I bought this record by mistake in 1971....thought it was something else...after that...just could not stop listening to it!!! It was BATMAN all over again!...has not ended since.
@BarbaraJaneP ...You are one Lucky woman! One of my favorite Elton Albums! Pure ENERGY! Have seen Elton dozens of times since the early 70's. But would have given my eye teeth to see him perform this live!
omG! How could it have been SO LONG since I listened to this??? I own the vinyl, and listened to this SOOOO much as a kid! My second ever record that I owned (at 14). Captain Fantastic was the first (with that original awesome book insert). Elton, for reason initially of this very recording (11-17-70),and all the Elton subsequent, was the hugest influence on my life and playing piano, and hence, my own career now. That, and I attribute ALL of life to God. I'm blessed =) Thanks for posting!
@slimjimsimmy ahahah that's because it was performed in a studio in front of only 1 hundred ppl!! but it's an extremely great show, buy the album 17.11.70, you won't regret..
