronunciation of ecclesiastical Latin. Great voice, wide range, good rhythm and melody. Respect for the Holy tradition. Congratulations Reverend Priest. You, however, forgive me my bad English... Sorry... I follow your TH-cam channel.
This hymn is even more special now, although usually heard only during Holy Week, on Holy Thursday to be exact. I am 74 years old and was once in a Franciscan monastery where it was often sung but not weekly. I loved the Latin Mass, too, but Jesus neither spoke Latin nor English. The vernacular Mass and its music is also sacred.
Maria - Inglewood, Ca.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I listen to you often and it so good and brings me so close to Our Lord. God Bless you always. So good of you to make all these wonderful contributions.
Beautiful! Author Susan Mellott Dolan of Ten Men and a Road for Pope to be sainted, as Edith Stein and all of WW11 and all will be hopefully, when we lift this. You keep singing!-Sue
It reminds me my childhood days. I still remember my headmaster thatha and kempu thatha and others singing this in 92 s. Though we dont understand we enjoyed it. At valarpuram church. Now here we do not hv in latin. I miss those happy days.
Viva a Santa Igreja...
I love it. So beautiful, thank you for this recording Father! God bless.
Thanks Father, I am an Arab catholic and was trying to find this hymn in Arabic, but in Latin its even better
Wish I could learn gregorian chant, whish I could be a priest
Why can't You?
Voz espectacular la de Erick... felicitaciones!
Hermoso canto. ¡Gracias, padre!
Hermosa interpretación, infinitas bendiciones.
I was at his ordination.
Great man.
God bless you.Dziekuje serdecznie.
Thank you Father. Beautiful. Thank you....

We sing it at every Benediction at the parish where I attend Holy Hour, though they use a different melody.

Im 38 and it has been a calamity for me also.

Do you have the anima christi similar pace as the pange lingua?
Great video for teaching this ancient chant! Thank you.

I see this was recorded 10 years ago! Who is this singing so nicely? His accent sounds genuinely Italian...
Thank you for this delight! so beautifully sung...

@ILikeToBeCatholic in 4 years? i doubt it. probably a seminarian or a religious brother
Praised be Jesus Christ. Do you have a priest or seminarian only. I am a Pole. I was an altar boy serving the Traditional Latin Mass. God bless you.

bravissimo, in puro latino
Beautifully Holy so amazingBrings me to my knees I’m so blessed and so grateful to hear this sung with such love!
Que voz é essa? Muito bom, muito bom.
Gregoriano

Yes, Eric's singing is beautiful!
One of my favorite hymns.
Not SSPX.....Not FSSP.....ICKSP, or simply a traditional Catholic?
Is this suitable to be sung during the Holy Mass, or is it only for Eucharistic adoration?
Grazie
So very well done!
I really find it so uplifting at this very sad time for the family and me. I listen to it over and over.
Thats why this song in some churches is used during Lent and/or used in the Stations of the Cross.
so beautiful. inspiring. up lifting.
Muito bom! Musica que eleva a alma!
Beautiful and inspiring !
