Hello! Loved your piggie content and totally here for the nature/bird content too! Some IDs for the birds: 4:47 is house sparrow (female), 5:16 dark-eyed Junko , 6:21 in the middle with black 'beard' house sparrow (male), 7:47 house sparrows (Female, male, female, female), 14:35 white-throated sparrow, 14:58 (winter?) wren. I saw someone say sparrows are song sparrows but judging by beak color and pale unstripped bellies, along with the male house sparrow being so friendly to share alongside, house sparrows are my guess. Along with house sparrows being way more common in US. The last bird is definitely a wren but we don't get wrens often were I am so winter wren is best guess, possibility of it being a Carolina wren though. Others feel free to correct me though! I would recommend downloading a app called "Merlin". It IDs bird calls, so it helps with IDing species! Youll be able to tell them apart in no time with the app! The species list in the app also tells you which species are more commonly seen in your area at certain times of year. Happy birding!
Love that your back and bird watching! ❤️ so incredibly sorry for your losses. Early this year I lost my 9 year old Guinea pig to a tumor around her heart. Sending virtual hugs your way. Happy holidays ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It is hard to lose a pet, I lost my last boy last March. I can't bring myself to adopt another pig because I don't wanna go through that pain and stress of when they get sick so I've been fostering guinea pigs for 6 months now!
Love the birdies. The dark with white bird is a dark eyed Junco, they're fiesty and fun to watch. The ones that were on the rock look like sparrows, white throat, house, and / or white crown, not absolutely sure. A great addition to your area would be a large hanging platform feeder for to attract larger seed eaters, and suet for woodpeckers and nut hatches. If you add dried meal worms you'll attract the worm eaters and its a good source of protein for the birds. Another great addition would be to grow bittersweet. It's a native vine to the east coast that produces beautiful red berries. We have success with burning bush as well. You can get little heaters for the birdbath, it makes you very popular with wildlife during freezing cold snaps. Don't worry about the hawks. There are birds surrounding the feeding area on watch for predators. They will sound the alarm if danger appears. The only thing I would caution is Starlings. A flock will come in and wipe out all the food. Not much you can do except scare them away, but they will dtop in on occasion. Have fun with it I always have.
In March of 2023, I acquired 2 orphaned baby squirrel brothers. They still live in my bedroom lol! I went from being a horse & G-piggie mommy to a horse & squirrel mommy 🥰🐿🐿🐴 Since they arrived, I've been religiously feeding and watering all of the outside squirrels and birds (and opossums) year round. It's WONDERFUL!!!! So seeing that you've also gotten into feeding nature, it has me SUPER excited for you and your videos and all of those lucky birds (and hopefully squirrels soon🤞😂)!
Omg i love me some squirrels! I have rescued a few over the years but would drop them off with rehabbers within 48 hours usually. Same with some baby opossums i saved from their mom’s pouch (she had got hit by a car), and 2 orphaned baby deer. Ugh they were so fucking cute. If I didnt live in the city I would be keeping all of these animals and Josh would be singing a different tune! lol. You gotta send me photos of your squirrel babies on my personal IG.
That first dark grey bird is a Dark-eyed junco! Edit: Just got a little farther into the video, those little brown birds are Song Sparrows and then the one with the white stripe down he middle of the head and the white under the beak is a white-throated sparrow. I completely understand them being hard to tell apart. My college ornithology professor called them the "LBB's" or the "Little Brown Birds" because, especially the females, of a lot of sparrow and finch species found in the US can look very similar! It may take some practice but you'll be able to spot them at a glance in no time!
I went from three piggies to two this year. I lost my 5 year old to heart disease/hyperthyroidsm in September. My other piggie just had surgery yesterday to remove a bladder stone. When my two are gone, I'm not going to get any more guinea pigs.
God works in mysterious ways. We r on one path and then life happens and then we r on another. Nature has a healing power. We r all broken but animals give us joy and make our hearts happy!
Sorry about your losses. It's hard to lose a pet. The little birds are sparrows. Glad to see you guys back. ❤
Sarah, I love you and Josh's relationship! You guys are perfect together.

As a fellow bird watching enthusiast (and lover of squirrels) I really enjoyed this video lol
Oh thank you!!! That is actually really nice to hear from a fellow enthusiast!!! Appreciate you!!!💜
You ARE a TH-camr, it's not about knowing how to use and direct the camera it's about the storytelling and entertaining.. Which you do very well!
You are so nice to say that! I guess I should say im not the talent behind making the videos :)
Thanks for sharing your Guinea pig journey with us! It’s been really fun to watch!
