13:07 Caleb was actually correct, the creature is called a behemoth. Normally they are friendly creature, they will only fight back when attacked. Despite their size, almost no corpses of them were found which suggest that they are very powerful. The one that was above the city was rumored to be a behemoth that was causing havoc in that location at the time and was slain by the North God. The death of the behemoth caused a chain reaction, where other creature would eat its remains, creating an ecosystem around it, much like when a whale dies in our world. The only different is that the creatures' offspring would mutate little by little after eating it because how strong of a creature the behemoth is and generations gone by is what made the creatures in that location as strong as today's.
16:58 Also, just a friendly reminder, the Man god did NOT wanted Rudy to come here, saying that Rudy would regret it if he stayed at home, but would regret it more if he were to come here
damn a lot of people missing the orsted coad huh
Bro, my brain thought of Wirbel from Frieren when i see the coat until someone pointed it's the coat that Orsted wore during their meeting at the mountain 😂
@@devtehdrhax866 When I saw Wirbel I thought Orsted junior.
Even Rudeus missed it which is extremely odd. Rudeus literally has severe trauma about Orsted but doesn't remember what his coat looks like... lol. I noticed instantly.
@@dazeen9591 Who says he missed it? He had a strong reaction.
@@ComradeArthur that was a different sort of reaction. He was reacting to it as a weird sweaty piece of clothing. He didn't associate the clothing with Orsted otherwise he would have had a panic attack similar to seeing Nanahoshi in the academy.
in the LN they try out traveling at night but the monsters became so active and numerus that they quickly decided that it was better not to
In the novels they went a little more in depth to way the teleportation is forbidden. It's because during the great demon war the Demons used them as away to invade behind enemy lines. After the war the human kingdoms agreed to destroy any teleport circle they found. Of course some were never found or kept secret by a select few who knew about them like The Dragon God.
The Man God didn't tell Rudy to come here. He specifically told him not to.
I'm pretty sure they theorized last week that telling him to stay and mate with the beast girls was all a ploy to make him leave without telling him to.
yeah they think it's a reverse-psychology type of stuff
@@just-eeb Well if they theorized it, it must be fact!
@@Stonewielder If it's their current working theory, I don't know why they wouldn't bring it up in their discussions.
@@just-eeb It's not that they just brought it up, they stated it as fact.
They did actually find traveling companions at the oasis where Elinalise went man-hunting in the light novel. Not quite for helping her with her curse, but as guides to find their actual destination. And in fact they did take casualties and have a bit more adventure before they met up with Paul and the gang.
pretty sure the only reason there's no felt time delay for the person being teleported is because it's as Rudy thought, teleportation is simply high speed movement and in real world physics the faster you move the slower time for you moves, movement at near light speed would make it seem that no time at all passed for the moving object, of course another factor in time is gravity but i will simply assume the planet they are on is fairly similar to earth in that regard
as for a fun little trivia fact: we actually have a relatively good idea how matter could move at near light speed, by removing the influence of the Higgs field, matter would lose it's mass, in theory this should allow it to accelerate up to the universal limit, of course we still have no clue how to accomplish this, how to turn it back on or any of that useful stuff, just what method we would have to use
Interesting! So magic could negate the influence of the Higgs field. Learned something new today. Thanks!
5:05 One girlish form of Rudeus' name could be Ludia. Rudeus' name is similar to the latin word ludius, _actor/performer_
6:40 That would be Matsukaze!
10:30 "Yeah! Fuck that!" That's the opposite of what you wanna do, isn't it?
11:10 That was a Saint-tier Earth spell. Rudeus had learned it in the university.
14:35 The creature is known as a Behemoth. That particular one was slain by a famous hero some three centuries before. He'd also slain a great dragon out of whose bones 48 swords (and IIRC one extra) were made. Ghislaine's and Eris' swords are among their number. So yeah, the world is full of tales and legends that are generally factual and historical.
