- Hello everyone 🤍
Episode 9 is a very special one-it’s the first "piano meditations" session with a guest. I’m joined by my dear friend Leander on Handpan, and together we explore an improvisation based on a beautiful melody Leander brought to the session.
Playing with someone else in this space was a new and deeply inspiring experience. The connection between piano and handpan felt like a conversation, weaving two voices into one shared story. Leander’s grounded, flowing rhythm created a peaceful foundation for me to build on, and together we let the music unfold naturally.
I hope this session brings you as much calm and connection as it did for us while playing it. Thank you for listening and for sharing this journey with us. 🙏🖤🤍
What do you feel while listening?
Does the dialogue between the instruments resonate with you?
Piano: Michael Geldreich
Handpan: / leanderhandpan
(Leander plays an E Amara Handpan by Ayasa Instruments, originally tuned in 440 Hz, but I tuned it down after the recording)

I wonder how the experience of recording an instrument in 440 and another in 432 at the same time. Maybe you could release a version with the handpan in its original tuning
Hey there! Everything was recorded in 440 and afterwards tuned to a different frequency 🙌🏼
