Mmm as an aesthetician and nurse I have to disagree with the salicylic acid part. I wish the video specified more regarding which toner is best for your skin type. And should have added that the right toner aids in better penetration of skin products to the epidermis aswell as correcting/ helping balance the skins PH. Salicylic acid or LHA s are great ways to allievate congestion in skin and great for gentle exfoliation, correcting mild discolored skin / evening of discolored skin ( hyperpigmentation/ post inflammatory hyperpigmentation). If you are taking Accutane or any other from of isotretinion, certain antibiotics, or just have a poor skin care regime then maybe reconsider salicylic acid or certain AHA s or BHAs.
My husband uses my toner on his head and face after he shaves. ( he shaves his head). I wondered why my bottle was going so fast, until I saw it was moved from its position and he said he uses it too. (So cute ).
Hi, thank you for this information. I use Paula Choice discoloration serum in morning routine and use Olay Retinol 24 at night time before sleep. Could you please tell if I can use toner before these serum/ cream? Is it safe? Please respond. TIA
Thanks for your question! You should use your cleanser first to rid your skin of any oil, dirt, etc. Then use your toner to help prep your skin for the rest of your routine (serum, moisturizer, eye cream, sunscreen). Let us know if you have any other questions about this 😊
@@FleurBee1) what's a difference between a toner and serum.... And Q2) what should be the sequence or order of using these products which I'm using right now:- cleanser, moisturizer, sun's cream and retinol.....
@@demigodtherapper483 Hi Thank you for reaching out! Toner is used to cleanse and exfoliate skin, It can work as a great palate refresher before applying something like a moisturizer. A serum is used to provide skin targeted ingredients depending on what the serum is made from. Like our Just dew it serum is super hydrating so when you use it, you are introducing a lot of fine hydrating properties into the skin. Your sequence based on the products you have should be: Cleanser, Moisturizer, Sun Screen. I would recommend only using Retinol at night time based on it's reaction with the sun.
Thank you for sharing the basics of using a toner. I like that toners can remove oil.
You're welcome! 💚