15:20 Rudeus had read a book of world history in the Boreas library and dismissed much of it as myth. It stretched back 100 000 years, to a time when there were six worlds, one for each major race. The Dragonfolk made war upon the others 20 000 years before present and as a result only the Human World remains, with only dregs of the other races surviving as refugees. The past 10 000 years have seen three major wars between Humanity and Demonfolk. Teleportation circles were forbidden after a major war instigated by Kishirika Kishirisu some seven thousand years ago.
The Dragon he recited about at the pedestal was one of the figures involved in the war by the Dragonfolk, a general serving the original Dragon God. Him and four others battled their god in the end and all perished, along with the Dragon God. Each subsequent carrier of the title has simply been the strongest individual of the Dragonfolk.
Big Horse.
Some breeds of draft horses are *stupid* big. The biggest is the Shire horse.
And some Shire horses are bigger than others. You look up the stats on the biggest Shires horses .... So, while that was a *stupid* big ass horse, it's possible.
You *don't* travel at night because that's when the big scary nocturnal monsters come out.
The horses name is matsukaze, according to google: waiting wind
7:00 Look up modern horses that were bred for the North. You got these big lumbering things that can push through 4 foot snow drifts. So the horse design is actually accurately researched for this ecosphere
It’s a shame that they skipped half a novel of content. At least 3 episodes worth. Biggest content skip in the entire series so far.
I mean in a 12 episode season they have to take some liberities, in they removed content from the earlier episodes it would be the same thing. No LN has ever been adapted where they include everything, it's just not feasible.
Well, if the content never comes up again, and does not serve to develop the main characters in a meaningful way, then it should be totally fine to skip. 😅
@@steve_yuThe problem is from what I know is that it was actually significant content like Rudy killing an actual human being for the first time. I am anime-only and so I don’t know everything but there was some spicy stuff cut out
The moment is coming...
WOW a lot of people in the comment can get a concept of "anime only" and "theorizing" its what is fun about theorizing and dont know what comes next you guess stuff, even if its a dumb theory its still a Theory i swear anime fans nowdays just hate fun. Thats why watching Original anime right now is more fun because no one know what happen next and nobody trying to be a dick and correct people for having fun theorizing
There's a clear difference between having theories and making those said theories canon when it's never been proven otherwise. It's cringe.
I read the novels and I still like the theorizing, even if they are wrong and if they are right I can chuckle to myself, knowingly.
you must be new to the bros. they have a habit of thinking their theories are canon and making futher theories based on the supposed cannon. then they get disapointed when something contradicts their second theory because it was based on facts ( the first theory itself lmao). it gets annoying when it happens every show every other season.
@@EtherSword"and making them canon," tf you mean making them canon. Believing your own theory isn't making it canon.
Yep!
Aha!
Right!
Sure!
Of course!
Yeah!
ok!
mm uh!
alright!
mkay!
Hell yeah!
Nice!
Exactly!
Yes!
I can't wait for the next episodes!
Jeez the comments complaining about the bros theorizing and being wrong about it are so annoying like who cares? I really havent noticed it be a big deal at all, at least not this show. They take it fine when they are wrong and they do get a lot of stuff right and provide interesting perspectives and thought processes. Just chill out
The long-winded brothers
The Autistic Brothers
Yall are so freaking annoying! The Man God specifically told Rudy not to come here!!! Stop acting like yall know better than the show! It told you DIRECTLY...
The Frieren reactions prove that they are incapable!
They do have a bad habit of assuming their theories are always right. Even if the story directly says it isn’t
Why you getting irritated to people reacting?
@@brianhm23 why are you watching people reacting?
@brianhm23 I just got done watching them react to yu yu hakusho, and the bros would act like they knew more about the show than Togashi it's kinda weird; kind of cringe.
Why do y'all think you're smarter than the show? Why do you think you're five moves ahead??? Stop trying to predict every single thing and just watch it play out 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Bro shut the fuck up. This is the content we signed up for. If you don't like it, get out
You're taking this too seriously, some of the fun of discussing and reacting is trying to predict what comes next. That's natural.
