Thank you for helping to point things like this out, it is so easy for not so experienced people to believe what is shown and try it themselves. Good video!
YESS we're in need of another person who educates people on not being animal abusers (crazy that people have to learn that). I dont even interact o horsetok because of this issue, i typically go straight to my following tab.
I HATE when horses pull back - it literally makes me want to cry… I had my rescue filly tied up, she had been tied multiple times before but had a moment that time. I had her in a rope halter because I was just tying her up then going to go work with her… she freaked out and pulled back and literally broke the pole I had her tied to and it whacked me right in the head. She ended being perfectly fine but ever sense then she had been very tense in her poll and always head high, we worked a lot on releasing to pressure on the poll by me just putting my hand there and squeezing or pulling down on the halter - she’s gotten so much better and hasn’t freaked out like that in a whole year! I also have a 2 y/o and one time she was tied up and so was everyone else but my mom was putting hay out, she’s very food motivated and loves food (it’s gotten better but it can still be a problem) and I was standing by her but she pulled back and slammed into the wall while I was standing there and it like totally scratched my legs up. I just hate seeing horses pull back, it’s not funny nor is it training. I hardly ever hard tie my horses anymore because it’s just a genuine fear now…
Okay so most people are just trying there best for there horses yes there are some very horrible people that treat there horses badly but we need to just understand that everyone is trying there best and it truly depends on how they were trained with horses the last horses looks like he or she had just gotten a bath
I have a mare who had a sample taken by the vet from a lump on her throat (she is fine btw-just her old-lady thyroid) using a 19G needle by restraining her with....lucerne hay 😅 and I DO train with cookies haha

You are so right, it can be so dangerous and I don’t understand why people still do it and then get mad at the horse 😭
