Well, tbh because back then rouge was a another way to milk the franchise while using same engine... And poorly storyline to relate to unity. They probably wanted to make another ezio trilogy, with rouge being ground zero of the colonial brotherhood. At the times, to many ppl raged over unity bugs and glitches. Of course rouge will be dragged into the mess too. But I guess tday ac game are at the worst for milking their game... Like for real.... they really forced micros in a single player game. Hahahaha

@@Gu5A2 well it's okay, it atleast playable unlike unity in launch day. Lol I played Rouge before came back to unity, it's underappreciated but a good comfort choice to play. The navals mechanic is allot better than blackflag, that I lose so much time grinding everything in rouge and having a blast playing it. Can't say I appreciate the story.
I haven't played this game, I enjoyed Black Flag a lot but I found the ground combat to be very dull and easy, all you had to do was counter attack. Is this game different? Considering giving it a try.

This game gets too much hate. It's personally one of my favorites, getting to play on the opposite side and seeing what it's like is really unique
