The first part was actually meant to be part of Silhouette, if I'm not mistaken. Something went wrong while mixing the record, apparently. Awesome that you're loving most of Opeth's old tracks. You had a miss with Nectar, but all other songs from that record are absolutely amazing. To Bid You Farewell would be a great next one 🙂

idk if anyone said yet , but the first segment was supposed to be be part of the previous song requiem, but they had some ghetto set up to this album considering Mike was only 19 at the time. But this was how it was released.

You are definitely at the end if the Opeth rabbit hole but u have to admit what a journey. I'm a long time Jethro Tull and Rush fan but Opeth blew me away.

I think it worked out in the songs favor for sure, it wouldn't be nearly the same otherwise imo
First part was supposed to be the continuation of Requeim. However mixing was screwed up.
