Rare version of this beautiful song, played Live in 1974 by the EJ band (Nigel Olsson, Dee Murray, Davey Johstone, Ray Cooper) Nice "old" sound, nostalgic tune.

Some days before the famous concert in NY, Elton John, Dee Murray and Nigel Olsson were performing at the Fillmore in S.Francisco. Great sound!

Que lindo!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Throught all the nonsense, it's too easy to forget how god damn god he was.
👌
Also in my "Elton covers.." playlist with the original.
今から50年以上前の映像だね。豊かな南仏の映像とトロけるようなエルトンの音楽が本当に素敵な映画でした。私はクロコダイルロックで知った歌手ですが、衝撃を受けた事を思い出しました。
Never saw the movie...and I have tried.I hear it's worth the watch though.
A week after "11/17/70".
I'm 60 years on and been a fan for decades. My song.
Nigel, Elton and the fantastic Dee Murray. I've been a fan for so long I feel comfortable using their first names like they are family. They have been with me through my entire life from age 12 up.
Pock me up or pilot soon😊
Hate to say this but Elton Rohn actually does this better today than Elton did in 1974
Miss prissy has one Good album and thinks she is queen B this is ma fuckin' ELTON JOHN !!!!
이곡 찿기힘든곡인데 들려주어서 감사합니다.
Great Stuff
This is before pro tools too people! What talent.
Just amazing....makes me cry after thousends of times I ve heard it over fifty years...wow

Different from the album sounds like a demo
Different from the sound Track I like it
Stunning, such artistry.
Simplesmente Elton JOHN Brazilllll
What a beautiful movie “Friends” was‼️ It was very underrated both musically and cinematically.
Who the hell is this guy? Was this an actual 3 piece band. 22 -23 year old kid. I call BS on this.
LOVE IT ! ! !
Is this from the Filmore East in NYC or the Fillmore West in SF, CA?
I think this is better then any other I’ve heard
This is the troubadour audio! It matches perfectly
Thank you for this video
Amazing
This is the first I’ve heard this concert. Followed him since Troubadour. Seen him 5-6 times. Check out his concert 1976 Edinburg . Elton at his finest.
At 00:30 I wonder who says “cool uh”? 😊
Gus Dudgeon while he´s showing this. Check the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 2001 DVD release. Many jewels inside...
@@1982RMT Wow, cooooool !!
That’s my name.....😳
Jesus, this is my favorite version now.
Love this track! But Elton has missed a greatest hits opportunity here by not releasing- "Songs from the Closet"
this was the beginning of a 5 year streak of gold from Elton. 2 or 3 albums a year. Every song memorable and moving.
The original demo is more or less this. I don't really like the studio version much -- I think the arrangement there took away the power of the song. The live 1970 version is the definitive one!
They never got the praise they deserved for everything they added to Elton's songs.
Bad Side Of The Moon (Live At The Royal Festival Hall)
Rarely performed
The backup vocals were so essential 🥺
This is great!! We need more of this videos!! I would love to find more on this guys and any studio recordings for Eltons music. I love their harmonies in Rocket Man. Thanks for sharing.
i hate to say but i like the movie versions of the songs more than the actual album versions
AWESOME!!!
He is so honesty
Fantastic!!!!!
I'M ALWAYS AMAZED AT ELTON JOHN, I LOVE THIS
One of Elton’s best title. I am wondering why they did not play it after this performance!
I hope more people will explore Elton's magnificent, unequalled catalogue of songs, with many hidden treasures surpassing various famous hits
This is badass!!!
I was blessed to be born on this day merely hours before this recording. What a blessing from Uncle Elton!
