Sadly I don't remember the taste, but all I know is that I liked it! Definetly in the top spots of the weirdest things I've ever eaten
My dad had pufferfish on a business trip to Japan He said it isn't worth it. It tastes very similar to a mild whitefish (ex grouper ) and is disappointing taste for how expensive it is... People just eat it for the thrill of it being dangerous...you aren't missing anything if you don't want to risk it
So the price included: 1. Chef's skills and 3 years of training for just one fish dish 2. Experience and exploration of cuisine Other than that, it isn't worth it if one seek for delicious meal.
I agree with your dad, I had Fugu in Osaka in a licensed restaurant that served me like 5 different ways of eating it (sashimi, deep fried, maki, hot pot) and the flavor was very mild. Not super expensive but not cheap either. Cool.for the experience but the flavor was meh
There are also now a lot of non-toxic farmed fugu. The fish produces tetrodotoxin from microorganisms they eat in the wild, so if their diet is controlled they'll be safe to eat. So if you just want to try it without risking death, that's the way to go. It's cheaper too, because most of the price of the original is to guarantee the chef's skill. I had fugu as 100 yen conveyor belt sushi. It was meh.
There is something about your vids that is beautiful. Its brief, direct, very excessive, inaccurate details in the artworks😭😭 and im all for it, much appreciated ❤🎉
There is actually a way to detect and avoid death after eating improperly prepared Fugu. The way to identify if it is not prepared correctly is if you put it to your lips and they begin to go numb. You can also eat activated charcoal beforehand to neutralize the poison when it reaches your stomach.

I'd like to point out that in Thailand Larb is normally cooked meat, I've never heard or eaten Larb with raw meat, except for Northern part of Thailand (Northern Larb), not north eastern region adjacent to Laos. It's actually Koi Khom (Bitter Meat) that's served raw. Koi Kohm uses raw meat (beef, if it's pork then it'll be boiled first) then toss with spices, greens, and lastly animal's bile for its signature bitter taste. Some region mixes in beef to duck blood too. Also, calling anything originating in any specific country in South East Asia will cause an internet war since most of our history has a shared and messy ancestry, people like to claim things.
Laab itself are very umbrella term for SEA food that prepared by certain roughly common ingredients and how to prepare it. @@SiminaInest Like I pointed out in my comment. SEA countires have a lot of shared history and culture but can still varied a lot like Thailand's North Eastern-Laos adjacent Laab are normally cooked meat while Northern region uses raw beef.
There's this indigenous dish in Brazil called "Maniçoba" it's made out of yuca leaves and needs to be cooked for 7 days to be edible as the leaves have hydrocyanic acid which is highly poisonous. It's safe to eat as long as it's cooked for the right amount of days, it's added some kind of protein to it (like pork, beef or other smoked and savory ingredients) and is served with rice, yuca flour and peppers. But I wonder how they found out it needed to be cooked for exactly 7 days to be eaten 😮💨
I feel like octopuses should be on the endangered list at this point. There should be atleast some law to protect them. I just can't imagine that someone would actually willingly eat a live animal. It's animal torture, and it's cruel and awful and I'm really sad to hear that this exists.
We really should be better if we want to consider ourselves the apex animal on this earth ... It's wrong to unnecessarily torture something just for fun.
the octopus cant feel pain because it will already be dead. And its more like a squid then a octopus and its not endangered as far as i know. for the moving part, its the muscle that is moving not because its alive😭
bro stop calling it cruel since u cant understand another countries’ culture. the octopus is not alive and its tentacles are just reacting towards other stuff like soy sauce due to their intelligent nerves.
I'm Korean and had larb, sannakji, and fugu. Larb is like a tangy salad with bloody paste depending on the meat (I had it with raw beef). Sannakji is like a chewy eraser dipped in sesame oil. Fugu tastes like white fish (like cod), nothing special. I would argue those nuclear fire chicken noodles are more dangerous because no matter how professionally prepared it is, you'd still be in pain. My friend had it for an eating competition and he can't stop farting, it's opened up his anus permanently.
How is eating octo any worse than eating fish, chicken, cows and pigs @ everyone calling OP monsters? What about squid? Have a problem with that? Most octos are not eaten alive, obviously, not many people are willing to do that. Have eaten sannakji many times along with other octopus dishes and it's no different from squids
At 5:00 Anyone who watches The Boys will remember the scene where The Deep was forced to eat a live octopus whole. It was even worse than usual because the octopus in question was his personal friend (and possible lover). I've also heard of people eating live octopus in Korea.

Na
that's the beauty of it
Love this channel. GLAD i found it. Very informative.
Just wanna say i love how you get straight into the video without a big unnecessary intro. Good stuff 👍
Trial and error.
tava esperando ver esse prato na lista e.e
@@vrtualpwppygwrlcarne da cação ( carne de tubarão altamente proibida e venenosa ) deveria estar na lista também .
*_"All safety standards are written in blood..."_*
That is not what the endangered animals list is for
Um...being eaten alive is simply what any other animal out there does. The thing is just that we as humans can do better than that
the octopus cant feel pain because it will already be dead. And its more like a squid then a octopus and its not endangered as far as i know. for the moving part, its the muscle that is moving not because its alive😭
bro stop calling it cruel since u cant understand another countries’ culture. the octopus is not alive and its tentacles are just reacting towards other stuff like soy sauce due to their intelligent nerves.
ive had a horrible night and your content was very uplifting and fun. thank you for the cheer. Best of luck to you and yours.
My friend had it for an eating competition and he can't stop farting, it's opened up his anus permanently.
lol i would rather take the live octopus then the fire chicken,
Monster
Goddamn, Imagine trying to get a girlfriend over.
@@cruze_the Right? Can't believe these people are proud of animal torture. Truly savage.
3:14 why is he blushing 😭
It looks like the worm is a... um, male private body part...

