Cleveland Ohio Temple Groundbreaking Ceremony

Elder Vaiangina Sikahema, First Counselor in the North America Northeast Area Presidency, presided at the groundbreaking of the Cleveland Ohio Temple on June 1, 2024.
“So many of you are pioneers in this area and have made this day possible, and we thank you,” Elder Sikahema said to gathered community leaders and Church members.
During the dedicatory prayer, Elder Sikahema expressed gratitude for the early Latter-day Saints who gathered in Kirtland, Ohio, when the Church of Jesus Christ was “in its fledgling infancy” and “not yet a year old.”

Wow, I am so thankful for TH-cam I got to watch a Temple get started in my home state. I am from Columbus Ohio now living in Houston Texas. It was heart warming to see and the walls of that Temple be built. May God Bless y'all. Congrats

Yahoo! Ohio! I remember back in the day when it was a 16 Hour drive to Chicago which was the closest temple. So happy there’s a temple in Ohio!

I'm going to the open house and I'm taking my dad and my cousin Arbury with me. This is my dad's and Arbury's mission and when I get there I'm touring Kirkland and experience I never got to do because the RLDS closed the gates when I got there but I did go in the store and thats what counts.
