    GREAT VIDEO! Definitely showcased the fact that Rokon is in a class by itself. That's exactly why I bought my Mototractor. It's nice to get to places others can't. The Logging in the area just promised you wouldn't have bikes around.Glad to hear you aired those tires down. Keep putting out those videos showing your Rokon in Tuff spots like down timber Thanks again.

    Great video. Bummer they destroyed your trail like that. Rokon is in a class by itself. The company makes all kinds of accessories for it. Don't know if I'll ever get to own one but it's on my bucket list. I might go for the street legal model they are making now.

    I've got both the Tw200 and a 2 stroke rokon, the tw200 is better for logging roads and distances but the rokon is unstoppable

    Im only mentioning this because you first mentioned the Suron. Look up the UBCO 2x2 utility bike. It needs a little weight up front so the front wheel doesnt spin but thats an easy fix.

  • @BillySBC
    @BillySBC ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting. I have a TW200 and I would say it is 70 percent of what a Rokon is offroad, but a Rokon is zero percent of what a TW200 is on-road because it's not an on-road vehicle. So between the two I would suggest... hmm... owning both of them. Hope this helps.

  • @MrTomjolly

    Where are you out of? I just found a Rokon for sale and was thinking of picking it up. I love offroading. I have a g310gs with a rally raid suspension that has been great in the woods. also had an xt225 that was incredible. These 2wd must be a cut above. Is the suspension a back killer or are you somewhat paddling with your feet on the rough areas and lessening the vertebrae damage???

    • @ThrottleWorks
      @ThrottleWorks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm out in North Idaho and the lack of rear suspension isn't bad as long as you are not dropping off rock ledges lol I tend to paddle the bike a little when it's in low gear and climbing but otherwise I can typically sit or stand through most sections

    I got a TW and they both have their pros and cons against each other but for purely off-road purposes I'd put my money on the Rokon any day. The TW only goes about 20-30 mph faster and is street legal so that's nice but when you are going up some serious sh*t the two wheel drive would be the best.

    I know the Rokon is not about speed, but I would like someone to do an engine modification on the Kohler engine, as I don't think I have seen it done yet. I have seen billet flywheel and cams for the Kohler engine. Remove the governor and see if it can rev to 5000 in 3rd gear and maybe it can hit 50mph. It might also widen the speed range in all gears for more utility. Is this something you can try?

    • @ThrottleWorks
      @ThrottleWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Adding speed and power have been on my "to dos" for a while now lol so finding the best way to make it happen will definitely be in the future. I also have been checking into the billet flywheel and cams too so stay tuned because it will definitely be tested! And thanks for watching!

    • @bootsnthejeep
      @bootsnthejeep ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dude, 50MPH on one of these things would be like having your head on fire. These are tractors. A tractor going fast is janky as hell. Bordering on terrifying. Equally terrifying as trying to mingle with 50 mph traffic in something that tops out at 30--35, yeah, I agree. I really don't think you can have it both ways.

    • @elainesrottenbottom296
      @elainesrottenbottom296 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be like doing 90mph in a Wrangler. Sketchy & you realize it's a bad idea as soon as try it.

      @@elainesrottenbottom296 Very true. I am picturing all the chains flying off. I was also thinking the 5000rpm top end would provide more MPH range in 1st and 2nd gear. Perhaps increasing the utility.

    Some timber sales are now require the logging company to DE-CONSTRUCT all roads by the conclusion of their contract. It’s a new insidious way to reduce and eliminate motorized sports on our public lands (and some private).

    I have a 20221 rokon trail breaker and a 1988 Yamaha big wheel 350. I wish they would breed the two bikes and give us the offspring of the beasts, Yamaha goes almost as good as rokon with more power, suspension and even a wider tire than the rokon, problem is it's hard to get parts for b.w. 350