At 5:00 Anyone who watches The Boys will remember the scene where The Deep was forced to eat a live octopus whole. It was even worse than usual because the octopus in question was his personal friend (and possible lover). I've also heard of people eating live octopus in Korea.
There's a memorable scene in the movie Old Boy as well
@@angrym0nkeysh0w Even though I haven't seen it, I've heard of that scene.

I love this channel. Between jumping right into the topic, to the animations/artwork. Everything is top notch
Omg I just LOVE your videos so much! It mixes interesting information with humor in such a genious way, the really serious tone of your voice added to the hilarious and creative drawings and animation... and it's interesting to see how you depict so well how people become when infected by some illness or whatever other bisarre thing may happen to them, I laugh HARD! Thanks for bringing this content to the world! ✨
I LOVE your animation style its funny and goofy everytime
There is a food in the North of Brazil called "Maniçoba" it is made from cassava leaves which are poisonous, this dish is boiled for a few days, one day less of boiling can kill a poisoned person, but other than that it is very tasty :)
Yeah, I was thinking about this food when I saw the title, I'm hoping he'll talk about it in another video.
the art keeps getting better and better
Dude really accidentally left cheese on the shelf, then instead of throwing it away he decided to sell it.. *SUCCEEDING* doing so! 💀

Can we all agree that this guy makes the best of these new kinds of videos
Yes
It’s definitely a good inspired Sam o nella account
9:52 "my nephew"💀💀💀
Your comment appeared in the perfect moment and it was so funny omggg
5:07 1,000 Ways to Die had a death about this. As you can imagine, he choked from the octopus because of the suction blocking the airway.
Every time this channel uploads, i know i'm gonna just sit there and enjoy some comical but educational video. Thanks for the content!
No one can reach Sam O‘Nella, but this man gets pretty close
That’s what I was thinking 😂
Nah this guy is just as good
He's no Sam O'Nella, but he is Good Enough... I'll show myself out.
You could say he’s “good enough”
Not a competition let them co exist
i love how straightforward these videos are
The way he included his nephew among animals😭🤣👍 this guy never get us bored with an informative video like that❤
As an Italian dude my grandpa ate Casu Martzu, he paid 200 bucks for a small piece and he said that it was great (btw I love your videos:))
So this is far from the first stick art YT channel ive come across, but it is certainly the best at depicting gross stuff. I love it.
this is my first day of watching this dude ive been watching him for like 2 hours now by far my favorite channel on this platform
One of the most enjoyable animations available for human consumption
This guy makes the most interesting videos and is the only person to make me shiver WITH AN ANIMATION
Your videos always been great and i noticed a lots improvement on this one! You really worked on it! Keep up the amazing work that you are doing ❤
Here since 100K. I love this channel.
I’m so glad he uploaded again, I was seeing so many accounts copying his style/format the past few weeks I’ve been worried his channel would get buried. Good Enough does this the best
Congrats to the meteoric growth! I had no idea your channel was this new but keep it up man, you're killing it
Dude, the bits during the video are great! Idk if its a new thing or I just didn't notice in the previous videos, but the sense of humor is perfect and adds a lot to the video lmao, keep at it!
I enjoyed this as usual, though I m surprised fungi n insects didn't figure among the list of deadliest foods.
Its actually insane how quickly this guy blew up
It's amazing that he just got popular with just FIVE VIDEOS! I guess he really is good enough to make videos after all!
9:06 Why the hell would you do this?! This is straight up murder! It would be easier to just sell the damn salmon, or sell literally any other fish meat as salmon!
That's the point, it's a straight up Incident.
Are you high or something?
5:45 anybody else getting the boys flash back with the deep
Haha... R.I.P timmothy 😂
His stick figures have a charm to them! You could say drawing stick figures is not hard and you're right, it isn't, but because of that, people manage to give them their own flair and personality. I enjoy his gross out drawings very much, because I can tell he is having a good time with them too.
He may be a Sam O'nella-like, but his style separates it from Sam. I think "stick figure factoid channel" is in itself a niche, now.
As a Thai, seeing Larb being considered more deadly than a literal maggot cheese deeply offend me.
Its bc you know that you are getting into with the cheese, not with Larb
Don’t tell your precious king I said that because then they might execute you.
@@darklordsauron3415 ??? And larb is never eaten raw, I don't know what the dude is talking about. It's like claiming all hamburgers are eaten raw, it's just not true.

You have the best videos, I'm always excited when you release one.
People who eat live animals are awful :( at least put the poor thing out of its misery first. Especially something as sentient as an octopus 😞
THEY ARE NOT ALIVE
I love watching videos like this while i eat
In my experience with the live octopus dish, ususlly people cut individual legs off to eat it more manageably. The 'eating the whole thing at once' trend is mainly from the movie Oldboy
And from the boys
I found this channel on the first video, its insane how popular this channel became.
bro i love how this man just came out of nowhere and has already blown up we love to see it
