  • This tutorial uses Marvelous Designer Version 9.5 and may have different interface and tools than you have in your version. Marvelous Designer Shirring Principle
In this course, we will look at the different of shirring shapes per fabric.
In addition to the wrinkles generated by the default fabric, there are various types of wrinkles, such as narrow wrinkles and wide wrinkles.
You can get the wrinkles you want by adjusting the Detail items of Fabric Property, but it is difficult for beginners.
But if you understand differences of each fabric and how it forms wrinkles differently, you can create various styles of wrinkles easily.

awesome video and very informative. SO essentially, we should be doing "remeshing" whenever we sim to get smoother wrinkles? quads are better than triangles for simming here? I always thought the opposite, but my wrinkles look much much better when i do remesh and put a low particle distance.

tris will always be better than quads for accurate cloth simulation. which means remeshing at the end of your pipeline. but if you are LIKING how it looks with quads and remeshing, that is up to artistic choice if its not hindering you.

I am using i9 9900k and RTX 2060. I am worried about CPU and GPU simulation when I choose to use layers. Looking forward to some TIP for free parameter change that controls wrinkle texture and impact. I am the user for game character creation.

CAN YOU PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT GPU SIMULATION COLLISION PROBLEM. ITS NOT AS GOOD AS CPU

yes, GPU-Version seems only it kinda "approach" the simulation, while CPU does fully simulate
